Regulus relaxed when James dropped down onto the balcony next to him. As soon as James was settled Regulus leant into him.
"Bad day?" James asked, wrapping his arm around his waist.
"I'm just so tired of it all," Regulus said with a sigh. "I want freedom to decide."
"What do you want to when you graduate?" James asked. Regulus snorted.
"You know I don't have a choice," he said, leaning into him more. James kissed his forehead.
"No, I mean what's your dream?" James asked. Regulus hummed at looked at him, thinking. James smiled down at him and his heart fluttered.
"You," Regulus said. James scrunched his face up in confusion, and he reached up to poke him.
"What do you mean?" he asked.
"You, you're my dream. This, your unending support and your care," he elaborated.
"You've got me for as long as you want me," James said.
"Then I'll have you forever," Regulus said, kissing his cheek.
"I can live with that," he said. Regulus hummed and leant into him again. The soft breeze and the presence of James calmed him from the stressful day.
"What's your dream?" he asked.
"A simple life with you, out of the way of everywhere else, you can do your stars and flying and writing, and I can do my art, and we wouldn't have to worry about anything," James said.
"That'd be nice," Regulus admitted. "We'd have a garden."
"Flowers or food?" he asked.
"Both," he said. "Flowers for you to paint and to decorate the empty spaces, and food to enjoy in cooking or baking."
"You've got it all figured out," James said. Regulus hummed.
"You bring it out in me," he said. James chuckled and kissed his forehead again. Regulus hummed and shivered slightly. James pulled his wand from his pocket and summoned over a blanket. Regulus helped him drape it around them.
"This is nice," James said.
"Very nice," he agreed. James smiled at him, and his heart fluttered slightly.
