Work Text:
Suho and Sieun are sitting at the kitchen table together. Suho’s grandma is out running errands, and the two boys are doing homework. At least, Sieun is.
Suho can’t help but look up from his work every so often to look at Sieun. His cute face, eyebrows furrowed in concentration, tongue poking out to lick his lips sometimes. Sieun is the cutest person ever, Suho thinks. His little glances quickly evolve into him abandoning his work and staring.
After a while of staring as Sieun worked diligently, Suho gets tired. He sighs and tilts his head back.
“Sieun-ah… I’m so bored…” he groans, looking at Sieun with a pout.
“Do your work, then you won’t be,” Sieun responds cooly, not looking up for a second.
“Oh come on… don’t be mean dookie,” Suho whines kicking at Sieun’s feet under the table. Sieun stops writing and looks at Suho incredulously.
“…Dookie?” He asks, tilting his head to the side, perplexed, “What’s that?”
Suho grins, happy to have gotten Sieun’s attention.
“Dookie… like pookie but cuter. Since you’re cute.”
Sieun coughs and his cheeks flush a light pink colour. Suho bites back a laugh.
“Pookie?” is all Sieun can say, sounding even more confused.
“They’re like pet names, Sieun-ah! Like baby, honey, lovely… like that. But none of those are cute enough for you.”
Suho loves the way Sieun looks past him, cogs visibly turning in his head as he tries to process what Suho’s going on about. Suho loves a lot about Sieun.
“Ok… just… do your work… dookie?” Sieun says tentatively, sounding like he absolutely wants to die as he sputters out the last word. His face is so red, like a tomato. Suho’s heart melts, flies, jumps out of his chest, shatters and stops all at once. Sieun was just so…
“Ah, cute…” Suho says, picking up his pen again with a blinding grin.
