Nose Bleeds

Summary:

I rewrote the scene where Ais finds Bell with mind down in the dungeon with a slightly comical twist

Work Text:

Bell woke up with a terrible headache. His vision was blurry, but he could vaguely make out the shape of a woman looking over him and fingers running through his hair.

Mother?" He asked.

"I'm not your mother." Ais answered frustrated. Why did he keep asking that?

He snuggled into his pillow and blinked his eyes a few more times. Then he saw it, He was lying on Ais Wallenstein's lap. He started to get up and run, but his legs felt weak. He felt his head get light. He felt his heart pump out of his chest. He felt his nose begin to bleed. He vaguely heard Ais say something before everything turned black.

"Not again." The girl commented, concerned as the boy fell back into her lap for the 5th time.

He had bled quite a lot. She didn't even know that noses had that much blood. If her battle dress hadn't already been ruined from her adventure in the dungeon, it definitely was now. It looked as if she had dove into a pool of blood. She brushed a blood matted stray hair from his face and then put an arm under his leg and head and picked him up.

"Don't worry, I will get you help." She told the unconscious boy before calling her Tempest.

Bleeding and repeated fainting was not mind down. This must be something worse, Ais thought. She ran him all the way back to the surface. She knew she could leave him with the guild, and they would have someone take care of him. She was so tired from her trip in the dungeon, too. She nearly handed him off to someone until she took another look at his face. It was so...precious even with all that blood on it. She couldn't risk some poorly trained guild medic helping the boy, so she ran all the way to the only person she could trust with such a dire situation, Airmid. She ran into the Dian Cehct familia hospital and ran to the back. If this was anyone other than a Loki familia executive, she likely would have been stopped, but being one of the strongest familias had its perks Ais laid the boy on the table and called for Airmid, who shortly arrived.

"What happened?" The healer asked, seeing a large amount of blood but no clear wound. Ais explained the situation, and to her horror, Airmid giggled. Airmid had tried to hold it back, but the situation was just too ridiculous. Ais frowned at the healer. How could she act like this in such a desperate situation? Airmid took a second and collected herself.

"I think he will be okay as long as his head isn't near your thighs the next time he wakes up." Ais's frown grew deeper, surprising Airmid who had never seen the girl act this way.

"I could give him some blood if he doesn't improve soon, but I think he will be fine."

"Thank you. Is it okay if I wait here for him?" Airmid nodded and went back to her business. It would be about 20 minutes before he woke up again.

"I would like to apolo..." Was all Ais could get out before the timid bunny ran.

Ais paid the bill and made her way home. She later found that the giggles from Airmid were nothing compared to the laugh Riviera had after learning the story. Ais hated it, but it was better than Lefiya's strange fit. She thought the Amazon Twins were the best about it as they merely said something about her having a new "boy friend." She wasn't really sure she considered Bell a friend yet, but she wasn't against the idea. When his head was in her lap, she felt so calm. It was that moment she promised herself that she would practice lap pillows until she could do it without making the poor boy bleed.
