Work Text:

Aesop wasn't meant to participate in any matches today so he would just stay in his room reading some book and enjoying a moment of peace but after seeing that Joseph had some today he couldn't help but to go check on the man before his turns.

At first his relationship with the other wasn't the best, Joseph seemed indifferent even annoyed by the other, by his fastination of the dead, by the comfort of being with the one that wasn't in this world anymore, maybe he saw himself in Aesop and didn't wanted to get too close. But after some time Joseph found himself connected to the embalmer and Aesop didn't seem like he disliked it, small talks would change to long conversations, spending time together whenever they had a chance, sneaking into the others room so others wouldn't see.
At one point Joseph gave him a star stone as a gift for him, a way of confessing his love and adoration for him, Aesop was beyond delighted receiving such a meaningful gift and of course he accepted, he himself finding comfort by being with the hunter.

Aesop walked though the halls of the big manor quietly greeting others as they passed by he went by the survivors rooms before stopping at the hunter side and knocking at the door.
A soft "come in" was heard and Aesop didn't wait any longer and came inside the room.

Joseph was standing before a mirror his cloak gone, he was holding a white shirt getting ready for a match, Aesop went to sit on the bed observing the other man.

"ma chérie" Joseph began "it's so nice to see you" he said while looking at Aesop through the mirror.

Aesop took his mask off and sighed quietly, he didn't say anything just stared at Joseph, admiring his beauty.

A pale skin delicate like an angel, his pretty blue eye and gorgeous blonde hair, the long slim fingers with sharp white nails, Aesop noted that Joseph wore the ring he gave him he couldn't help the small smile that formed on his face.

Of all the costumes Joseph had, hangover was surely Aesop's favorite one, especially since while drunk Joseph found it easier to talk about his brother to Aesop. He wished to understand Joseph more and to help him any way he could.

He watched Joseph put on the white shirt with red wine stains on it and some necklaces around his neck when he was done the hunter wondered what to do next and Aesop got the idea.

"I can brush your hair" Aesop shyly requested taking a brush from the cabinet and standing behind the hunter.

"Thank you, darling" Joseph said as he sat in front of the makeup table.
Aesop stood behind and began brushing the hair he didn't missed how Joseph would sometimes steal a look at him though the mirror the corner of his mouth formed a smile, when he was done he took a piece of his hair and kissed it.

Joseph was almost done he only needed to do his makeup but as soon as he took the pallet he stared at it confused he looked back at Aesop, quietly asking for help.

"Let me do it" Joseph just nodded handing the makeup to Aesop to do the job, he remembered when once on a friendly match Aesop embalmed another survivor in the coffin he did it with such a precision and detail that the older was surprised seeing that Aesop had those type of skills.

Aesop was a bit nervous being so close to his lover but he wouldn't want to miss a chance to look at his pretty face. He could smell the rose perfume and the red wine blended together somehow it didn't made him nauseous but rather he thought of it as pleasant.

When he was done he saw that a satisfied smile was placed on Joseph's face, a quiet way of showing appreciation.

Joseph stood up to grab his Saber and made his way to the door but before going out he turned back to Aesop

"I thought you would give me a good luck kiss" he laughed with a gentle smile.

"Can i?" Aesop asked looking away shyly, not daring to look the other in the eyes.

A small nod coming from the other man said it all and Aesop hesitantly closed the gap between them in a short but sweet kiss, he could feel the others smile on his lips.

"I'll be waiting for you here"
