Work Text:
“Hyung, you’re so mean.” Chovy pouts Faker stares at him.
“What do you mean?” He tilts his head.
“You know what I mean.” Chovy sighs.
“But do I?” The edge of his lips going up wards a little signaling to Chovy that he did in fact know.
“Yeah, you do.” He pouts again.
“Can’t you just tell me?” Faker says as he gently places his hands on Chovys face, rubbing his thumb against his cheeks.
“But it’s embarrassing.” Chovy shoves his head in the nook of faker's shoulders.
“Oh well then.” Fakers' hands leave Chovys face so he can leave the bathroom.
“Ah! Hyung wait. I’m sorry.” He pouts again.
“Will you tell me then?” Faker asks cheekily, earning a little nod.
“Hyung, was just. You’re so adorable, but none of it was towards me.” Chovy starts grabbing for fakers' hand to put back on his cheek. “You only talked about BDD, and smiled at him, and made him smile, and you talked to Hena, and I don’t know. You just didn’t talk to me.”
“But we did talk, didn’t we? When we played rock, paper, scissors, and we both chose paper wasn’t that so cute?” He smiles at him. “And we got to stare at each other during the game. What’s the problem with that?” He chuckles a bit.
“But I wanted to stare at you longer. And hold your hand when we both chose paper.” Chovy stares straight into his eyes.
“Isn’t that what we’re doing now?”
“Yea. It’s nice.” Chovy smiles. “But can we hug?” Faker nods and puts his arms out so Chovy can hug him. “Hyungs so nice. And cute. And soft.” Chovy says nuzzling his head in between Faker's shoulders and neck. “Hyung smells nice too.”
“Haha. Thank you, jihoon-ah.” Faker says as he slowly pats Chovys back in circles.
*knock knock*
“Anyone in there?” It was showmaker.
“Yeah! go away.” Chovy says aggressively.
“Be nice.” Faker hits him.
“Ouch.” Chovy exaggerates pretending to be hurt.
“Let’s go.” Faker signals to him. He unlocks the door and showmaker gets a little red.
“Did I interrupt something.” He asks as his finger points at both of them.
“No. He’s just being a big baby.” Faker points at Chovy. “And everything is clean I promise.” He says as they walk away.
Showmaker watches at both of them leave he hears a “hyung why’d you say that! What if he thinks we actually did something in there?” And fakers laugh.
It’s no secret that they’re a thing. Almost everyone in LCK knows the story. How Chovy would just stare and stare and stare and stare and honestly stare for so long that no one understood how faker didn’t see it. But Chovy didn’t have the balls to ask him out yet because he was scared of how it’d affect his Wangho hyung. Of course, wangho had been over him since a long time ago and continued to tell Chovy it was okay for him and that it didn’t matter because it really didn’t. Plus, peanut was starting to get really annoyed at both of them. Because after Asian games was when faker realized Chovy was kinda (really) cute and wouldn’t stop talking about him to peanut. And being at both ends of the stick peanut had had enough and shoved both of them in a closet, told oner to hold the door shut until he said to let go, and just left. He came back an hour later, oner still holding the door, sighing he waved oner away.
“If I open the door, will I see anything I don’t want to see?” Peanut asks.
“No.”
“Okay then are you guys going to go on a date anytime soon?”
“Yeah.”
“Good because I’m sick of both of you guys.” He opens the door and hits both of them. “That’s what you get for annoying me.”
Faker just smiles and mouths a thank you.
They did in fact go on a date a few weeks later. And once again peanut got the short end of the stick.
For the date, Chovy took faker to a café with cats and a mini library. There were about 15 cats in the café, a mixture of Bombay, maine coone, Abyssinians, and some tuxedos. The moment they stepped in all the cats went straight to faker. It was quite funny to see the workers panic watching faker get swamped by cats leaving no room to walk. Faker apologized to them and went on his knees to play with one of the Bombays and pet the ones that come around him. Chovy joins him on the ground doing the same thing as faker. He pets the cats and watch as one slowly crawls up into his lap.
“Jihoonie” Chovy looks up still petting the cat. “When did you start like me?”
“Hmmmmm, when you went up in your navy-blue suit to receive the award. It may have been earlier though because I really thought that I was confused and only wanted to see you as an older brother. But you’re just so cute when you talk about everything.” He smiles at faker. “What about you hyung? When did you start liking me?” His smile widening more.
“After Asian games.” He answered.
“Nothing else? Like why you started to like me?” Chovy wanted more. To hear more. To learn more. To understand how he was able to win over faker when he really didn’t try to.
“I liked your company. When we talked or just hung out you never tried to force anything but just sat there. You’d say hi and just go on your phone. You’d eat next to me and ask about the book I was reading and would question a lot of things. I liked that part it was fun getting to talk about the books I read because they’re pretty boring to most people. And I thought you’d think that too, but you were so engaged with my knowledge for the books and just whatever you wanted to know. And your smile. I really liked it when you smiled. And I hated it when you didn’t smile.” Faker tells him.
“Sanghyeok hyung. You’re so adorable.” Chovy says with his head in his palms trying to hide the redness coming up.
“I actually think you’re the cute on in the relationship though?” He smiles at Chovy “Also.” He starts and takes his hands away from his face to hold. “Can’t you just call me hyung or hyeokie-hyung? I feel like sanghyeok-hyung sounds so formal.”
“Yea. Okay.” Earning an eager nod.
“Okay” faker smiles back at him.
