Chapter Text
A white-haired man with lion ears and tail fell to the ground in pain, an evil laugh coming from the bald and fat human sitting on a throne in front of him. The white-haired beastman glared up at the king in front of him, clutching the large wound on his side from where the sword had sliced him, blood dripping everywhere. “You bastards! this is what I get in return for saving the world?!”
The king stopped laughing to stare down at the lion beastman, a smirk still present on his face. “Well our dear Takeshi, it seems like you don't quite understand your situation yet.” fake pity stained the man’s voice. “You see, now that the demon king is dead you no longer have any use, and you’re too big of a threat to keep around, even your “companions” agree with me! so we have decided to get rid of you.” The king along with the two people he had considered his friends laughed, one of them standing beside the king and the other behind him holding the sword that had sliced his side moments ago. The beastman- Takeshi stilled before he suddenly started laughing as well, causing the other 3 to stop laughing and stare at him.
“HAHAHAHAhahaaaa…I’m glad, I truly am. After all, I now finally have a reason to use that. the thing I’ve spent years developing, although it is far from perfect and I have no idea if it’ll work like intended but… well the worst-case scenario of using it is death so I suppose I won’t have much to lose huh?” Takeshi says his expression having turned melancholy once he stopped laughing. the 3 other people looked at Takeshi with clear confusion and nervousness. “wh-what are you talking about?” the king yelled in panic.
Instead of answering him Takeshi simply started standing up slowly and looked up at the king who was standing up in front of his throne now, the beastman’s golden eyes glowing and the magic circle engraved in his left eye activating with a blue and white glow as a huge and overpowering magic aura started filling the whole room bringing the king and his 2 former companions to their knees
“I have no idea if this will simply send my soul into the body of a child far in the future or if it’ll send me to a completely different world altogether but it doesn't matter as long as it gets me to be in a place where neither of you exist,” Takeshi says as multiple magic circles fill the whole throne hall. “although I suppose I might just get rid of you myself while I'm at it” and as he finishes saying that more magic circles appear but above the 3 other people instead this time and they activate instantly incinerating the king and the 2 others leaving Takeshi on his own laughing like a maniac as the whole room starts getting filled with a blinding light as the many magic circles on the floor start activating and suddenly the light is gone along with Takeshi, leaving only quiet and the blood on the floor and it was like the world stood still as all those who could sense the large amount of magic looked up from what they where doing and the gods simply looked on with some congratulating Takeshi while others grumbled at not being able to see him die. Meanwhile, one god simply smiled kindly as she had sent the soul of the hero to a world she thought would need him the most.

Somewhere else
The very fabric of the world ripped apart and stitched itself up in the same instant, the whole event happening so fast that no one would have noticed, the only sign that it happened being the man who came out of the rip in space. the place that the man appeared being in an abandoned shrine placed inside a cave with a collapsed entrance making it so that nothing could get in or out.
Despite the rough landing, the man with lion ears and tail remained unconscious and unaware of everything that happened around him.
Sometime a long while after
“Gojo-san.”
The man in question looked away from the TV, which had some random movie playing on it, and turned to Kiyotaka Ijichi “Hm? What's up Ijichi” Gojo asked, curious as to why Ijichi of all people had come to talk to him since it had only been an hour since he had officially finished his last mission so there was no reason for anyone really to seek him out already.
“You- ahem, you have another mission.” The man said sweat forming on his forehead.
“Eeehhhhh?! already? But I just got back after finishing my 3rd mission” Gojo exclaims with a pout. Ijichi let out a sigh “I apologize Gojo-san, but there’s nothing I can do when it comes to this specific mission, you were the absolute last option for dealing with this one.”
Gojo looked slightly offended at that “What do you mean last option?”
“Well, it’s more that you were the last option for the specific part that the mission is in right now and the only reason that you even were an option is because of your eyes, you were one of the first options if the mission ended up being a fight against a special grade...” Ijichi responded nervously. “eh? my eyes? why would my six-eyes be needed for this mission?” Gojo asked, confused since he’s never been needed for any mission just because of his eyes.
Ijichi lets out a defeated sigh. “That’s… a bit hard to explain without giving you the mission report.” “then read the report to me” Gojo says now turning fully to face Ijichi
“r-right.. so a few months ago sorcerer who was on a mission in a small town near the national park in the Chugoku region noticed that several curses he stumbled upon all avoided going past a certain area of the town so he decided to investigate it a bit further and found that there was no curses to be found past that area, not even fly heads, and when he had gone and asked some of the residents who live in that area if they had experienced anything weird they all responded that they had only noticed that they always felt amazing whenever they were at home or only went to places within a certain area and that they would always start feeling stressed or slightly depressive if they went to visit somewhere outside of that area.
however, no matter how hard he looked he couldn't find any sign of any cursed spirits or anything that could have caused that kind of thing in the area.
ever since then, multiple sorcerers and windows have been sent to try and figure out the cause and they noticed even a few grade 1s that seemed to run out and away from the area if they accidentally entered it and they would always ignore everything around them when they ran as if they were afraid and panicked.
however they still haven't found the cause, they even tried sending the sorcerer Mei Mei but she couldn't find anything either-”
“eeeehhh?! Mei Mei couldn't find anything?!” Gojo interrupted but Ijichi simply continued.
“...the current theory is that doesn't have cursed energy but perhaps something else that is causing cursed spirits to avoid the area like the plague, so the higher-ups hope that ‘the owner of the six-eyes Satoru Gojo’ might be able to find the cause since you aren’t limited to only being able to see cursed energy and what normal people see. Also, there is no deadline for the mission as long as you figure out the cause and deal with it however you see fit, the higher-ups even decide to pay you up-front for whatever time you spend on the mission, and once you have completed the mission they’ll even pay you extra. they have become quite desperate to figure out what is causing even grade 1 curses to run away from an area as big as this one” he finishes reading out the report. and Gojo simply sits there in silence for a bit.
“Wait so there's no deadline, I can deal with the cause however I see fit once I find it and I’ll be paid both upfront and after the mission is completed?! Is this really the higher-ups I know that gave me this mission?” He exclaims and Ijichi simply nods before handing Gojo a map.
Gojo unfolds the map and looks at the huge outlined area and the shape of the outline reminds him a bit of a dragon but from above. “Is this really the area?” Ijichi responds with a simple nod and “Mei Mei was the one who mapped out the exact area that curses refuse to enter.” “Hah! That's hilarious. It's almost as if there's a dragon or something sleeping under the ground.” Gojo exclaims with amusement “...but if there's already an area mapped out then how come they haven't found anything? Wouldn't it be common sense to search the center of the area?” he then says confusion building on his face.
“They did however only find a seemingly collapsed cave entrance at the end of some overgrown steps, nothing would be able to get into, or out of the cave if there is one, and the cave would have collapsed more than 100 years ago which definitely doesn't match with the time period where the thing appeared and there's no way for it to have been something that was planted there by someone…” Ijichi sighs. “and the higher-ups have ruled out it being a curse that suddenly appeared because the area is simply too big and the center of the area is too far away from where any humans live, and well… there's absolutely no cursed energy in the area at all. the higher-ups also ruled out it simply being a very old cursed object because of the reasons I’ve already said along with the fact that there are absolutely no records anywhere about any cursed object that has anything to do with something dragon-related.”
that whole spiel made Gojo fall deep into thought. “No cursed energy… but it’s letting out so much of whatever energy it covers such a huge area, and whatever energy it is, its something that curses can sense and are avoiding like its the plague, but jujutsu sorcerers cant sense it at all… its almost as if something from a different world altogether appeared in this place.” at the last part, Ijichi slightly fidgets. “tha-that is a theory that was brought up to the higher-ups but they’ve been refusing to give that theory any thought because its “outrageous and definitely impossible”...their words not mine. they simply think that a new type of cursed energy appeared that sorcerers simply can't see which is why it's only been noticed now.” “And yet they believe that I’ll be able to see it? honestly, the thing being from a different world makes more sense since the last owner of Six-eyes would have been able to see this energy if it existed before now in this world, and why would it only be noticed now and so suddenly too if it existed before this?” Gojo says, amused at the higher-ups’ stupidity.
“Everyone else who was sent on the mission before you thinks the same however there's not much we can do to change their minds at the moment unless we find some kind of proof which we can't do without also finding the cause of this whole thing” Ijichi simply responds.
“Ah well, I guess since I can’t avoid this mission I might as well use the fact that there's no deadline to treat my cute little students to a little outing!” Gojo says with great humor in his voice and a huge smile on his face and proceeds to stand up and disappear into thin air leaving Ijichi alone, and with a sigh, he too leaves (like a normal person).
