No one is supposed to know. But what happens if they do find out ?

Look I wanted a trans Inazuma Eleven fanfic since I'm having a brain riot over this fandom since the release of the beta and well I'm not cis (duh), but there were barely any so yeah I had to do it myself.
English isn't my first language, sorry for any spelling mistakes, I'll correct them as soon as I get some sleep. Also this is my first work on here (and ever) so sorry if I get anything wrong.

Notes:

Okay so I wrote this at 2am and decided that for once I wanted to post, this is the first time so it's kinda scary but it's fine. Other chapters to come, hopefully not a long time from now, but you never know. Uh. First chapter's kinda weird, sorry about that I'm sleep deprived. Yeah. Enjoy ?

Chapter 1: Fuck.

Chapter Text

Passing the ball to one of his teammates, running towards the goal, shooting towards it. Kidou was in the middle of a training session with his team, Inazuma Japan. They had won the world cup, becoming champions, but it didn't mean their coach was going to let them rest even one bit. They were still so many talented players all around the world, so they had to be prepared. For this purpose, everyday after school, Kidou went to train with his team until he was completely exhausted and sometimes barely able to move. He didn't mind, in fact he loved how satisfied he felt after a good entrainment. He especially loved playing with his teammates, who had all became his friends, the people he trusted the most.

But as his eyes went around the football field, he noticed something odd. Fudou, his old enemy, still rival but now also friend, was absent. This was weird, Fudou was persuaded to have seen him just a moment before. After thinking for a few seconds, he decided to go check the changing room. He wouldn't be long, and he needed a break anyway. He told the closest person he found, Hiroto, that he was going to go get some water, and then he went, wondering what Fudou was doing.

As he opened the door leading to the boy's locker room, the silence struck him. It was never quiet in a room filled with all of the players of Inazuma Japan, with Endou always rambling about football, Utsunomiya talking to Gouenji about a new shooting technique, Hiroto and Ryuuji talking about things they were the only ones able to understand and the coach yelling at them to hurry up, there was enough noise to get a headache if you weren't used to it.

But Kidou was, and so the absence of this usual noise destabilised him. He entered the room, and, influenced by the room's atmosphere, closed quietly the door. He looked around the room, and felt a hint of disappointment as he didn't see the familiar silhouette of his friend. Resigned, he made his way to the other part of their locker room, where they were some toilets as well as some sinks. He was actually thirsty after all, and he didn't want to admit he had left the training only to see his friend.

So he went to one of the sink, and as he was about to start the water, he heard a noise behind him. He turned, and that's when he saw him. Fudou Akio. Fudou Akio, coming out of one of the few cabins disposed in the room. Fudou Akio, with his stone-like blue eyes that Jude spent maybe a little too much time staring in when he was supposed to be training. Fudou Akio, looking startled, even panicked. Fudou Akio, Kidou realised as he took in the entirety of the boy standing before him, not wearing a shirt. Wearing something he didn't recognised but could only be described as some kind of sport bra.

They started at eachother, too shocked to talk or even move. A thousand different thoughts were racing in Kidou's mind, trying to comprehend what he was seeing. Fudou, on the other hand, looked like he wasn't thinking at all and that his mind had simply ceased to work. They stayed like this for what felt like hour but really only was a couple minutes.

Fudou was the first to break the silence. With a harsh tone, he asked Kidou :

"-What are you staring at ?"

The sudden noise made Kidou snap back to reality. He had a fairly good idea of something that could explain what his teammate was wearing, but he had no idea how to even bring up the subject, knowing how Fudou always made a point to reject any slightly personal questions. Fudou seemed to expect an answer tho, so Kidou started speaking slowly :

"-Fudou I...

-What the fuck are you even doing here ?"

Kidou stopped talking immediately, surprised by Fudou's cruel voice. He definitely wasn't going to bring up his suspicion now. Instead, he tried a different approach.

"-I was just going to get some water.

-And you kept staring at me because ?

-I had something to tell you."

Fudou seemed to be surprised by this answer, and Kidou equally was. Technically, it was true : he did have something he wanted to Fudou. But even if he wanted to tell him, he never actually intended to do it, and certainly not in a context like the one happening right now. His train of thought was interrupted again by Fudou.

"-And you're staring again. What the fuck is wrong with you Kidou ?

-I wasn't...

- But you were, just assume it. Don't try to lie. Now you better tell me what is it that you want with me."

Fudou kept talking with his usual confidence, but Kidou knew him well enough to know it was all an act. He decided that his unspoken words could stay unspoken a little longer, and instead that he should focus on the really important matter right now. His instinct was telling him that his suspicion were the only logical explanation, and even if he knew it was probably going to cause Fudou to be even more angry, his curiosity got the better of him.

"-Fudou, are you..."

He paused, looking for a reaction in the other boy's eyes. In them, he saw a defeated look but also, if he looked a little further, he could see a hint of resolution. Not being able to hold himself any longer, he asked :

"-Are you trans ?"

He regretted the words as soon as they came out of his month, when he saw Fudou's eyes flicker with anger again. He wanted to take it back, to apologise, to say something else, anything else to make him forget, but Fudou spoke before he had the chance to do any of this.

"-You shouldn't have seen that."

He walked away at the end of his sentence, closing the door behind him, leaving behind him the loud noise of the door echoing in the silence room and a wordless Kidou who, after snaping out of the shock he was in since he had first seen Fudou, realised what he had done. He started running towards the door, slamming it close behind him, as he cursed himself under his breath.

"Fuck."
