Chapter Text
The three of them woke up in the middle of nowhere. Kronos was laughing uncontrollably. Stella Jackson jumped to her feet, rushed over and pointed her knife at his throat where Luke was going to stab himself moments earlier before Kronos took over his body again. Thalia got up and helped Nico to his feet.
“Where are we?” She demanded. But Kronos just continued laughing. Nico looked at Stella. She gave him a panicked look before pressing the knife tighter to his neck.
“Take us back!” She growled.
“It worked. I did it.” Kronos continued to laugh uncontrollably. The ocean started to rage behind her.
“Stella calm down.” Thalia begged.
“It’s not me.” Stella told her.
Nico gasped. Out of the ocean came Poseidon. But he wasn’t wearing what Stella remembered him to wear. Instead he looked ancient.
“What have you done?” She growled again. From the sky, a cloud came down. Zeus stared at the scene.
“Welcome to the ancient time, demigods.” Kronos said.
“You are lying. I will cut you open…”
“Halt.” Zeus voice bellowed. Stella stopped her movement.
“Explain yourself.”
“Oh dear son.” Kronos laughed like a psycho. “Meet heroes of the future.”
Nico twisted. Out of the ground, Hades rose.
“Thalia, daughter of Zeus. Stella daughter of Poseidon. Nico, Son of Hades. Born in about 4 thousands of years.”
“You are lying.” Stella hissed.
“Quiet.” Poseidon said calmly.
“He is not lying.” Zeus said. I can feel your power.” He looked at Thalia. “You are a hunter of Artemis.”
“In the future.” Kronos chuckled.
“May I stab him now?” Stella asked.
“We need him to get home.” Nico said quietly.
“I managed time travel.” Kronos looked at his sons. “Time belongs to me now.”
“Kill him.” Zeus said. Stella didn’t hesitate. She shoved her knife into his throat.
“Thank you, Stella.” Luke’s voice would haunt her for the rest of eternity.
A trident was glowing over her head just as it did when she was claimed as a twelve years old. She missed Percy.
“You claimed her?” Zeus asked and turned to Poseidon in disbelief.
“Well she is undoubtedly mine.” Poseidon shrugged. Stella got the feeling he did it just to spite Zeus. Hades mimicked him and claimed Nico. Zeus rolled his eyes and glared at his brothers. “That was irresponsible.”
“Or we take responsibility for our children.” Hades said and snickered. So did Poseidon. Zeus rolled his eyes. Thalia gave Stella a panicked look.
“Besides, this world can be dangerous. I don’t want my daughter walking around unclaimed. It would be inappropriate.”Poseidon said and rested a hand on Stella’s shoulder.
“I am also dangerous. Just to put it out there.” Stella said. Poseidon chuckled. Zeus grunted and claimed Thalia. “We will call for a meeting about this.”
“Tomorrow. After sunrise.” Poseidon agreed.
“Am I welcome at it or..”
“You are coming to.” Zeus snapped at Hades. Then he disappeared and took Thalia with him. Hades did the same with Nico.
Suddenly Stella was before her father’s throne in the ocean. He took his seat and stared at her.
“Thank you for not killing us the first thing you did.” She said. Poseidon’s lips tugged upward a little.
“You are strong.” He stated.
“I’m a demigod.” Stella shrugged and filled the silence. “Tho I’ve never thought myself strong, I’m just me really.”
“You seem humble.”
“I try. Mom raised me to be humble, I guess I have her to thank for it.” Stella smiled sadly and thought of her mother. If she really were in the ancient times, she’d lost everything. She hoped things went as well for Thalia and Nico as it hopefully went for her.
“And your mother must have been a great beauty.” Poseidon twirled water around his fingers.
“Well, considering I’m standing here, I hope you will think so.” Stella smiled lightly.
Poseidon laughed again. “I think I like you. And your mother must be. A beautiful daughter like you must come from a beautiful mother.”
“Thanks.”
“You will stay here tonight. Your faith will be declared tomorrow. I can calm you with that I will vote for your favour. I can’t speak for the others.” Poseidon said.
“Thank you father. Should I prepare for defending myself against being killed or what can I expect?”
Poseidon stood up and walked over to Stella. He rested a hand on her shoulder. “Let me handle the talking. You and your friends will have to defend yourselves yes. But don’t worry too much. My brother has been in a good mood lately.”
Stella nodded and gave him a warm smile.
The water helped her calm her mind. But stress ate her away. She’d already survived a voting over their life. But last time the gods actually knew who they were. A maid came with food. Stella thanked her and sat down to eat. Then she was cleaned up before going to bed.
She dreamt that night. She didn’t remember much of it. Her, Thalia and Nico traveled across the land. But something was hunting them. Something big and dark.
“Not even the Gods can save you now.”
