Did Dazai- think he would be seeing his ex-partner again after four years? Yes. Did he think it would be at the ice rink of all places? maybe.
•°~Flashback~°•
It was a winter evening, Dazai- and Chuuya had a day off, so they decided to go ice skate, unbeknownst to Chuuya, Dazai- doesn't know how to ice skate. Chuuya had his professional ice skates he bought a month or so ago. Dazai had to borrow his skates becuase he certainly won't spend money on ice skates.
When they put their skates on, Chuuya was finished first, so he went to tie his hair in a ponytail. Dazai had to admit, Chuuya looked so *hot* with ponytail.
But he for sure wasn't gay.
**Right?**
They went out to the ice rink, Chuuya was warming up, while Dazai was holding onto a wall for support so he doesn't fall.
Chuuya was immediately noticed by everyone with his great ice skating skills, he was doing pirouettes, jumps, even backflips! (I don't know if you can do that on ice, I'm making chuuya look cool)
Dazai resorted to watching Chuuya from the sidelines.
Dazai thought, 'wow Chuuya must've trained for years' which was true.
After Chuuya did a final pose, he saw Dazai on the sidelines who was just watching him, so he slid over to him.
"Why are you just standing there?"
"Because I can~"
"Do you not know how to skate or something?"
"Maybe"
"Loser"
"You wound me, Chibi~"
"Do you want me to teach you?"
"No"
..
"Alright yes I do"
Chuuya grabbed his hand and pulled him to the ice rink, while Dazai was just obediently following.
Chuuya showed him the basics, which Dazai got pretty fast. No wonder he was the demon prodigy
It somehow went from a fun little practice, to a full on dance on the ice. Everyone was watching them, and they didn't care.
The ending pose was chuuya leaning over Dazai, and dazai having his leg up while holding chuuyas hands (idk how to explain poses man 👍😭)

And now he's here, four years later, with Ranpo and his boyfriend Poe, third wheeling on a date.
Dazai knew how to ice skate a bit more, so it wasn't really that hard anymore, but the sight of Chuuya surprised him.
Chuuya was doing even more impressive moves (or Dazai was just in love)
After his whole show, Dazai clapped, which got Chuuyas attention.
Chuuya want over to Dazai and extended his hand and raised eyebrow, dazai already knew what this meant and took his hand, and they went at their dance, four years later.
This time, after they were done..
"You got better"
"Says you"
Their lips press on eachoters, everyone starts clapping, and Ranpo and Poe are smirking, while you see atsushi and akutagawa on the phone jaws dropped.
This reunion went well, huh.
