Twilight Sparkle had been walking through the woods for two days, using the woods around her and the supplies she brought to keep her afloat. Having not found anything in that time, she was starting to doubt her map's guidance.
"What's a Princess doing all the way out here?" A hidden stallion said from the cover of the dark forest.
"H-hello?" She asked hesitantly, quickly glancing back and forth. A pony? "I w-was just sent on a m-mission."
"A mission you say?" It was moving around her, carefully trotting just out of sight. It chuckled quietly, "What kind of mission? Has your country finally come to apologize for your mistreatment of your own species?" His voice dripped with venom, a glaring hatred shining through his tone.
Twilight looked around, trying to spot the stranger. Her expression twisted into confusion, "What mistreatment? Equestria is one of the kindest nations I've known." She carefully took a step forward, We haven't mistreated the other pony civilizations to my knowledge.
"Kind, *Scoffs* sure.....Have your 'Princesses' erased our nation?" It was getting closer, she would be able to see it soon. This can't be a pony.
"I've never heard of a lost civilization, Equestria is very good at keeping it's history. What is your nation's name?" Twilight caught a glimpse of a rich blue in the corner of her eye. She whipped her head towards the color, but couldn't see anything anymore. Taking a few steps forward, she still couldn't see anything.
After a moment of silence, its deep voice sounded again, "The Equivalain"
