Summary:

A soul...

What could a soul achieve for you?

Do you want to finally rest? Or to give yourself another chance and save everyone from Henry's grasp after everything?

A soul like mine will benefit you. Though, there will be changes.

Will you accept?

It starts in the fire near the end of DSaF 3. Heavy topics of depression and suicide, and a lot depictions of blood and gore.

Chapter Text

As the flames licked all around him, Jack stood there, watching as all of the tragic creations of Dr. Henry Miller burned. The shrieks of anger and betrayal echoed around him as Davetrap gave his final curses. Of course Jack pitied him, but he no longer felt too bad knowing the good part of Dave had moved onto the after for the better. Maybe this one can too.

He looked around at the animatronics surrounding him. All those souls led astray, who could finally meet their end.

The screams of Davetrap were suddenly drowned out as he looked at back at Fredbear who was eyeing him thoughtfully, considering what he had heard Jack say. The final wish he had uttered before his sure death in this fire. Fredbear addressed him.

“A soul…

Is that what you so desire?

What could a soul achieve for you?

Do you want to finally rest? Or give yourself another chance and save everyone from Henry’s grasp after everything?

A soul like mine will benefit you,
But it comes with a price.”

Jack hesitated, looking into the golden bear’s eyes

“What’s the price.”

“Your job isn’t over. Henry still has his ways to influence the world, the price is you stopping it. This won’t be easy, you’d die without my aid, and that’s why I agree to offer it to you.

Do you accept?”

“What aren’t you telling me.” Jack started coughing shortly after expressing his skepticism, the ash filling his lungs. He needed more time to think.

“There is no time, you either accept or decline. You’ll know in time what price you paid. This is your chance to have a soul to later move onto the afterlife, or you can lay to rest where you stand for eternity.

It’s your choice.

Now what will you choose?”

Jack sighed.
He could’ve declined
Been at peace for eternity

But that didn’t happen in this universe.

He slowly nodded his head

Jack started coughing profusely again, stumbling as he inhaled the smoke. His vision was slowly getting dark as suddenly the flames felt more intense, falling to his knees still coughing, not even being able to look back at the bear who towered above him.

As Jack felt himself on the brim of blacking out, he heard the bear whisper two final words.

“Good choice.”

Notes:

This chapter has been revamped, so if you have read this series before in its earlier days and it looks off, this is why! My writing style and skill level has changed drastically over these past few months, and I wanted to redo this work. After all, it’s the very first chapter!
