Chapter Text
It was an average hot, skin melting day in hell for Alejandro…. and Cody.
They were on their way to ‘Satan’'s headquarters, since they had finally gotten a job after 3 months of doing nothing but playing dominos and Uno with the smaller male. When you actually get the chance to play games with him and not ignore his existence, he isn’t as bad as you’d think he is.
…. At least that’s what Alejandro thought.
Yeah, he could be a bit irritating at times with his constant bickering and questions... And his weird obsession with candy.
But Cody is still his friend, even if he looks like a bendy straw in a lemonade next to a metal straw in a soda. (aka, he looks pathetic as FUCK.)
“You good man?” Cody asks, snapping a finger in Alejandro's face. “You spaced out for a good… 10 minutes.”
“Oh, my apologies mi amigo.” He answers back, expression soft.
“Alright, cause we’re like… here.” Cody points ahead of them towards a double doored building. It was a shiny obsidian with a dark red pattern engraved into the door frame, making it look sharp and crisp. Cody takes his pointed finger and tightens it into a (small) fist, lightly banging on the door, but still hard enough to hear.
After a few seconds, the door opens with a swift movement.
And there’s the boss in all of his glory. Chris Mclean. The man of death and demise himself.
“Hello my two best workers!... Whose names I don't care about enough to remember…” Chris says in a muffled voice, but then turns towards them with a wide and very unwelcoming grin.
He motions them to come inside the big space, closing the door behind them with a big thud.
The room is a dark red tone, with black shelves and cabinets along the walls. They all hold something, like a jar of eyes or a My Little Pony princess Celestia figure. That must be Chefs…
The devils go and sit down in the chairs set in front of a long, abnormally large desk. “Now, I've asked you two to come here for a reason.” Chris sighs.
“There are these two people down on Earth that… need to be looked over.” Mclean says as he flips through folders on his desk. How does he keep it so neat and clean? Alejandro wonders. “They’re both 17, just like you two… I think.” He says as he looks over at cody. “Anyway, I need you guys to keep an eye out for these two.”
He hands the two devils the folders of the teens.
“For you… twig, we have a guy named Trent.” Chris says handing Cody a folder with a large red stamp on it. He ignores the nickname given to him, and just accepts the papers handed to him.
“For you, you get… Hold on.-- ” He says as he flips through the other papers, and then grabs a folder and places it directly in front of Alejandro. “-- Noah!” Chris exclaims.
“You two will be watching over your victims. But, obviously, you will need some human disguises!” Chris says, looking at them with a smug grin as he motions for them to stand up. “Lucky for you guys, I already have them picked out.” He snickers as he runs and grabs two outfits, forcefully shoving them into the two devils hands.
Chris quickly shoos them out the door with their folders and fresh outfits in their hands, slamming the door shut.
“..That was a quick conversation.” Alejandro scoffs.
“... I guess we should get changed? Here, come to my place.” Cody says, grabbing Alejandro's hand and starting to walk away from the building. We have wings, obviously, but walking is good exercise! And in his little gangly form, he really needs it.
Alejandro accepts his hand, and continues to walk beside him and keep his pace (which was surprisingly fast).

“So, how do I look?” Cody asks, doing some corny pose in the mirror as he looks behind him at Alejandro. “.. You don’t look half bad.” He answers back to the smaller devil, ruffling his hair just behind his abnormally tall horns.
“That’s a lot coming from you, bro.” He says with a giggle, grinning as he tightens the fabric around his waist with a leather belt. The outfit was casual, but still classy. It was a plain deep red shirt, some fiery red stars around the collar to make it stick out. The jeans were navy blue and baggy, which is why Cody needed a black leather belt (specifically with a silver belt) to keep them up. Just to add on more, he was given some black running shoes and black fingerless gloves.
He suddenly looks over at Alejandro. “You should probably get ready too, since we gotta, like, book it in an hour.”
“Mierda-” He answers back, grabbing his own pile of clothes as he runs to the other room.
“.. Damn he’s fast.” Cody whispers to himself.
