Work Text:

Kamacuras was thrown onto the ground with a missing front leg and a pair of wings. It yelped as it crawled away from the eater, a futile attempt.

Adjirantis, the Mountains’ Centipede, approached close to the mantis, trembling the earth with its countless joint legs before wrapping and locking the Kamacuras until escape was none.

Kamacuras roared in agony, only to be answered by four tusks shoving directly at its head. The body twitched and shook, and later it went cold…

Adjirantis separated her tusks from the dead mantis. Without hesitation, the centipede began eating what remains of lifeless Kamacuras.

If there is one thing Adjirantis wasn’t aware of, she is in the land where glaciers dominated the most… unnaturally.

And the Monster King wouldn’t be so kind to an “invader” stepping into his circle. The centipede noticed something blue glowing at the side of her face. Looking at it instantly made her leap away from her position, and a ray of frost hit the ground instead. Creating small mountains of ice!

Adjirantis wasted no time looking at the incoming opponent. The ground crumbles as stomps march and echo. Snow fell, cold wind flowed, and a low grow released from the beast. His snout emitted chilling air, and dorsal plates vibrated the light of azure.

It was none other than SeitakōriGoji, the Beast who leered in snowstorms.

The centipede responded with intimidation, and so did the beast. Seitakōri ran toward her and impressively jumped up despite the weight he carried himself. Adjirantis swiftly backed away to avoid his strike. The Kaiju King hit the ground, grumbling, and turbulence echoed from the impact of his feet!

Now, it's her chance. Adjirantis lunged herself with tusks prepared, aiming at Seitakōri’s neck. Just in time, he caught the tusks with both of his palms. Dead wrong to think the Monster King would tolerate an easy victory.

Seitakōri's hand formed into a fist, and the arm cocked back. The azure light surrounded his entire forearm, and ice replaced the light from his claws reaching down to the elbow!

His fist rocketed, going from low to high and uppercutting the centipede. From the contact, Adjirantis’ head was thrown upward as the chunk of ice shattered. Creating a cry of explosion-like vibration!

Adjirantis felt her head slowly fall into unconsciousness. But not for long. Her vision returned, and she went in for a headbutt! Stunning Seitakōri as he retreated away.

The claw on the tip of Adjirantis’ tail reached behind, grabbed the back of Seitakōri's neck and pulled him away in a painful manner. The beast shrieked, and he was flung away! Despite his heavyweight, one must not underestimate the sheer strength of the centipede.

Seitakōri lifted his head from the ground after repeatedly ragdolling, charging up ice cold bīng chíllíng breath. Releasing the frost ray, Adjirantis avoided the blast by circling the Monster King, only to have his ray follow her behind. Seitakōri stopped, seemingly adapting to the advantage of the centipede. If she only circled him until he was out of ice, he'd blast ahead of her. He fired another frost breath, creating a bridge-like line on her front view, which forced her to pause sprinting.

Something glowed white and blue on one side of her vision. The Centipede glanced before she was struck by the ray. Seitakōri spammed the frost breath until he constructed a castle of ice pillars.

It seemed that was the end… Seitakōri roared victoriously. One will die from the cold of ice as it slows chemical processes. Seitakōri turned around and wandered off. Then, he stopped.

Something… doesn’t feel right.

The beast looked back at the castle of pillars, sensing as if his battle was far from over. To make sure he ACTUALLY earned his win, Seitakōri went back and checked the pillars. Spectating every angle, hoping to catch Adjirantis’ silhouette, but to no avail. He was sure he hit the centipede, so why the doubt?

The beast smacked the ground with his tail in frustration as he couldn’t shake off the uncertain feeling. And Mother Nature responded. The ground started shaking, and earthquakes attempted to imbalance the Monster King. Seitakōri snorted with a fury, just as he thought. He ordered the snowstorm to howl louder.

The earthquake got louder,… and louder UNTIL ADJIRANTIS EMERGED FROM THE GROUND AND SNOW. FALLING ON TO HIM! The centipede wrapped her lengthy body, and Seitakōri began twerking his body, discomforted by her jointed legs impaling his thick hide body.

Adjirantis must be careful with how she wrapped his body. If she had gone in ruthlessly, his dorsal plates would have injured her unintentionally. The Monster King tried to catch the Centipede, turning his head back and forth, but to no avail, thanks to her long body.

Adjirantis bit his neck, but his thick hide countered her tusks. She repeatedly stung him until her tusks finally broke the thick hide and went into his flesh. Seitakōri roared, both in pain and fury. However, his fury dominated the most. Then, he bent down, and the dorsal plates glowed once again.

Sensing a lethal danger, Adjirantis leapt off his body before his dorsal plates formed into colossal ice spikes and then shaped back to their original form. With the Centipede at close range, Seitakōri formed a fist of ice and lunged toward her forehead.

The ice shattered, but Adjirantis wasn’t affected! He widened his eyes as he realized the back of her body was like armour! It was too late for him to come up with a plan. Adjirantis went in and gripped his neck with her tusks furiously, choking the Monster King until he died. Time was ticking, and Seitakōri was losing oxygen. The noise in his ears became eerie, and his body started to go limp.

His eyes open as he discovers an advantage! One more trick up his sleeve.

Instead of his dorsal plates glowing, his hands radiate instead! Placing, and gripping on Adjirantis's jointed legs! His hands were proven to be extremely cold - at −273.15 degrees Celsius or even worse! That immediately made the Centipede shriek! Her tusks let him go, and she started shaking her body to escape the cold.

The Monster King gasped for air before properly focusing on his opponent. Just like him, Adjirantis came up with an idea. She headbutted his head again with her armoured forehead. Seitakōri hissed, letting her go.

The two kaijus backed away from one another. Seitakōri slammed his tail and roared at her furiously. She was intimidated by him.

The Centipede glanced at Kamacuras’ corpse, located behind the Monster King. She thought about it. It wasn’t worth dying just for one food. Adjirantis hissed the Monster King before her head aimed toward the ground, somehow drilling it and disappearing.

Seitakōri exhaled, relieved that this battle wasn’t a fated one. Although, there was something about the Centipede’s glance. He gazed back at the dead Kamacuras and wondered… Was it a misunderstanding?

BONUS!

Pity, days without food. Adjirantis rumbled across the forest land with her jointed legs. There is nothing she can do for now. The Moon must have been so greedy if it didn’t allow at least one prey of the night to come out for her.

Hold on… That… stomps. Where was it coming from? And more concerning, why is it like the one she battled with the Monster King?

Adjirantis didn’t hesitate to turn around. Seitakōri! Followed her from his territory to the forest?! The Centipede growled, annoyed by the stubbornness of the beast.

But strange… There was no snowstorm around him.

She saw the Kamacuras she left from the battle, hanging from his jaw. Seitakōri approached closer, dropping the insect on the ground as he offered her the food.

The kaijus simply stared at one another in silence…

~~~~~~~~~~~
Seitakōri wondered what ridiculousness had brought to him this time. As if being trapped under Antarctica wasn’t enough, Adjirantis wouldn’t allow him to leave as she tightened her extensive body on him while devouring the Kamacuras. Outrageous! He didn’t expect the outcome or whatever sorceries or forces stopped him from attacking her back! He only sat there like a duck!
However, this seemed… not too bad. He hated to admit it, but it sure does feel nice to not battle kaijus every day. The Monster King gazed at the steady moon. Perhaps… Perhaps the Moon wasn’t always greedy.
BONUS II!
     “SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP, YOU IDIOT!” Kondo shouted, both aggressively and passively at the hallucinating Shogun.
      “Human, this is no time to panic!” The Ultra replied, confident in the solution to their situation.
          “This is the PERFECT time to panic! I’m lost! The ship’s gone! They are gonna come back in a million light years and it’s ALL YOUR FAULT!” Kondo blamed Shogus as he pointed at him.
         “MY FAULT?! If you hadn’t pressured me in the FIRST PLACE.”
Kondo groaned. “Well, you and your stupid little “fight for honour” has taken away EVERYTHING important to me!”
       “Don’t tell me about importance! Because of YOU, the entire security of this entire universe is in jeopardy!” Shogun stated.
Baffled by the Ultra’s most absurd statement that Kondo has ever heard. Not even Niyami’s parents’ (unintentional and unexplained details) death can be compared to this.
    “WHAT?! What are you talking about?!”
Shogun began walking off to begin his monologue. “Right now poised at the edge galaxy, Lord of the Darkness, Emperor has been secretly building a thousand armies of kaijus with incomprehensible powers, able to annihilate entire planets!” He gripped his fist at the stars. “I, along with beloved Masako, have information that reveals his only weakness…”
Then, the being glared at Kondo. “And YOU, my friend! Are responsible for delaying my rendezvous with the Supreme Commander!” Shogun finished.
Kondo said: “YOU. ARE. AN. ALIEEEEEN. YOU ARE NOT THE REAL GUARDIAN OF THE UNIVERSE. YOU ARE AN ALIEN…” Kondo sobbed. “YOU. ARE. JUST. M78’S. PLAYTHING.”
       “... You are a sad strange little man. You have my pity. Farewell.” Shogun gave him a peace sign.
