“Mama! Mama! I found!”
The little pitter patter of bare feet against the hardwood floors of the kitchen pulled Taehyung away from the stove to look at his daughter. “What did you find pup?” He looks into her big curious eyes and notices her hands hidden behind her back.
“Under iah’s bed!” The little girl brings her hands out to show her stuffed bunny that she had lost this morning. “Oh my goodness baby good job! You are the smartest pup!”
The omega chuckles and kisses his daughter on the top of her head as she beams with pride. “Iah mished you bunbun!” She cuddles the rabbit plush close to her chest, breathing in the calming vanilla and tiger lily scent.
“Baby it’s missed, not mished, you silly girl! And your name is Jiah pup not iah!” Taehyung scoops up his daughter into his arms and tickles her belly, eliciting loud laughter from the two-year-old little girl.
“Mama tickles!” Tae blows raspberry kisses on the plump cheeks of the baby and sets her back on the ground.
“Go put bunbun back on your bed and I will help you wash up for dinner, okay?” He pats her bum and sends her off to her room.
Turning back to the stove, the omega adds the final touches to the tteokbokki he had made when he hears the click of a lock and the front door open.
A smile spreads instantly across his lips.
He feels a familiar pair of muscular arms wrap around his waist seconds later, and a nose rubs against his scent gland. The aroma of vanilla and tiger lily, the same scent on Jiah’s ‘bunbun’, fills the room causing Tae to instinctively relax into the hold of his waist. “You’re home early,” he whispers.
“Well I missed my two favorite people, and I couldn’t wait any longer to have them in my arms,” the alpha replies. Tae turns off the stove with his cheeks rapidly changing to a warm shade of red at the words of the other male. “Hmm I wonder who those people could be..” he teases.
He feels a kiss being pressed to his neck and the arms around his waist tighten their grip. “None other than my precious omega and..” the males hear a small gasp, causing the alpha to turn around quickly.
Tae whines at the loss of the warmth and reluctantly turns around to see his daughter with wide eyes and a big, bright, bunny smile.
“Appa’s home!” The alpha puts one knee on the ground and opens his arms widely to welcome the little girl into a hug. He stands up, twirling around once to hear those giggles coming from the baby. He looks at Taehyung with hearts filling his eyes.
“None other than my precious omega, and my beautiful baby girl.”
The male boops Jiah on her nose and scents her thoroughly, ending with a kiss placed in her hair. “Oh so Jiah gets a kiss but your mate gets nothing Kookie? I see how it is..” Tae turns around with a loud sigh, going back to getting dinner plates ready.
“Tae baby if you want a kiss then you should stop pouting and turn around..” he sings the last word teasingly.
Tae’s face lights up with happiness and turns around to face Jungkook. He sees his mate standing in the middle of the kitchen with Jiah balanced on his hip with his arms around her holding her in place.
Both of them have their doe eyes and bunny smiles on full display. Tae takes it all in with a big deep breath. “God I love you both.”
He walks forward and takes Jungkook’s face in his hands, slotting their lips together. The kiss is sweet, yet quick because of the little eyes watching. “Mama iah wanna kiss too!” Tae pulls away with a giggle and kisses his daughter just like she asked.
Jungkook lowers her to the floor and kneels to her level. “Pup, I want you to go to the bathroom and wait for Appa, okay? I will help you wash your hands and we can eat dinner, alright princess?” Jiah nods her head quickly and trots off to the bathroom.
Jungkook stands back up to take the omega in his arms again. “I missed you baby. All I wanted was to be with you today,” he mumbles.
Tae runs his fingers along Jungkook’s back soothingly, breathing in his scent one more time. “I missed you too alpha. But It’s the weekend now so we can be together as a family for two days.”
Jungkook pulls away and pushes his mate’s hair away from his forehead, placing a soft kiss there. “I’ll go help Jiah and I’ll be back. Don’t miss me too much darling,” he winks and walks towards the bathroom.
Tae blushes and chuckles to himself. His alpha is such a tease.
