Cotton Candy climbed up the grassy hill with her pet, Cotton Candy Bird. She shuffled around to find a decent spot at the top of the hill and laid down next to a tree. Her pink eyes looked upwards at the shining night sky, as her pet snuggled next to her.
"The night sky has always been so... sweet! If only I had a cookie by my side to share this moment with me, it would've been so romantical!" Cotton Candy sighed, eyes still focused on the stars in the sky.
Other then the rustling feathers of her pet, the sound was very quiet. Cotton Candy has strayed away from the bustling city and went to stargaze at the outskirts for this night. She's always had a special passion for the stars that gleam above her, and can identify constellations by just glimpsing at them. Just then, a shooting star passed by the Playful Unicorn star set. Cotton Candy quickly made a wish.
"Oh the stars of above, please grant me a cookie with the most loveable attitude that will stay by my side..."
A leaf from the tree fell down and landed on her face. She quickly sat up and saw her pet pecking at the tree's trunk.
"What's so interesting about that tree?" Cotton Candy moved over to the right, closer to the tree.
Cotton Candy carefully stood up and looked around her, there was no cookie or living being in sight. Then she looked up at the tree leaves, only to find them rustling. But there was no wind.
"Is... is any cookie up there?" she asked, scooping up her pet from the ground.
A caped figure then leapt down from the top of the tree, frightening Cotton Candy. The cookie landed behind her. She turned around and a wave of romantic emotions flooded into her heart. She accidentally dropped her pet onto the ground in the process.
"Sincerest apologies, my dear. I didn't mean to scare you." Roguefort Cookie said, holding their staff.
Cotton Candy blushed, "Looks like my heart has been stolen again... hehe."
Roguefort chuckled as Lord Crumbles ||| sniffed Cotton Candy Bird. They looked up at the night sky, "I see, a jewel like yourself also enjoys stargazing."
Cotton Candy's eyes lid up, "You... enjoy stargazing too?"
Roguefort nodded, then lied down on the grass. "Care to join me?" they asked, holding their hand out for Cotton Candy.
Cotton Candy carefully plopped herself onto the grass next to her love interest. Her mind filled with possible romantic situations that could be a result of this interaction. Roguefort pointed at a constellation at the left, "What dazzling constellation is that, hmm?"
Cotton Candy followed their pointing direction and responded honestly, "I.. have no idea."
Roguefort thought about a response for a second, before replying, "Since we both have no idea, we can name it to our heart's content. How about... 'the Jewel and the Heart'?"
Cotton Candy may be overthinking about it, but perhaps that's a reference to both of them? She didn't want to point it out, since as far as she knows, this relationship is one-sided. Roguefort Cookie smiled at Cotton Candy, turning their head to face her.
Cotton Candy turned her head to look back at Roguefort. There was a facial expression in which she could not decipher on Roguefort's face. Was it love? Was it glee?
"Roguefort, I like you..." Cotton Candy blurted out, before getting all flustered and covering her face with her hands. She heard Roguefort laugh quietly. She felt the gloved hands rest onto hers as it peeled hers off her face. She looked at Roguefort's face, there seemed to be a shade of red that covered their... face. Could it be? Could Roguefort like her back? Roguefort's hands still cupping her hands between them.
Roguefort then quickly kissed Cotton Candy's forehead. It was quite sudden, Cotton Candy couldn't even reacted fast enough before Roguefort started hugging her. They whispered something in her ear, "There are a thousand other jewels in Crispia and in the night sky. But the prettiest, shiniest, dazzling one has to be you."
Cotton Candy Bird snuggled with Lord Crumbles ||| for the rest of the stargazing period, and so did their owners.
