“Is there anything you regret?”
“Oh wow, already asking such deep and thought provoking questions?” Alexis laughed. “But to answer your question, No and if I could I would do it all again. I feel as if i’m destined to follow the same path and follow the same story.” He said proudly. “Would that be with more or less heartbreak?” Phil laughed. “Oh definitely less but where would I be without those experiences. Everyone jokes about how
our music is amazing after I experience some form of heartbreak.” Alexis laughs.
The room bursts out laughing as well, the band members of Caliheart try to calm down. “Yes definitely less, I couldn’t survive knowing Alex was heartbroken. But it’s definitely true our songs about heartbreak are streamed the most.” Cellbit chimes in. “I remember walking into the studio at like 7 in the morning and just seeing Alex bent over her song book writing and I asked how long they’ve been there, only to be met with a blank stare.” Ranboo chuckled. “Or that time, we were all recording our parts for Red, he just blurts out that he’s such a good songwriter and starts sobbing. Cellbit and Roier had to reassure him that everything was alright. I literally just walked in.” Jaiden chimes in. Phil chuckles as Alex tries to defend himself against his own band mates.
“Now, I remember after the 2000 tour, there was major public backlash and controversy surrounding you all. What was that like and how was feeling that the world turned their back on you?” Phil asked cautiously. “It was fucking awful, I felt I was to blame for most of that. I felt betrayed and hurt. I felt I need to prove myself to show that those rumors were false. We had just left Federation Records, we as Caliheart didn’t not have a say on how we would react to all of this. It gave me and Ranboo the opportunity and motivation to make this a chance for everyone to see our side. Ranboo and I started to work a day after our New Year’s party. We bounced off each other and eventually we got Reputation. That was our last album with Fed. Records.” Alex replied
“Was there ANY repercussions for you all leaving Federation Records?”
“Unfortunately there was. We can’t get into much details but all we know is that our albums are owned by the label. We signed with our current label, KarmaLand Records. We are also working very hard for this upcoming album. I can guarantee we are putting everything into this for our fans” Jaiden exclaimed.
“Do you have a name for this upcoming album or would you like to surprise the fans?”
“Yes! The name of the album is…Lover. Which is very poetic if you ask me and very fitting in the context.” Ranboo cheered. “What’s the context, sorry” Phil chucked nervously. “We named it Lover for many reasons. The main one is to do a complete 180 of our last album. This is going to a be an album with 1980’s influenced sound combining pop rock and electropop. Another reason for the album is to honor our own, past or present.” Alexis smiled. “It’s speculated that it’s about Luzu and while others speculate it’s about another love. You can confirm or deny. It’s all up to you, mate.”
“Well, more or less, yes. Is this album about Luzu, yes. Another love, also yes. I feel as if I can finally talk about unless I’m allowed to say anything?” Alex replied. “Uh yeah, So um the reason we decided on Lover is that is because of our relationship.” Cellbit points to himself and Alexis. “With Roier as well in our relationship. Luzu is very much aware of my relationship with the other two. Funny story, completely not sure how the media didn’t know about my relationship with Cellbit and Roier for the longest time. Nobody knew until this interview, it actually hilarious.” Alexis laughed.
“We’ll thank you for this amazing opportunity to chatting with you guys. Can’t wait for Lover.” Phil concluded. The interview was over but before that Phil decided to chat with his friends before leaving. “Again thank you guys for putting up with interview. You guys did an amazing job! We’re still on the play date with the kids? Tallulah has been inching to play with her cousins.” Phil asks. “Yeah, we definitely are. Tilin and Bobby haven’t stopped asking on when Chayanne was coming to play. Am I going to host or are you, Mr. Craft?.” Alexis joked. “Big Q, I’m happy to host. See you all there, next week and congrats!” Phil said as getting his stuff. Later, Caliheart and Phil are saying their goodbyes. Hopefully all goes well with their endeavors and hopefully they don’t get slandered.
