Pigments takes place in a world where everyone has elemental powers. These powers were granted to the people by gods who have since left them. The gods gave parts of themselves to one person of each element. Those people became the leaders for their respective element. This eventually led to each element becoming their own kingdom all divided from each other.
There are 10 elements in total (technically 6 elements): fire, water (also ice), air, plant, light, darkness, earth (includes metal and crystal), and lightning.
Flame Seraphim (he/they)
- Second born prince of Pyrosia, the fire kingdom
- Has memory issues and doesn’t remember much of his childhood
- Left the royal family because his “father” told him that he isn’t of royal blood. Flame wanted to find his own purpose
- Wants to explore the world and understand its people (possibly unite the kingdoms to create peace between them)
- Also wants to know about what happened to him that led to his memory loss
Caspian Matelot (he/him)
- Sailor from Naiadan, the water kingdom
- Taken in by the navy as a child; doesn’t know what happened to his birth family
- Crossed paths with Flame and helped him escape the royal palace
- He joined Flame on his journey because he thinks that Flame can help the commonwealth and stop the class divide
- Wants to know more about his birth parents and if they are still alive
Blossom Vernali (she/her)
- Baker from Gardenia, the plant kingdom
- Leaving home for the first time on her own to explore the world
- Was in Pyrosia when Flame left home; joined him and Caspian as a travel companion
- Never intended on becoming a part of an adventuring group but still tagged along because she believes that Flame is genuinely interested in helping others
- Also joined since her mom was an adventurer and revolutionary. Unfortunately her mom passed away mysteriously, so Blossom wants to know the details of her death
Iris Cumulo (she/they)
- Ex-princess of Cirrus, the air kingdom
- Kicked out of the royal family for speaking out against their way of ruling
- Joined a traveling circus and ended up performing in Pyrosia
- Noticing that Flame was also a royal, she joined the team. She felt sympathetic towards his situation but was also suspicious about his unification mission
- Wants to continue traveling and running away from her family. She thinks that she can do more work out in the world than in the kingdom
These four are the main members of team Pigments. They met after the coronation of Flame’s brother, Ashe (he/him), who is now the king of Pyrosia. Throughout the course of their journey they meet other future members of the team. There names are Lucía (she/her), Pluto (they/he), Jahan (he/him), Beryl (they/she), Nival (she/her) and Rai (he/him). Since I don’t have finalized designs for them yet I’ll write about them at a later time.
