“Moony?” Sirius whispered, “Mooony?” He dragged out poking his lover who lay next to him. Sirius would have been content watching his body rise and fall with every breath Remus took, he could have spent his whole life watching how his thin silver scars shone in the sliver of moonlight that creeped through the curtains of their four poster bed. Well, Remus’s four poster bed, but Sirius much preferred to share. “Moons? You asleep?” He whispered knowing damn well Remus was very much asleep. “Well I was” Remus mumbled as he turned his head to face Sirius. His shaggy curls falling into his face that was pressed against his pillow. “I’m bored” Sirius said as he kissed Remus’s shoulder. “Well my love, that is why you go to sleep” remus responded trying to hide his annoyance at being woken up. He never liked being annoyed with Sirius. It was hard to be annoyed at someone so pure and perfect. “But I can’t sleep moony, that’s the problem” he sighed as he dramatically flopped down on the bed, his shiny, ever perfect black hair splaying across his pillow and tickling Remus’s nose. “Pftt” Remus blew his hair out of his face as he threw an arm around Sirius’s bare chest, pulling him close. “Then lay here, with me, and tell me every little thing you want. I’ll sit here and listen, all night if I have to” Remus whispered to Sirius. When he looked at the precious boy next to him, his eyes had already drifted shut, and his breath evened out. “I love to the moon and to Saturn” Remus whispered kissing his hair before closing his own eyes and drifting off to a peaceful sleep knowing that the person he loved more than anyone was safely tucked into his chest. And nothing could ever hurt them.
