A student enters the League's interview room before challenging Paldea's Elite Four. They are visibly nervous. Their legs shake with anxiety and sweat flows down their face like a miniature waterfall. They notice a green-haired androgynous figure sitting in a chair that doesn't look like it fits them. They wore black cat-eye glasses that made them appear stern. Next to the person's desk is a rotund, brown, and large amphibious looking Pokemon who looks ecstatic to see you. The creature waddles up to you begging you to pet it. The green haired androgynous figure stands up with a huge grin on their face, giving the trainer permission to pet the dopey looking Pokemon.
The nervous trainer starts rubbing the head and belly of the Mud Fish Pokémon and their anxiety melts away almost instantly.
The androgynous figure introduces themselves as Rika and introduces Clodsire who is enjoying all the attention he is receiving. Rika offers to help the trainer up as Clodsire is completely enjoying himself. The trainer sits in their seat in front of Rika's desk. Clodsire plops right down next to them and the trainer starts petting him once again. Clodsire's presence and squishy exterior provides such relaxation that the trainer immediately feels at ease. Rika's relaxed, but professional nature also makes the trainer settle in. Rika smiles fondly at the trainer and Clodsire then begins their assessment. The trainer passes with flying colors, thanks to Clodsire.
Rika brings Clodsire to a children's hospital. He waddles happily through the corridors with Rika walking right beside him. Clodsire bumps his head to open the door to the play room where the patients gather to socialize and to heal. His presence is immediately known and children begin to come up to him to ride on his back. Clodsire loves the attention and kids so he doesn't complain. Some children try to read to him. He may have no idea what is being said to him, but he's just happy living in the moment. Rika enters the room, as well. They are surprised to see so many kids cuddling with Clodsire. He rolls on his back and lets the kids rub his belly. His back rotund feet twitch on delight. Rika kneels down to the children's level and tells them cool facts about Clodsire and ground types in general. Due to Rika's natural affinity of kids, they don't mind if some try to get very close to them, as well. Rika looks fondly at Clodsire and sheds a few tears. There really isn't any other Pokémon as innocent and loving as him.
