A shattered moon hung over the snowy landscape as the girl in red stalked before a grave.
A growl could be heard and looking behind herself she saw several beasts. Wolf like in some ways but with eyes of glowing red and boney white protrusions and armor as several stood to their hind legs.
The girl smirked, whipping out a crimson scythe and burst forward slashing into the creatures with skill and grace that spoke of experience. Action and counter action, a calculated dance
Duck under a claw swing, lob off the arm.
Jump over a lunge and bring the blade into it's back from above.
When they group together send out some light projectiles to weaken and thin said group out.
With a flurry of swings the girl in red soon found herself the last one standing as her attackers faded to darkness.

The girl smirked at the pop up before her eyes as she saw the EXP from both the fight and quest reward pushed her up JUST enough to achieve the next level before scrolling through a menu and selecting SKILL TREE.
SELECT SKILL: PETAL BURST?
After selecting yes the girl turned to leave.
"Heya Ruby!" Right outside the area was a smirking blond. "Ya just couldn't resist making another reaper could you sis?"
"I won't apologize for liking the class with the BEST weapon type Yang" Ruby replied, twirling her scythe for emphasis "Anyways how did your class quest go?" Ruby inquired walking next to her sister.
"Eh, brawlers a pretty straight forward class compared to artificer so it was definitely simpler, still fun though! Nothing like beating chumps up with ma bare hands~"
The sisters giggled
"But anyways Sis, we gotta log off about now"
"Awww, already?"
"Yep, check the time"
"Crap that took longer than I thought!"
"Alrighty then sis, let's grab dinner, don't wanna keep dad waiting"

Weiss Schnee pulled off her mask and wiped the sweat from her brow as fencing practice came to an end.
As she got changed and stowed her things away in the locker room she turned to the girl next to her "Good work as always Pyrrha"
The redhead nodded "You handled yourself quite well too Weiss"
The platinum blond haired girl let out a sigh "Thank you but honestly I'm just happy practice didn't run long today."
Pyrrha raised an eyebrow "Oh really? What else do you have planned?"
"I've got choir practice after this, then my next tutoring assignment and then I have to get home before curfew and handle my own homework with mabey a bit of test prep if I've got time."
"Sounds like things are pact pretty tight"
Weiss sighed and shrugged "Mabey but it's nothing I can't handle"
As the two finished changing out their uniforms and gathering their things they continued to talk as they exited the room.
"Seriously Weiss if you push yourself too much it could affect your health and that won't help anyone" the taller girl continued concerned. "You should consider finding something to relax with in your spare time"
"Oh really, then what do you suggest?" The heiress asked raising an eyebrow.
"Have you ever heard of Remnant Online for Scroll VR?"
"What? Aren't those kinda things only for shut ins with no real life?" She responded incredulous.
"That's just a stereotype Weiss. Listen, me and some online freinds play regularly on the weekends, give it a try. Everyone needs a break now and again and this is a nice one.
Weiss stood genuinely shocked. Her and Pyrrha weren't precisely freinds but they'd built up a amicable acquaintance over shared proximity. Because of this Weiss was decently aware that despite her reputation, honor student golden girl Pyrrha Nikos was in fact, not perfect.
But she was pretty dammed close from Weiss's perspective!
So it was naturally surprising to see her admit to something Weiss would never admit to it a million years.

"I'm home!" Blake Belladonna called as she stepped into the large house.
"Oh Blake! Can you come to the kitchen dear?" "Ok!"
The Black haired girl strolled into the kitchen where she suddenly found a gift wrapped box thrust into her hands!
"Huh? What's this all about mom?"
Kali smiled at her daughter "Well since we couldn't well celebrate your birthday while you were... out."
Blake winced
"So..happy late birthday!"
"M-mom no, I don't deserve-" She was cut off by her mother's sudden embrace
"Hush dear, you made a mistake and as far as I'm concerned the pain it gave you is worse than any punishment me or your father could give you"
She stepped back
"You've bounced back in school phenomenonaly and I think you deserve a little something extra to have fun with in your free time!" She smiled warmly.
"Thanks mom" Blake smiled back even as a voice in the back of her head hissed 'You don't deserve this'
Soon enough Blake walked back up to her room and unwrapped her gift finding a VR console and a game.
"Remnant Online huh?"

Weiss dashed up to her room. It was irrational she knew, father would be at work for hours, Whitley was holed up in his own room with school work and mother if she was awake wasn't likely in any shape to notice the small package her youngest daughter was clinging to her chest.
Still, soon as she was in her room she shut the door and waited a moment before carefully opening the package.
The console itself was a rather sleek headset developed by Polendina tech that saw use in a number of more practical fields...and she was going to be one of the mouth breathers that used it to play games
'God I feel silly...'
Shaking her head Weiss picked up the games case, she'd already come this far.
The cover art was a actually rather beautiful depiction of a shattered moon behind a castle with the games title plastered across.
Laying down on her bed and slipping it on after putting the game in Weiss found herself in a white voide with several options displayed before her.
She decided to go with something simple, a ponytail like her real hair was usually in and a similar build to her actual self...then she got to hair color.
'Wait I can make the hair white? But what it's showing so far doesn't make the avatar look any older than me!'
After a quick click to see how it looks
'Huh that's...actually kinda nice'
Then she mis-clicked and gave herself a scar over her eye... then clicked finished before she could undo it.
'Shit! Ugh, geuss I'll just have to deal with that'

Even distribution of Aura and Melee skills.
Every class had a little fluff text quote along with the basic description, something about that one spoke to Weiss.

Blake went about character creation, she was never a big video game person but she'd read some lit rpg stories so she liked to think she wasn't wandering in completely blind.
The first thing that caught her attention was the race selection.
On the surface there were only two, Human & Faunus. But once Blake toggled to it she saw it actually incredibly expensive with a variety of different animal traits to choose from!
She spent some time playing around with it until she settled on Cat ears.
'Heh, cute'
After she finished on appearance she moved on to class selection

Lower Aura, higher stealth.
'Looks good' Blake thought to herself as she got everything set and started up the game proper...'
