At this point Lewis shouldn’t be surprised by anything Seb doesn’t. Lewis loved the omega; he does but he always known that the omega will do anything to help people; especially omegas and pups.
It started as just a normal morning Sebastian was up early and outside, tending to his garden and his bees. Lewis sometimes got nervous that Sebastian couldn’t be seen from the house with how away way his garden and bee boxes were (after finding out Lando was allergic to bees one morning when he went out to help and ended up being rushed to the hospital when he stopped breathing after getting stung Seb made the pack move the bee boxes as far out as possible to save the young omega from getting stung again) but he knew there were always pack member roaming around and his omega was strong and able to fend for himself. Lewis was sitting in the kitchen with other pack member drinking a cup of tea when the back door slammed opened. Lewis jumped and turned to see Sebastian standing there clearly out of breath and something in his arms.
“Seb, what’s happening?” Lewis got up, approaching his omega wanting to be ready in case something was wrong.
“I found this pup outside and I’m keeping them.” Sebastian said and Lewis could see now that the bundle in his mate’s arms was in fact a pup who didn’t look older than 2.
“What happened?”
“I don’t know. I was just out tending to my flowers and bees as I do every morning and a I heard a rustling in the trees, and I knew something was wrong but the last thing that I expected was to see a little pup there. I called out to see if someone was with them but when I got nothing back, I scooped them up and ran back here. “
“Okay, okay. Let’s get them...”
“Her”
“Her something to eat and some proper clothes and we’ll go from there.” Lewis put his hand on Sebastian’s back, pressing a kiss to his forehead and led him toward the kitchen. Some of the pack member had gathered around to see what was going on.
“Lance, can you get some of Poppy’s clothes for this little one.” The omega nodded, rushing off to get some of his own daughter’s clothes for the new pup.
“Fernando can you call the police.” Sebastian whined next to the alpha. Lewis shushed him, running a hand through his hair.
“Lew no.”
“We have to. I know that you’re already attached to the pup but if she is someone pup who happened to wander off, we need to return her.”
“I know, doesn’t mean I like it.” Lewis knew this, he knew how much his mate wanted to have a pup and how sad he was that he wasn’t able to have any of his own. Lewis knew Sebastian treated all their young pack member as his pups but all he’s ever wanted was one of his own and Lewis hated that he might be taking a pup from his mate.
“Until the police come, let’s just make sure she’s warm and fed for now and we’ll figure out the rest later.” Lewis brought his omega into a hug, the little pup bundle between them. The omegas in the pack had prepared a bottle of milk and some finger food for the pup and Lance was back with clothes, his own pup in his arms. Sebastian got the pup dressed and Lewis was able to take in the little pups featured. Her skin was darker but lighter than his own, she didn’t have too much hair but the hair she did have were black curls on the top of her head and her eyes were a light almost hazel brown. She blinked up at him, seeming to be content lying on Sebastian’s chest. As much as he knew that the pup deserved the be returned to her family, the thought of taking this away from his mate was making his chest physically ache.
Their pack mates seemed to sense that Sebastian was tense, so the omegas worked together and build a nest in the living room for everyone. Sebastian, Lewis and the pup were in the middle with their pack member surrounding them. When the doorbell rang Sebastian whined, clutching the pup to his chest. Lewis kept the omega close, the little pup looking around at everyone in the room with interest even though she has yet to say a word. A police officer was let into the house and Sebastian had the resist the urge to run, bundle the little pup against him and bolt so she didn’t have to leave.
It was a long discussion with the pack and the police. It was decided that first the pup needed to be seen but a doctor, just to make sure she was healthy. The police agreed the Sebastian could go wth the pup, as she has seemed to attach herself to the omega. Lewis watched nervously as his omega left with the pup in his arm, not sure what was going to happen next.

Sebastian returned hours later; the pup still contently snuggled in his arms now fast asleep. The pack were still in the nest, waiting for the pack omega to come back to them with news. Most of the pack were sleep but the ones that were awake straightened up upon seeing Seb return. Sebastian didn’t say anything at first, just climbed back into the nest and curled up with his mate. No one pushed Sebastian for answers, waiting until he was ready to talk to get answers.
“They don’t have any missing children that match her discretion but are putting something out. It looks like she’s healthy, a little under weight for her age but besides that seems pretty healthy. They wanted to put her in a home until they could find her family, but I was able to convince them to let her stay here until then. I couldn’t bare thinking about her being in another home, I wouldn’t be able to sleep unless I knew she was safe for she’s here until they find her family.”
“Okay Seb, we’ll make room her her. We have clothes and everything needed for a pup from the pack, and she can stay for as long as she needs.” Lewis said, pressing a kiss to the side of his head.
“I don’t want her to leave...” Lewis knew this but hearing the words come out of his mate’s mouth just about broke his heart.
“I know sweetheart and we’ll figure it out if the time comes.”

Two months later and there was still no word about the pup’s family. She fit right into the pack like she was born there. It took a couple weeks but before long she was a happy baby who loved playing with the other pups in the pack. Sebastian had taken to calling her Emilia which meant brave in German, and he couldn’t think of anything else more fitting. This little pup was in the wood for who know how long but was still about to trust strangers and be taken to a new home. Sebastian couldn’t think of anyone braver than his little pup. Lewis adorned her too, just as taken with the pup as his mate was. What none of them was prepared for was the knock that came one morning on the door.
Sebastian was in the kitchen with Emilia, Lando, Lance and his pup Poppy preparing breakfast when the knock came. They all jumped at the loud, unexpected noise and panicked for just a moment when Carlos appeared and reassured them that he would get the door. What they weren’t expecting was for Carlos to lead the same police officers from a couple months ago into the kitchen. Sebastian felt his heart stop, bringing Emilia closer to him.
“Lance, can you get Lewis.” The other omega nodded, grabbing his own daughter and running off to find the pack alpha. It only took a few moments before Lewis was returning.
“We wanted to come and tell you that we found out. So, we found her family...” Sebastian could feel tears welling in his eyes, knowing that everything from the last few months was all about to come crashing down. He was going to lose his pup.
“You’re taking her away aren’t you.” Sebastian choked out, throat feeling tight around the words.
“When we found her parents, we found out that she wasn’t in the woods on accident. They never wanted a pup and eventually one day they were done with her and sent her outside, hoping that someone would find her and take her home and they wouldn’t have to deal with her anymore.” Sebastian couldn’t hold it in anymore and started crying. How could someone do this to a pup?
“Please tell me you’re not taking her back to them.” Lewis could fell himself getting angry, especially with how upset it was making his mate.
“No, they’ve both been arrested on multiple charges and are in police custody until further notice. They have also both given up their parental rights to Jane.”
“Jane?”
“Yes, her name is Jane. We came here to see how she is doing, and it seems like she’s already a part of the pack. If you guys have a lawyer, we can start going over the paperwork if you’d like to keep her and make her your pup.” Sebastian’s tears wee now tears of happiness; he could keep his pup after all.
“Yes, please. Lew call now. Go, go.” When Lewis didn’t immediately move, Sebastian pushed him not wanting to wait another moment for the chance to adopt the pup.
It took a couple week and lots of meeting between the pack, the police, social services and lawyers before everything was finalized. Sebastian cried when they officially signed the adoption papers and was able to bring Emilia home with them. The pack was waiting for them, party just starting when the couple returned. Sebastian spent most of the party crying, not believing this beautiful pup was all his and how much the pack has done for the over the last few months, just to make sure their pack alpha and omega were able to bring the pup home as theirs.
“Mama, home?” Emilia said, calling Sebastian mama for the first time made the omega cry even more.
“Yeah baby, this is your home now and forever.”
“Dada here too?”
“Yeah princess, I’m staying too.” That seemed to satisfy her as she snuggled into Sebastian’s arms, content with her newfound family.
