Chapter Text
Asriel, who was a young goat monster of royal status walked through the ruins; picking up flowers and weeds trying to make the place look nice. He suddenly heard a loud thud from nearby, he dropped the flowers he was holding and ran to investigate. And as he turned the corner he saw it, or her. A human laying face down on the ground, her body illuminated by the dim light from the moon above. She pushed herself up with trembling arms and blood leaked down from her head, it had already soaked into her sweater. Quickly Asriel ran over and helped her to her feet "Oh my your hurt l-let me take you to mom she can help!" with a look of confusion the human stared at Asriel before saying "okay" and with that Asriel held onto the humans arm walking them through the ruins. "Im Asriel, whats your name?"
"Chara" the human spoke her voice soft and quiet as she was barely able to stand on her own. "oh thats a neat name! well were almost home, mom will fix you up in no time!" he said proudly causing chara to giggle "your funny" she commented as she whiped the blood on her face with her sleeve resaulting in another stain. As the door opened Asriel called out "MOM!" A much taller goat woman came in, she wore a long purple robe with loose white sleeves and a symbol was on the middle. She gasped sharply and ran over kneeling down to chara "oh my!" she put her hands on the childs head and a soft green glow emited from them as the painful feeling went away and the bleeding stops. Chara's face shows that of awe as this happened, she knew about monsters having healing magic but it was different actually experiencing it "there all better, lets get you cleaned up."
She stood up taking Chara by the hand and lead her into the kitchen where she took a rag and whiped the blood off of Chara's face revealing nothing but a faint scar. "you can barely tell it was there" the woman says "oh! let me intoduce myself, im Toriel i see youve already met my son Asriel." Chara gave a soft smile along with a nod after she said that. "well let me show you your room then little one" Toriel said leading chara to a room with 2 beds, she smiles as chara went in and sat on one of the beds "ill leave you to get settled" she said and closed the door leaving chara alone in the dark room. Chara layed on her back with a soft sigh as she stared up at the ceiling "these..monsters seem nice, maybe my life will get better down here" she said quietly speaking to herself then closed her eyes drifting off to sleep.
