In heaven where everything is nice and beautiful there is a girl developing complicated feelings unfitting for heaven. That girl is no ordinary girl,it's Emily one of the most powerful creatures in heaven- a seraphim angel.
Emily and Adam´s relationship has a always been hard to describe,to a stranger´s eye it could be simply described as “indifferent”. Emily knows Adam is a person with questionable morals. Emily a seraphim angel one of the most highest position in heaven among Sera has a strong morals and high empathy,something Adam seems to greatly lack. Emily is always kind and sweet to everyone no matter what, even to Adam. So her behavior towards Adam does not seem out of ordinary. However looking deeper into it you could notice many things. Sera is like a mother to Emily, one of the only people that Adam respects and even fears is Sera, this also somewhat applies to Emily. Being by Sera´s side and seen as “daughter” or younger sister of Sera means to Adam that she should not upset Emily, because that directly disrespects Sera. So Adam is a little nicer towards Emily than anyone else, even nicer than to Sera,who bosses him around and whom Adam also fears.
Besides everything nice and neat in heaven Emily lacks a male figure in her life. Her life is in order,strict rules of heaven and under the strict eye of Sera, Adam is the little chaos in her perfect life.
Adam walks towards Emily with hands behind his back,he smirks and says
“Hey Em,guess what I have?”
Emily, confused asks her “Oh what?”
Adam smirks even wider and gets closer to Emily” Close your eyes and give me your hands”
Emily is hesitant and before she closes her eyes and reaches her arms out she says “Okey,but it better not be anything gross or weird”
Adam puts something in her hands,he seems excited.
Emily feels something in her hands,something hard and cold.
Adam´s excitement fades “Aww man” he exhausts
Emily now opens her eyes and hands,revealing a little crab in her hands.she giggles “Pfft,so this was your grand prank of the day?”
Adam rolls his eyes and mumbles “it was suppose to snip you a bit but I guess it didn't want to”
Emily gasps and her voice tone gets a bit serious ”Heey! thats rude!You wanted to hurt me?”she puts the little crab on the ground.
Adam pulls away seeing her frustrated. He waves his hands and says” No No!Well I guess a little,he has little claws,it wouldn't had hurt much” he mumbles”I just wanted to see the look on your face if he had”
Emily snickers and she puts her hand on her cheek “Heh,I guess I can accept that,you know Im not easily startled”
Adam nods and smiles “And I´ll keep trying till I get that face” he bursts to laughter “That would be fucking hilarious” Adam puts his arms on his faces mockingly trying to impersonate Emily letting out a girly squeak “Eek!”
Emily says a bit embarrassed with louder voice “Hey! I don't sound like that,I would never-”she smiles “You can keep trying though,thats a sound you won't get out of me”
Adam makes a flirty face and bites his lips”Well I could in bed…”
Emily meets his eyes with visible disgust,Adam bursts into laughter again”Jk! that face of yours is fucking hilarious” he gasps for air as he laughs and wipes tears Emily smiles softly,Adam continues ”Like I would touch a seraphim” laughter continues.
Emily is quiet,her face is blank staring at Adam.
Adam notices her mood changing. He stops laughing and frowns while smiling getting closer to Emily. He takes the crab from the ground,opens Emily´s hands with his long fingers and big hands as he places the crab inside of her small palms. Adam smiles awkwardly and says “Well,I guess you have to take care of this guy for a now”
Emily eyes Adam and then looks inside her palms,the crab smiles at her.
She looks at Adam and says “He is in good hands,I promise”
Adam nods,smiles and says”Bet” then he flies away.
Emily watches him fly away,she blushes as she pulls crab closer to her chest,
she exhausts sadly ” Never touch a seraphim”.
She thinks to herself “is this considered as a gift?a crab sure is special gift…but could it be-speical…am I special to Adam?” she shakes her head “No! It was just a leftover from prank,don´t be silly Emily” she looks at the crab and thinks to herself “Adam did seem at least a little concerned of me,that was so stupid of me getting myself worked over such a thing,I am a seraphim after all” she puts the crab on her shoulder and smiles at him.Then she frowns and continues her thoughts
”But no touch,I would like if he would” she shakes her head and blushes” well not like that! but..I guess he kind of did,his hands…” Emily blushes and covers her face and says out audibly”Whats wrong with me?”. Little crab puts her head against her chin and tries to cheer her. Emily smiles and says “Oh Crabby,whatever shall I do?”Emily and her new pet crab on her shoulder walk home while the sun sets.
On balcony outside her room Emily looks at the sunset with melancholy on her face,something that is not usual for her or in general in heaven where everything is supposed to be awesome. She thinks to herself”Adam is like a big brother to me,he is so vain,and selfish,greedy, all of these things,I am a seraphim, a someone who he shall not ever lay a finger on,yet why do I feel this way,why do I want him to touch me,why do I want him near me,his laugh…his smile,behind all that and the mask,Id like to believe there is someone who is genuine.”Emily blushes”Oh how I hate this feeling!” she lets out a grunt. Her thoughts continue” Adam makes me feel all sort of things, I have no idea why, what is this feeling”
The feeling Emily is feeling is love,Emily for a while now has been falling for Adam,the more time they spend together the more she falls. While Emily is no fool she is a fool in love. Emily´s idea of love is that love is supposed to be positive,love is supposed to be between two people who love each other and give each other positive feelings. Emily does not know that what she is feeling is love, heaven and Sera has protected her from harm of the world, showering her with love and positivity, feeling anything towards someone else but happy feelings to Emily´s understanding can´t be love. She is about to learn that she is very wrong,thus begins her fall.
