Hello to whoever is reading, my name is Thomas Walker. I work for the Magnus Institution, London, an organisation dedicated to academic research and to the esoteric and the paranormal. The head of the institute, Mr Ellis Butchered, has employed me to replace the previous head archivist Jonathan Sims who has recently passed away.
Jonathan as of his passing, has left me a multitude of different resources on recordings to fail through he finished many years ago and this project, his later life work, has been left for nearly three years as he left it unfinished in 2021. This has left me with many dead things and many archived cases. Mr. Burchard has employed me to take over Sim’s place unfailing through the remaining cases.
The first archived statement I'm going to transcribe is recorded by Charlie- second name, unknown, first given on 1st January 2024.
Statement begins.
“I- I don't know what I saw. it was a dark night in 2019 I think it was April maybe May. All I remember is that I was walking down a road in Edinburgh, I can't remember what one until I stopped halfway down an alleyway. I saw a faint glow coming from it. off them, it? him? It was hovering off of the ground. It was 9, 10 feet tall I couldn't place my finger on it, but he was tall. Really tall. I looked up at him and what I saw will stay with me forever. staring back at me was what seemed like a million different and individual eyes blinking back.
When I snapped out of the daze the person had put me in I turned on my heel and ran as fast as I could. After that, whether walking through the streets or on my phone and in books, newspapers or even street signs, I saw eyes and wings, everywhere, it was like someone was trying to send me a message; a terrifying, unbelievable message. Given, for the books and phone, I was studying a biology degree focused on human biology, but they were everywhere.
This torment went on for I think a year before I decided to do some research on what I had seen. I reached out to Reddit, hoping they would provide some help. r/supernaturalsights, I think it was. Turns out there were hundreds who had seen the person, or thing, I saw. They describe them as a 10-foot twisted-looking Angel. Pure white wings, eyes covering them as well as all over their body and a golden glow emitting from them. It was terrifying how many people had similar experiences.”
Charlie helpfully provided a picture of one of the people he saw on Reddit who posted their experiences with what sounds to be a supposed angel sighting.

“I got in contact with the people and arranged to meet and discuss what we saw. We sat down and talked about our similar experiences with the winged man, and we could not come to answer what it was which is why I’m here I guess. I don’t know what I’m expecting from this. Help, I think. Just anything.”

At the time of recording, there have been no leads in our investigations of ‘The Winged Man’. The subreddit provided does show a wider knowledge of the paranormal than I originally thought the world had and does prove Charlie’s experience (if only slightly).
We have dug deeper, finding that there wasn’t just one Reddit submission, but rather hundreds. It feels like, just as Charlie said “A terrifying, unbelievable message” is trying to be sent.
