Rival Company

Summary:

Once a rival of Fazbear entertainment now an abandoned factory that kids dare each other to break into. So of course Gregory, Cassie and Cody find themselves inside.

Notes:

A dumb crossover between my Eight Parents AU and Poppy playtime. Like in " The other Ballpit" Everything they mention as far as their history goes is NOT CANON to the AU. It's what ever fits these guys' motives mixed with what I'm currently thinking about doing. It is subject to change. I also am not going beyond chapter 3 until chapter 4 comes out and that's IF I'm still hyperfixated on it. I'm more just writing this to get it out of my head.

Chapter 1: A tight squeeze

Chapter Text

It had been a dare. Why Gregory let a Dare get so out of hand he didn’t know. Why Cassie, and Cody had agreed to go with him he also didn’t know.

“ So what are the rule here? We just stay the night or something?” Cody sounded bored as his flashlight beam scanned the walls. Cassie was examining a boxed toy of a cat. Catbee? Weird.

“ Kinda, Tony said we have to bring something back too, not a toy,” He added when Cassie held up the Catbee, “ I’ve never heard of Playtime Co, but I guess it was pretty big-”

“ You’ve never heard of them?!” Cody laughed, “ Dude they’re one of Fazbear’s biggest rivals! Or they used to be anyway, before this place shut down. . .” Cody shrugged.“ My uncle worked here,” He added before moving down further down the hall. Gregory and Cassie followed.

“ What could we bring out that isn’t a toy that proves we were here?”

“ I dunno, a file from the office? A plaque?” the purple clad boy shrugged as they entered what looked like a lobby. Looking up at a statue of a blue noodly toy. Gregory frowned at it, then squinted at the plaque in front of it. “ Huggy Wuggy?” He read, “ That sounds so stupid.”

“ Oh yeah, your parents' names? So much cooler,” Cody said sarcastically, when Gregory gave the boy a deadpanned look he continued, “ Bonny Bunny? Chica Chicken, Freddy Fazbear, DJ Music Man .”

“ Alright alright, I got the point,” Gregory shook his head.

“ Gregory, don't you have your fazwatch?” Cassie asked, “ It has a camera, would a selfie with Huggy count?” Gregory hummed, messing with his watch.

“ It should , Cody c’mere,” Gregory grabbed Cody’s jacket and yanked the other boy into frame, Cassie giggled while the dark skinned boy stumbled, “ It’s a fazwatch, so what the camera sees is really small.” Gregory set up the camera to take the photo so Huggy loomed over them, hand up, looking forward, “ Okay, 3,” the screen being so small, none of the kids noticed the blue creatures gaze flick to them, “ 2” Nore did they notice it lower it’s hand, “ 3!” The Fazwatch made a camera noise, and Gregory examined the image.

“ Yeah that should-” Gregory cut himself off, the other two stared at the image, Huggy behind them had moved so he was smiling just inches above Gregory’s head. The three children exchanged looks before slowly looking over their shoulder at Huggy who was still inches from them

“ Uh. . .” Gregory started, taking a step back, “ H-Hey. . .  um. . . .” Huggy grinned, showing his sharp shark-like teeth. Then he lunged, all three kids scattered, having been through enough Fazbear horrors all three’s reflexes were sharp. The blue creature ran into a wall. While it recovered the three ran to the exit.

“ What the hell is that?!” Cody snapped, Gregory looked over his shoulder to see the blue thing following behind.

“ It must be a security bot,” Gregory told him, as they reached the door, “ If we can get outside, it’ll probably stop-” The doors were locked.

“ shit…” Cody cursed, already looking for an alternative escape route, Cassie pressed herself into Gregory's side as he turned towards Huggy who just grinned as he walked down the hall towards them, “ there was another hall just past him, remember? “ Cody recalled, Gregory nodded.

“ Yeah ok..” they didn't dare confirm they were all thinking the same thing out loud, they just waited for Gregory's command, “ Now ,” the kids scattered, Cassie sprinting a wide left around Huggy while Cody sprinted right. Gregory hesitated before attempting to sprint towards Huggy. He hoped the blue fuzzy noodle thing would reach for one of the others and he'd be able to tightly bob and weave around him but unfortunately Huggy didn't even try to reach for the other kids. He did come to a stop as he stared Gregory down. The boy realized his plan wasn't going to work, and attempted to redirect but it was too late. A yellow hand grabbed his shirt and lifted him up, Gregory instinctively pressed his s.o.s button on his watch. Not that it did him any good, no parent to come to his rescue since he snuck out the rebuilt pizza plex. The blue thing opened its mouth, Gregory could feel the moisture on its breath and almost puke from the smell of rot. If he wasn't moments away from his death, he'd be impressed by the realism of the robotics here.

Then Gregory was suddenly being thrown to the floor with a hard thud. It took the boy a moment to realize what had happened, and what had happened was Cody had barreled into Huggy’s legs, sending him to the ground.

“ Bigger they are the harder they fall,” Cody jested as he grabbed Gregory’s arm and dragged him after Cassie who had paused to watch by the hall opening. But once she saw Gregory was fine she continued down the hall. They heard Huggy get up and screech after them. They found themselves in a large toy assembly room, as they passed the door it sealed shut behind them.

“ Emergency lockdown Initiated, all Playco personnel please stay where you are, seek shelter and whatever you do-” the automated voice was cut off by static.

“ Always at the worst part…” Cody complained, clearly trying to be comedic.

“He spends too much time with Eclipse” Gregory thought before he spoke out loud, “ why is there always a lockdown?” He asked irritably, “ now we're definitely locked in,”

“ At least it's keeping him out?” Cassie pointed out, “ Can you call for help?” She added, she kept losing her Fazwatch, and Cody never got one. Gregory looked at his won't to find the screen smashed in.

“ I must've broken when I fell,” he sighed, “ I know I hit the button on reflex but I don't know if anyone recieved it,” he lamented, Cassie made a stressed whine sound, Cody hummed and looked around the room.

“ So … might be stuck here?” He asked, Gregory nodded, “ damn…”

Cassie didn’t take that well, she first just stared at Gregory, then slowly found herself a corner and sunk to the floor, pulling her legs to her chest. She wasn't panicking yet but she was dangerously close to it. If they didn’t find something to distract her with, both boys exchanged looks before both looked around the room.

“ Cassie look what I found,” Cody called, making her and Gregory turn towards him, he held up a stuffed blue and purple caterpillar with a pugs face. The girl snorted at it as he moved closer to where she was sitting.

“ Awe, he's cute.”

“ Guess what his box said his name was?” Cody nudged her arm as he sat next to her, she raised an eyebrow, petting the toy.

 “ what?” She asked.

“ PJ Pugapillar” Cassie giggled and Cody smiled softly at her while she was distracted, clearly proud of himself. Then he realized Gregory was watching him with an eyebrow raised. The other boy made a mock gagging face but no sound to alert Cassie. Cody flipped him off in response.

“ I'm telling on you when we get home!” Gregory called, pointing at him, Cody threw another spare toy at Gregory who easily dodged.

“ Do not!” Cassie giggled and rolled her eyes, standing up. She hugged the dog plush to her chest.

“ Okay so our options are stay here and hope that Huggy Wuggy doesn't find a way in and that our parents somehow got alerted to our situation,” Cassie listed off, “ or we find our own way out,”

“ I vote the second one,” Cody deadpanned, glancing at the door they came in from, it had a couple dents from Huggy throwing himself into it. It still held strong though. It sounded like the blue thing had given up on the door.

“ I kinda hate to agree with Cody. . so I'm going to pretend he didn't say that but yeah I think we gotta keep moving,” Cody glared at Gregory as he finished his sentence, “ the question though, is how, the door is sealed.” Cody scoffed.

“ We could take a page out of our sister's book,” Cody told Gregory, and when he looked to him Cody pointed to a vent across the room, it was low on the wall, they could easily get into it if it didn't have a vent cap on it.

“ I guess we could try pulling the cap off,” Gregory agreed. The three tried with all their combined strength but the cap did not come off, “ Now what?” Cody huffed, looking around the room again, he spotted a door that had storage written on it. He moved to it and opened it.

“ Hey guys look what I found,” Cody called as he pulled on a yellow pack thing onto his back. Like a back pack. It had two yellow arms sticking out on either side of Cody, its left hand was blue and it’s right was red.

“ What is that?” Gregory asked, Cody seemed to find some controls on the arms.

“ I dunno dude I-” the blue hand shot out, both Cassie and Gregory had to dodge it. It smacked against the vent and remained there. There was a pause, then the vent creaked.

“ What are you doing?” Gregory asked, looking back at Cody.

“ I uh . .  I think I’m realizing the hand in?" The Ventcap suddenly gave way, and snapped towards Cody like a measuring tape when you released one end. It didn’t hit him though, it stopped where the yellow arm met the hand. There was another beat of nothing.“ Uh. . . vents open?” Cody offered, Gregory and Cassie exchanged looks, then looked back to Cody.

“ What Is that?!” They both asked, Cody shrugged.

“ I dunno! That closet was full of em if you guys want one. . . they’re pretty cool,” Cody started shooting the hands around the room.

Once Gregory and Cassie both had their own weird hand packs, that Gregory discovered were called Grabpacks via an obvious sign on the wall that Cody missed , the three kids slipped into the vent and started following its narrow path.

“ Is it just me,” Cassie started in a whisper, as they crept singlefile through the vent. Gregory in front, Cassie behind him, and Cody behind her, “ Or are these vent kinda. . . big,” Cody scoffed.

“ No? We barely fit,” he told her.

“ No I think they are,” Gregory argued, because we can stand in them, with these packs. . . In the plex I wouldn’t have been able to do this. . .” They took a turn and paused, there was an emergency light in the vent, it was illuminating writing on the wall.

Hungry

Leave now

No no no no

Turn around .

“ Working on it,” Cody said to the writing, Gregory refused to admit he smiled at that. Cassie weakly giggled.

“ We don’t know what wrote this or who they were talking to so let’s keep moving-” there was a sound all three were very familiar with in the distance. The sound of crunching metal.

“ That was another Ventcap. . .” Cody hissed.

“ You don’t think that Huggy thing can fit in these vents can he?”

“ No he's too tall,” Cody denied, Gregory pushed on word.

“ Yeah that’s what I used to think about Moon,” He whispered, “ C’mon. “ they kept going.

“ Yeah you got a point, I think Eclipse surprised me the first time he turned up in a vent,” Cody admitted, they heard another creek in the distance.

“ Sh…” They paused, there was a shuffling sound as the creeping got closer.

“ Oh crap it’s him isn't it?” Cody hissed.

“ SH!” The other two hissed back, there was another pause, Gregory heard shuffling behind him, he looked over his shoulder to see Cody squeezing past Cassie so she was now the caboose of their little train. It didn’t take him long to figure out why . The sounds were coming from ahead of them. Cody grabbed Gregory’s shoulder and pulled Gregory back. A yellow hand suddenly came into view, pressing against the side of the vent for leverage as it guided Huggy’s frame through the vent. All three kids cried out in fear, and sprinted back through the vent, taking many random turns as they did. He actually roared after them as he began chasing them. They found an open vent and scrambled out and down a catwalk. It seemed to be over a chasm, it was so dark they couldn’t see the bottom beyond the various crossing pipes and beams. Another catwalk directly below them. The catwalk they were on was blocked by a section of it being broken and bent up.

“ Dead end!” Cassie shouted, Gregory looked around the room, a crate on a ledge above the them, he aimed his own grabpack hands at it and fired, pulling the crate towards him.

“ What are you doing-?” Cody asked,Huggy climbed out of the vent, moving towards them, the crate fell. It hit Huggy on his head, and made the catwalk collapse, Gregory felt Cody grab his shoulder again as they fell, landing hard on the catwalk below them. Huggy fell on the guard rail and slid over the edge, falling into the darkness below them. Gregory peered over the edge panting, then looked back at Cody and Cassie. Cassie still had her Pugapillar doll while Cody was looking over the edge where Huggy had gone. He still had a hand on both of the other two. Then he let go, “ Now what?” Cody asked, looking around, Gregory spotted a door just past them, a door with a large flower painted around it.

“ I guess that’s our only option?” Gregory suggested, Cody and Cassie both looked at it, then the three exchanged looks before all nodded and continued down the catwalk. It wasn’t quite singlefile, but it was still Gregory in front, Cassie behind him, and Cody behind her. Gregory hesitated at the door, then pushed it open. Inside was a mist of red smoke, the room had a glass case across from the door and pillows scattered around the room, a music box echoed through it. There was another door nearby but upon investigation they determined it was locked.

“ It’s one of those old fashion dolls,” Cassie said suddenly, making Gregory and Cody look to her. She was looking inside the glass case where a small doll stood. Her eyes closed, red hair on either side. Cody shuddered.

“ Reminds me of Circus Baby, you remember Circus baby?” He asked Gregory who shrugged.

“ My parents don't’ like talking about the funtimes, or spring locks… or any of Fazbear Entertainment’s history,” Gregory added, “ I learn most stuff from you and Vanessa.”

“ Hm.” Cody turned back to the doll, “ Wait, does she have a key?” Cody asked suddenly, pointing at the doll. Sure enough there was a key in the doll’s tiny hands. Cassie hesitated, then tried to open the case.

“ Yeah, I dunno, I’ve seen enough horror films to know not to open the haunted doll case,” Gregory told her, Cody laughed.

“ They won’t tell you about their own history but they let you watch horror movies?”

“ I didn’t say they let me,” Gregory snarked back, grinning. Cassie took a couple steps back and fired her grabpack’s hand at it. Then ripped the case’s door off, “ Jeez Cassie! If you want a doll that bad, I’m sure the Moms will take you to a flea market,” Gregory told her, she glared at him.

“ We need the key, doesn’t matter if the doll is haunted or not.”

“ I beg to differ,” Cody stuffed his hands in his jacket pockets. Cassie reached for the key but before she could reach it the Doll’s eyes opened. Bright realistic blue eyes, “ Now you’ve done it,” Cody breathed moving to stand at Cassie’s side, Gregory moved to her other side, both ready to get  between her and this doll if needed. The doll looked between the three of them, then smiled.

“ You opened my case. . .”
