Summary
As the Dauphin of Vale, Jaune has problems. His vassals are in open revolt rather than allow him to take the throne, and he's no warrior king. But he has Pyrrha, Great Khan of the Centaurs, as his ally, and through daring, courage, and ingenuity, they've managed to hold on. Combining Valean ironworking and Centaur strength and mobility, they've created the Centaur Gunnery Corps, highly mobile and devastating artillery, but they're a new element of the social order, and one Jaune doesn't understand very well. Why are they all female Centaur? Why do they call themselves the "Khavya-Jaune?"
And why are they so... unusually affectionate towards him?
These are questions he's sure he'll have to deal with later. Right now, he has a war to win.
