Holly woke up in the dead of night to find her scroll buzzing over and over. It was Fuchsia. Apparently- her mom had kicked her out. Oh. Holly hurriedly sat up. Her palisman, Pyralis, was a bit upset at Holly waking her up.
“Oh, sorry, Pyra- but we gotta go-“ Holly said, quickly changing out of her clothes but falling over and it made a LOUD ‘Thud’. Uh oh.
The expected knock at her door came. It was her Dad.
“Uhh, you okay in there, Sprout?” He asked, concerned.
“Uhh- Yeah! Yeah, everything’s fine!” She said. She was a bad liar.
“Aren’t you supposed to be asleep?” He asked. Holly opened the door. Dad was still in his pajamas, AKA space pants Uncle Gus got for him and a wolf shirt he made.
“Uh.. no?” She said with a skeptical tone.
Dad sighed. “I should’ve known it’d happen at some point. You’re trying to sneak out, aren’t you?” He said.
Holly just gave up. She nodded, embarrassed.
“Where are you headed?” He asked. Waffles, his palisman, chirped ahead of him, mimicking the way he crossed his arms. She was in her usual spot. His hair.
“Fuchsia’s house.” She said.
“Why?”
“Her mom kicked her out for dating me.” She said. He looked disturbed.
“I- What? Boscha? She WHAT- Okay, okay. Uhm. How about you go get her, and I’ll wake you your Mother? You know she’s the best comforter. In both ways.” He said. Holly nodded.

When Holly came back with a very sad Fuchsia, she saw Mom and Dad in the kitchen.
Mom was obviously still half asleep, as she was when she was forced to wake up, and it was obvious because while Dad was making tea (presumably for her or Fuchsia), she had her arms around Dad’s waist from behind and her head buried in his back.
Ah, her parents.
Anyways, Dad turned around, Mom coming along with him, and he stood up straight. Mom, obviously begrudgingly, took her arms off from around his waist and readjusted her glasses.
“Fuchsia! Hello. Uhm. It’s nice to see you. Wish it was under different circumstances, but uh, yeah.” Dad said. Fuchsia nodded.
Holly sighed. “Okay. I’m going to go find Fuchsia some clothes. Be right back.” She said.
“Hi Mrs Park. Mr Park.” Fuchsia said.
“Please, just call me Hunter.” Hunter said. Willow stretched.
“You can call me Willow. I knew your Mom when we were younger.” She said. Hunter huffed and crossed his arms.
“Yeah. ‘Knew her.’” He said. Willow laughed softly.
“Hon, it was a long time ago.” She said.
“But she still did it.” He said, handing Fuchsia her tea. Fuchsia took a sip and started it took a few moments for her to realize how hot it was. Hunter winced.
“Sorry! I should’ve told you.” He said. He sighed.

When Holly came back with clothes for Fuchsia, she saw her parents and Fuchsia on the couch. She went around to see what they were looking at. Baby photos. Holly, having taken after her Dad, blushed profusely.
“Mom! Dad! Why’re you showing her that-“ She said. Fuchsia giggled behind her hand.
“Aw, Sprout, but you were so cute!” Dad said. Mom laughed.
The current photo they were on was one of a baby Holly, sleeping in a little bee costume with Moms palisman, Clover, next to her. She just KNEW Mom picked that one out.
Holly looked up and saw Pyralis and Fuchsias palisman, Shelley, napping together. Above them were Clover and Waffles. As Holly found herself zoning out, she heard the faint ‘awe’s and giggles from her parents and girlfriend.
She loved her life.
