It was a sizzling day in the crooked streets of Los Angeles with Musical theater songs such as Cell Block Tango, There Right There!, and Fabulous blasting in my Headphones. I was about to be late to the first day of my job as a defense attorney at Wright & Co. “Great, this is a wonderful way to start my first day, god why did I let my phone alarm w-,” All of a sudden I come to a halt when I collide with a Mazda RX-8. I Fly off my bike and plant my face onto the concrete. The concrete burns more than the sun's rays.
A man with gray hair, gray eyes & a Maroon suit with a white cravat gets out of the car with a look on his face that almost made me think he hit me on purpose.
“Are you ok?” He uttered his expression now illegible “Ah- Fuck that hurt like a bitch. Uh yeah, I think I'm okay, just a little scratched up,” Um sorry I didn't mean to run into your car I can pay for repairs,” I observe as we both look at the front of his car. It has a moderate amount of damage. “It's fine I can pay for it,” He sighed.
Where are you in such a rush to?” He questioned “OH SHIT I'm going to be late for the first day of my job. Ughhhhhh!” I heaved as I thought I was totally getting fired today “Well your bike is in no condition to ride and I'd say neither are you. Where are you headed? ” “Wright & Co. I'm a new defense attorney probably not for long though haha,” I said in a slightly annoyed tone “Oh that's perfect I was just on my way there to drop off some files. I'm the Chief Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth you've probably heard of me,” Edgeworth said smugly.
“Nope doesn't ring any bells but I'm Bliss,” I reached my hand out for a firm handshake, Edgeworth looked perplexed. “Huh odd, well nice to meet you,” He gets in the car and I stand up and stumble around from my injury. He starts up the car and classical music starts playing. I hear a loud bang of percussion which makes me jump.
The car ride was mostly quiet except for when I would forget to sing in my head and Mr.Edgeworth would shoot me a dirty look. We zoomed through Los Angeles, all the stores and people a blur. I did however recognize the building in which I now work. I jumped out of the car not waiting for Mr.Edgeworth and sprinted to Mr.Wright's office trying not to run into the crowd of workers in the building.
I swung open the doors of his office. “I'm SO SORRY I'm late!” I start scrambling to explain my absence as of this morning. Mr.Edgeworth enters the room and interrupts me, looking at me he could tell I needed some help explaining myself instead of running my mouth. “I accidentally hit her with my car Wright,” The entire time Mr.Wright was watching this whole situation unfold looking utterly shocked.
He finally spoke up with a calm smile that showed a hint of falsity. “Excuse me Edgeworth you WHAT?!” Mr.Wright then catapulted me out of my seat and started checking me for injuries. “Are you okay ?!” He looked like he was about to explode “Wright; she's fine I already checked” He put his hand on Wright's hand and stared at him.
My new boss stared back with a tinge of blush not breaking eye contact. Mr.Edgeworth must have realized how awkward he looked because he took his hand off of Mr.Wright, his face now red. “Ahem! Anyways
Here's your papers, bye!” Mr.Edgeworth promptly shut the door; well more like slammed it.
I stared at Mr.Wright with a huge grin on my face and said “He has a crush on you, definitely.” He stared at me with a look on his face that made me snicker. “I mean you're not wrong he seems kind of dense about it though,” He relished in thought. Well, I was told he likes the truth so why would he lie about liking Mr.Edgworth. “I think he's just nervous, you should ask him out,” I pushed.”Hmm maybe so, but right now we have work to do I’ll think about it,” He said with a smile.
We spent all day getting files together for a trial that was happening the next day and I was also getting acquainted with my new Coworkers. There's three people that I know work here now other than me and Mr.Wright. 1st Maya Fey, one of the oldest workers at the Wright Anything Agency and Mr.Wright's assistant. Her sister Mia Fey used to own the agency but when she was murdered, and Maya was framed for it. Mr.Wright took over and she's worked for him ever since. She has brown eyes, long straight black hair with a bun on top and fair skin.
2nd is Apollo justice, he helped Mr.Wright when he was framed for murder. (why is everyone always getting framed for murder) During this time Mr.Wright was disbarred because he provided fake evidence, however he was actually framed. Apollo has slightly tanned skin, brown eyes, brown hair that kinda looks like a bug's antenna.
3rd and Lastly I was Athena Ckyes, She isn't as new as me but she's been here a shorter period than the others. I don’t know a lot about her because she talked so much I couldn't understand half of what she was saying. She has bright orange hair, I honestly wonder if it's dyed. She's got blue eyes and fair skin.
Mr.Wright broke me from my train of thought by saying “Hey! Bliss you realize that work is over right?” “Huh?! Oh crap sorry!” I said, still gathering my thoughts. “It's fine I just didn't want you to end up here all night haha!” Mr.Wright said, grabbing his things. “Hey, actually I have a question?” He said, popping up in front me like a fnaf jumpscare, “Yeah? What is it sir?” I exclaimed. “First off you can drop the formalities here, and secondly…wanna go to a party
