Rain's POV
I woke up and sat up in bed not feeling great, everything hurt and my stomach turning, I grabbed my black and gold framed glasses off the table and put them on knowing I wasn't going to bother with contacts today. I stood up and felt the pain in my knees get worse, "Great, everything hates me today." I sat down in the wheelchair beside the bed and went to my closet to grab one of the hoodies I had stolen from Swiss a while back, once I had it on I put my glasses back on and went into the bathroom to wash my face and put my hair up. When I left the room I saw Dew walking down the hall to the kitchen and started to follow him, he looked up and saw me coming, "Hey Rain."
He waited by the door and held it open for me, "Hey Dew, thanks."
"No problem." We got into the kitchen and I started making some tea when I felt him watching me from the counter then heard Dew say, "Wait?"
I looked at him, "What?"
He came closer and looked at me, "The fuck? Are those real?"
I looked at him confused, "Are what real?"
"The glasses?"
"Yeah? You've seen them before."
He shook his head, "No I haven't."
I turned around to look at him, "You've been in my room."
"Yeah and that doesn't mean anything." He looked closer, "I don't go looking around your stuff." We heard someone walk in and looked up to see Sunshine Dew looked at her, "Hey Sunny have you ever seen them with glasses?"
She looked at me, "I don't think so? I think you're the only one that'll notice."
"Why?"
"Because you're always staring at them." She walked closer to the counter and said, "Let me just reach over you a second Rainy."
"You're good, I thought you guys knew?"
They both shook their heads and Dew said, "How would we know? You never have them on are you just walking around and can't see?"
"I wear contacts, just didn't feel like bothering with them today."
Sunny got her mug filled then walked to the fridge, "Does anyone know?"
I shrugged, "Now I don't know."
Dew said, "We can test it, we can wait and see who notices."
Sunny nodded, "We have practice today so we can see then."
I grabbed my mug off the counter, "Sounds good to me, can you grab the lid for me while I go change?"
Sunny nodded and grabbed the ceramic lid for my mug, "Take your time I'm sure Dew can heat it back up."
"Thanks."
When I got into my room I shut the door and went to my closet to grab one of the shirts Cumulus got me a while back, I grabbed the cropped hoodie and went to my dresser to grab my binder then a pair of shorts and boots. Once I got everything on I grabbed a pair of black framed glasses out of the drawer on my bedside table and cleaned them off before putting them on and leaving the room. When i got to the living room i saw Dew sitting on the couch looking at his phone and said, "What are you doing?"
He looked up, "Looking to see if there are pictures of you with them on, so far nothing."
I laughed, "You're so weird."
"Yeah and you look like a dork."
I laughed and grabbed my mug, "How would you know? As far as i can tell you haven't exactly looked at my face."
I saw him turn red as he looked back at his phone, "Shut up, is that still warm?"
I laughed and came closer to the couch, "Yeah its still pretty warm."
"If you need me to I'll heat it up some, Sunny went to find Cumulus and Cirrus."
"Cool, can you hold that for me?"
I handed him the mug, "Yeah do you need any help?"
"I've got it."
I got on the couch and he handed me my mug, "You still look like a dork."
I rolled my eyes and took a sip of tea, "Yeah yeah."
"But a cute one."
I stoped and looked at him, "Shut up." I heard someone walking in and looked up to see Mountain, "Hey Mountain."
He looked at me, "Hey Rain, those look good not feeling contacts today?"
I looked up at him, "How did you?"
"Just knew, you look good though they look cute."
I felt my face getting warm and Dew laughed, "See."
I rolled my eyes, "Thanks Mountain, Dew didn't know about them until today."
"Of course he would notice he's always staring at you."
I laughed and Dew said, "Hey! Will everyone stop saying that!"
We heard Aether say, "Will everyone stop saying what?"
I looked at him, "That Dew's always staring at me."
He laughed as he walked to the fridge, "He is."
Dew got off the couch after a while of sitting with me and said, "You done with that?"
I looked at the empty mug on the table beside me, "Yeah I can take it."
He shook his head, "I'm already up I've got it."
"Thanks." I handed him the mug and sat up more as he walked away, "What time is practice?"
He put the mugs in the sink and said, "I think around two thirty."
I nodded, "Cool, you know Aether didn't say anything do you think he knew too?"
Dew shrugged as he walked back to the couch, "I don't know, I still wanna know how Mountain knew."
I shrugged, "I don't know how he did I'm as confused as you are."
He looked at me, "Wait how many pairs do you have?"
I laughed, "A few, you finally noticed I changed them."
"Yeah, how many is a few?"
"Like three? One of them I can change the front of them I only have a couple different ones for them though."
"Can I see them?"
I smiled, "Yeah let me go get them."
"I can if you want me to?"
I shook my head as I got off the couch and into the chair, "Its okay I've got it. I'll be right back."
"Okay let me know if you need anything."
"I will, thanks Dew." I went back down the hall to my room and got the other pairs of glasses out of the drawer and set them in my lap before heading back out into the hall, I heard Sunshine behind me, "Hey Rainy."
"Hey."
"What you doing?"
"Getting the other pairs for Dew to see them, I think he's a little obsessed."
She laughed, "I think so, I like the ones you have on they look cute."
I smiled, "Thanks they're my favorite ones." We got to the living room again and I said, "Okay here you go Dew."
He looked up from his phone and said, "Are those the ones that you can change?"
I laughed, "Yeah, here's the frames I have."
When Dew and Sunshine were done trying my glasses on I saw Cumulus walk into the room, she looked at me, "Rainy you look so cute."
I smiled at her, "Thanks Dew's been obsessing all day."
"With the glasses?"
I nodded, "Yeah today was the first time he's seen them."
"Same here, they look cute though."
"Thanks we've been waiting to see who would notice."
"That sounds like fun who has so far?"
"These two, Mountain somehow already knew and I'm not sure Aether noticed he didn't say anything."
"Cirrus should be in soon I won't say anything to her."
I laughed, "Thanks I guess everyone will be in here soon."
She looked at the time, "Yeah probably."
We heard Cirrus walk into the room and say, "Hey guys." She walked over to Cumulus and kissed her cheek, "How are you all today?"
Cumulus smiled and kissed her, "Good, you want anything?"
She shook her head and started grabbing a mug for her coffee, "I'm okay Babe, how are you guys? Rainy you look cute today."
I smiled at her, "Thanks."
She looked at Dew, "Looks like Dew's having a good day."
I looked at him abd laughed as he looked away, "Will you stop staring at me."
Everyone laughed and Cirrus said, "He's obsessed with you, I like the glasses by the way."
"Thanks."
"Didn't feel like contacts?"
I shook my head, "Not today, I thought Dew knew about them but apparently not."
Sunshine looked at me, "You might have to beat him.off with a stick Rainy."
I looked at Dew again, "Stop." I moved a way from him and laughed, "You're so weird."
He pouted at me, "Come back. I'll stop."
I rolled my eyes and said, "I'll come back in a minute I think I left my bass in the other room."
He sat up, "I can go get it. Or I can come with you?"
Sunshine laughed, "Take him with you please?"
"Yeah okay, its just down the hall."
He stood up and walked beside me down the hall, I looked up at him, "Why are you always staring at me?"
He looked at me, "I'm not, why does everyone keep saying that?"
I rolled my eyes, "We can all see it Dew its just us you can tell me."
He looked around as we entered the room then said, "You promise you won't say anything?"
"That depends on what it is."
"I'm serious I don't tell people shit like this."
"Okay I won't tell."
He took a deep breath, "Okay, I like you. A lot, I know it sounds stupid but I've liked you for a long time and I didn't think anyone knew but Sunny she,"
I laughed, "Dew its okay, I like you too." I saw him freeze, "You okay?"
He nodded, "Yeah I wasn't expecting that."
I smiled at him, "That's okay I kinda knew already I just wanted to hear you say it." I saw his face turn red and he walked to where the two bass guitars were standing, "Can you grab that for me?"
He nodded, "Yeah I'll carry it for you, this one?"
He grabbed the black bass from the stand, "Yeah thanks." He walked back to me and I smiled up at him, "Come here." He got closer and I pulled him close by the neck and kissed him, "That better?"
When he pulled away his eyes widened and his face was even redder, "I, I don't."
I laughed, "I had to. Let's get back they'll be wondering where we are."
When we got back everyone was in the room but Copia, Sunshine was standing beside Mountain and looked at us as we came in, "Dew why's your face so red?"
I looked up at him and smirked, "He might have to tell you later."
She looked at me, "Rainy what did you do?"
I laughed, "Nothing bad we were just talking."
"Yeah okay."
When Copia walked in he looked around at all of us and said, "Sorry I got stopped by one of the siblings on my way in."
Aether looked up from his guitar, "You're fine, now those two over there actually have to get set up."
I lifted my head from Dew's shoulder and we both looked at him, "Hey we're set already."
Dew nodded, "Yeah and Rainy's not feeling good so I'm trying to help."
Sunshine laughed, "Rain you really do have him wrapped around your finger."
I smiled, "I know." I kissed his cheek, "Time to get up."
I got out of his lap and into the chair then went to where my bass was standing, Aether looked at me, "I like that pair better on you I think."
I looked up at him while grabbing my bass, "So you knew?"
He shook his head, "No I noticed earlier."
Dew looked at him, "You didn't say anything?"
He shrugged, "Its just glasses."
I laughed, "Dew's just mad he didn't know about it til today."
Aether laughed, "Yeah he would be the one to know wouldn't he?"
Copia looked at us and said, "Rain how did you get those?"
Dew looked at me, "Wait Copia didn't know either?"
He shook his head and I laughed, "Sister took me she noticed I was having a hard time and decided to help out. She helped me pick them and everything."
The three of them looked at me and Copia said, "How did she? You know what I don't need to know, lets get started okay?"
We nodded and Dew started playing the begining of Kaisarion.
Bonus
Dew and I were headed to the living room for movie night a few days after, we heard someone walking behind us and Dew looked around to see Swiss, "Hey Swiss."
He smiled at him, "Hey how are you guys?"
"Good Rain had to go back and get their glasses."
Swiss looked at me, "Wait?"
I looked at him, "What?"
"When did you start wearing those?"
"When I got here? I thought you saw them the other day?"
He shook his head, "No? Did everyone know about this?"
Dew said, "We've all known since Monday, how did you not hear us talking about it?"
He shrugged, "I don't know?"
Dew opened the door for us and we went inside, he looked around and saw Sunshine, "Pay up I was right."
She looked up from braiding Mountains hair, "What?"
"I had to tell him, he didn't notice."
She rolled her eyes and pulled ten dollars out of her pocket, "Fine here."
I looked at them both, "You bet your sister on when he would notice?"
Dew nodded while pocketing the money, "Yep."
Swiss looked at Dew, "She's your sister?"
Sunny laughed, "Ha! Give it back bitch!"
I looked at them both again, "What the fuck is wrong with you two?"
