Work Text:
Today was April Fool's.
Raccoon decided that joining in on the fun and mischief wouldn't be too bad. But she couldn't do it alone. He'd have to do it with someone he knew and trusted.
And then it hit her, there was one person that fit all of the criteria. And they'd be perfect for the plan she concocted as well! But first, Raccoon would need to inform them of the plan.
“Hello?” a voice rang out.
Raccoon quickly responded, “Pris! Do you want to join me with my April Fool's joke?”
“Say no more, count me in!” was Pris’ enthusiastic answer.
With their consent, she quickly debriefed them on her plan. It wouldn't be anything super elaborate, but it'd get a kick out of them and their friends.

“Hey guys!” Raccoon greeted as he and Pris made their way into the party avenue.
“RACCOON! IT'S GOOD TO SEE YOU!” one of his friends exclaimed. Soon there was a chorus of greetings as others heard the excited greeting.
Pris stood at the side, watching with satisfaction and pride as their friend received a worm, they laughed a little at their own joke, welcome. Things weren't exactly going as planned but that could come in later, what mattered right now was that they and Raccoon were enjoying themselves.
“Wait, guys!” Everyone turned to look towards the source of the shouting which turned out to be from one Ako. “Look at Pris and Raccoon's outfits! They're PlumBerrii!”
A chorus of “whoa”s and “wow”s soon filled the area as everyone began taking in their costumes. It was like Ako said, Pris was dressed as a plum while Raccoon was a blueberry, a very blue berry if you would, for their namesakes. And as the party went on, they made sure to play their part. Staying close to each other, teasing their friends, all good stuff that wasn't too strange from their normal behavior.
Once the party began dying down as people left, Pris found themselves walking to the nearby playground with Raccoon.
“That sure was fun, wasn't it?” they said while taking a seat on the swings and lightly swaying.
Raccoon smiled, “Yeah, it sure was. We should do something like this in the future.”
“Wouldn't that get repetitive?” Pris raised an eyebrow.
He shook his head, “No, not this specific joke. Just something fun and enjoyable, we could even just stand aside and watch everyone else. I certainly wouldn't mind that.”
“I guess that's true,” they hummed. “The group's definitely chaotic enough with or without us participating.”
Raccoon nodded and Pris felt a sense of melancholy wash over them. It was getting late now, they'd have to say their goodbyes soon enough. They know that they'll see her again but parting always felt so sad.
“..well, this is goodbye for now. See you later, Racc,” Pris spoke as they got up from the swing.
She hummed in response, “Yep, see you later! Wanna hang out at that cafe later this week? Just make sure to order something other than water this time.”
Pris groaned, they would never live that down would they?
