Work Text:

As Billy was grabbing books from his locker to put into his backpack, Alex and Tod walked up to him.
“Hey Billy?” Alex started.
“Hmm? Oh, hi Alex. Hi Tod.” Billy responded, turning to the two boys
“Do you know Clear Rivers?” Tod asked
“I think so? She's in our French class…right?” Billy asked
“Yes. So she's planning a get-together tomorrow and was interested to see if you'd come.” Alex said, motioning for the trio to start moving to the exit.
Billy closed his locker, and the three continued.
“What time would the party be starting at?” Billy asked
“It'd start at 8:30 and go until around midnight.” Tod answered. Billy thought for a moment before responding,
“Sure, I'd just need her address.”
“Okay, she wrote it down earlier for you.” Alex said as he rummaged around his pocket. He finally pulled a folded note out and handed it to Billy.
“Thanks. I'll see you guys tomorrow.” Billy said before turning onto his path home.
“Bye Billy,” Alex called after him.
“See ya tomorrow!” Shouted Tod.

Billy couldn't say that he was excited about the party. But he also couldn't say he didn't like the thought of getting out of the house. Alex and him were somewhat friends. It'd be nice to be able to add a new contact to his list.

Clear didn't live as far as he thought she did. So he walked. He got there at 9:10-ish, Alex and Tod were outside of the house waiting for him. They stood up straight as Billy approached them.
“Hey Billy,” Alex said as he stepped towards the door.
“Hi,” was all Billy could muster out before Tod lightly gripped Billy’s jersey and pulled him to the door.
They went inside and searched for Clear. They found her talking to Terry, who was holding Carter's hand. Carter seemed disconnected from the conversation, scoping the room for something. He grimaced and looked back at his girlfriend. Tod and Alex practically pulled Billy over to the others while he protested.
“Do you think Ms. Lewton and Mr. Murnau are together?” They overheard Terry ask
“I wouldn’t be surprised if they fuck while speaking french.” Carter said. Terry playfully slapped him on the belly as she and Clear giggled at his remark. Alex and Tod finally got Billy by the others and added themselves to the conversation.
“Oh, Ms. Lewton. Your breasts look quite lovely on this fine afternoon,” Tod added in a terrible french accent. He punctuated it with a hearty french laugh as the others busted up laughing. Even Billy laughed at the stupid joke. That seemed to catch Carter's attention, he had stopped laughing and just stared at Billy.
Once they were all done making their own dialect for such a scene, and done laughing at it, they talked about the trip to Paris that they’d be leaving for in a few weeks. Mainly about how stupid the school was for believing that taking students to another country was a good idea. Everyone had plans to goof off eventually, even Clear. She heard of a bookstore where she planned on buying some adult books that no one could confiscate because they didn’t know what the title meant. Terry got close to Carter and said that it was such a shame that rooming wasn’t co-ed. Winking at him before turning back to the group.
Carter pulled his flask out and took a swig. Before he put it away, he silently offered it to Billy. Nobody had noticed as the two had taken backseat roles in the conversation. Billy was skeptical of Carter's intentions, so he was very cautious as he grabbed it. Their fingers brushed and Billy’s breath hitched. He blushed as he quickly brought the flask to his face to try to hide it. He threw his head back before quickly shoving the flask back to Carter, who he once again brushed his fingers against. Out of sheer embarrassment, he quickly walked away to a different room. Billy wasn’t paying enough attention, Carter had also blushed. Billy also didn’t see how Carter's pupils dilated at the sight of the other throwing his head back. Thankfully he wasn’t there to see how Carter poked his tongue in the entrance of the flask before taking another swig.

Billy stood in the corner of a room he assumed was the house's living room. He just needed to cool off for a bit before facing the group again. He watched people come and go, bashing himself for letting his embarrassment drive him away from his friends.

After maybe 15 minutes, Billy finally started on the path back to the group. He walked back into the room he’d been dragged into earlier. He started to panic, they weren’t there anymore.

He wandered around the house in a hurry to find Alex and Tod. Nobody else looked familiar, the room started to feel smaller, it was getting harder to breathe. Billy walked into the kitchen, he didn’t see Alex or Tod. But he did see Carter, looking out of a window above the sink. Carter was the last person Billy wanted to see. But he had no choice.

Billy approached Carter. He tapped Carter on the shoulder. When Carter turned to Billy, his face lit up, a dumb smile swept across him and the stench of alcohol made Billy cringe.
“Have you seen Alex and Tod anywhere?” Billy asked. Carter turned his eye to the floor with a pondering look on his face. Without saying anything, Carter grabbed Billy’s hand and started guiding him through the house. Billy wasn't sure why he was trusting that Carter knew where Alex and Tod were. But, he had no other options. So being dragged by a drunk Carter was his best shot right now.

Carter opened a door to the backyard and pulled Billy with him. They walked until they were in the middle of the backyard. Confused, Billy neglected to drop Carter's hand as he scoped the area around them for his friends. “Are you sure you saw them out here?” Billy asked, turning to Carter. He could only nod, pointing to a window on the second floor of Clears home. Billy looked up. And to his shock, there they were, making out in front of a window.

Billy didn’t realize he was staring when Carter squeezed his hand, causing Billy to abruptly turn to the other. Carter's other hand moved to Billys waist, only making the blush on both of their faces burn hotter. Before Billy could say anything, Carter pulled him closer until their stomachs touched. All Billy could respond with was a squeak. Carter leaned in and firmly pressed his lips to Billys.

Tod tilted his head back and panted as Alex peppered his neck with kisses. When he opened his eyes, something stuck out in the backyard. He nudged Alex to get his attention. When Alex looked up, he looked outside. His grip on Tod's hips only tightened as he chuckled at the sight in front of him.
“Are Billy and Carter really kissing, or am I dreaming?” Tod asked.
“They are. Never thought that would happen.” Alex responded. He grabbed his lover's chin and pulled his attention back to himself. “Now shut up.” He said before launching another passionate kiss with Tod.

Billy closed his eyes and pressed back against Carter. Billy wrapped his arms around Carter's neck as the others' hands dragged up and down his sides.
Carter pulled back, settling his hands on Billys hips.
“Tell Terry and I'll have to kill you.” He said, digging his nails into Billy's jersey. All Billy could respond with was a whine and by pulling Carter into another kiss. This one was bolder, tongues slipped into each other's mouths, hands grabbed, and noises weren't stifled.
This time, Billy ended the kiss. Finally realizing what he was doing. He ripped himself away from Carter, looked at him terrified, and bolted. Carter stood there dumbfounded.

Billy didn’t bother to say bye to the others, he just ran. He ran straight home and rushed to his room before his parents could ask him about the party. He threw himself into his bed, pulling his hat off and using it to muffle his screams of self disgust.
