Chapter Text
“How are the roses doing, Leon?” asked the brunette, leaning over Leon’s shoulder in curiosity. This was Albert, Leon’s college roommate and supervisor at the florist's.
“They seem to be growing fine, some are even starting to bloom” replied Leon as he gently sprayed the blossoming petals of the flowers.
He stood up, wiping a bead of sweat off his forehead as he turned to see what Albert thought of his first contribution to the florists: the pots of roses sitting in front of them.
“Wonderful!” said Albert, looking down at the flowers, “Hopefully they’ll bloom soon, seeing as Valentine's Day is just around the corner.”
Leon scoffed lightly at the mention of Valentine’s Day. What a stupid holiday, he thought to himself. Its only purpose is to serve as an excuse to sell as many roses, chocolates and other unnecessarily overpriced stuff to the masses.
His expression must have given away his inner thoughts as Albert looked confused at why he suddenly stopped replying.
“Oh- yeah. I forgot that it's already late January… hah.”
And just as it seemed the moment would get awkwarder, a certain blondie slammed the door open.
“ALBERT!!!”
“Not him again-”
“Awwww you missed me, didn’t you? Oh, you don’t even need to answer-”
“What do you want.”
Leon looked on at the absolutely insane sight before him. Who was this person? Let alone who was this person with borderline golden blonde hair??? Maybe he dyes it…-
“Alby who is this?” said the blonde, “A new coworker? Oh, how great, he’s making friends!-”
“Do not start with that in here and do not ever call me that ever again… so sorry for the rude interruption, but Leon, this is Ciel, and Ciel this is Leon.”
Ciel grabs Leon’s hand and shakes it intensely.
“Bonjour! It’s very nice to meet you!”
“Uh..hi-”
But before he could reply, Ciel had already ran off to chase down Albert.
Well he’s… certainly a character…
