It was late at night when Alex came back from a case that had dragged on for hours. Despite the exhaustion, she knew with the adrenaline still in her system there was no way she’d be able to sleep right away.
She hung her coat and walked to the kitchen, grabbing the closest bottle of whisky on the counter. She sat down on the couch, filling up her glass and downing it staring ahead to the day she had occupied her thoughts as the new day was already there.
She looked at the clock, it was three in the morning, with that in mind she filled up her glass again, but before she could drink it a hand stopped her.
It was Audrey, barely awake but enough to hold on to the frown she had. Without a word, Audrey moved beside Alex on the couch, placing the glass on the table.
Again, no words were spoken, Audrey wrapped her arms around Alex, despite the heavy silence Alex felt safe in her embrace and whispered in her ear.
“You’re too sweet for me.”

The alarm rang through the bedroom, Foster rushed to turn it off so as to not wake Elle up. She slipped out of bed and started getting ready. She knew three am was a ridiculous time to wake up, but she had a morning shoot. After dressing up she went downstairs to get some coffee and breakfast ready. As she opened the fridge, she noticed a brown bag with her name on it. Her curiosity getting the best of her, she opened it only to find a full lunch packed and a sweet note from her lover.
She smiled to herself as she closed it back up, turning back to her coffee and pouring herself a cup. She walked back upstairs, her coffee in hand, and sat on the bed. She drank her coffee as she admired her lover peacefully sleeping.
She set her cup on the nightstand and reached for her lover’s cheek pressing a kiss to her forehead and whispering to her.
“You’re too sweet for me, you know that, I love you so much…”
