"It's a terrible movie," Edward yawns, and rolls over to sprawl out across the bed, cell phone clasped tight to his ear. "This main character- he's even worse a detective than you, Bruce- was chasing a red herring for nearly the entirety of the first hour and completely ignoring Locard's Exchange Principle. And the love interest! Atrocious is simply not the word!"
He shudders delicately and tugs off his tie, discarding it on the bedside table. "I suppose a cheap motel like this couldn't have catered to my cinematic standards anyway. Ah, well... best to get some beauty sleep now, hmm? Not that I need it, of course, but between your rogues and your offspring you need all the shut-eye you can get. I'll see you tomorrow."
Edward can hear a faint huff on the other end of the line. He smiles, winks even though Bruce can't see him, and yawns again.
"Sleep tight, Dark Knight," he murmurs, and hangs up.
