Lincoln was always a observant guy and he immediately noticed that Kieran was acting weird when he got back from the school trip but he thought nothing of it
he watched Kieran climb up the ranks of the BB league club and quickly beat him became champion (granted he was using a team of all dragon types) but the Kieran started acting even stranger he began to be harsh on the other members and even Removed some of them from the club
he asked carmine about what happened and she said that is was just teenage rebellion which he thought was complete bullshit so he decided to ask carmine for the number of the friend she and Kieran mad to get some info
Florian gave him some info apparently Kieran carmine and Florian met the ogre of kitakami and befriended it however Kieran didn't meet it until later and was lied to about it. Florian seemed to be really upset about having to that
then they helped the ogre, Florian and carmine got it's masks back and Kieran got the townsfolk to apologize to it
then things went downhill fast
the ogre named Ogerpon wanted to stay with Florian but Kieran wanted to befriend it so they battled and Kieran lost, then Florian caught Ogerpon
Lincoln supposed that this must've caused Kieran to be obsessed with power to beat Florian
"so if Kieran wants to have power I'll show it to him..." Lincoln said as he grabbed his main team "not as an BB league elite four member but as world champion."
Lincoln found Kieran in the the central area talking to one of the members of the BB league club, mikey was his name
"I thought I told you to get a team of five pokemon was that so hard?!" Kieran said
"sorry I have been busy with helping my family!" Mikey said
"no I get I'll just remove you from the club since you don't want to take this seriously." Kieran said
"Kieran that's enough!" Lincoln said
Kieran turned to him
"is that anyway to talk to the champion?" Kieran asked
"you ain't a champion if you're acting like that!" Lincoln said as Kieran rolled his eyes
"how about this if you can beat me I'll stop focusing on strength." Kieran said not expecting Lincoln to say yes "but if you lose you leave."
"I agree!" Lincoln said
"very well might as well make this a championship match then." Kieran said

Kieran and Lincoln were ready for their battle which gathered a massive crowd
"I've beaten you dragon types before this will be easy." Kieran said
Lincoln let out a laugh at this
"what's so funny?" Kieran asked as he sent out politoad and dragonite
"who said anything about dragon types?" Lincoln asked as he sent out malachite and Havik to the shock of everyone there
"(I'LL CRUSH YOU!)" malachite yelled
"(this better be worth my time.)" Havik said
"so you have a few fancy Pokemon. it won't change anything." Kieran said
"malachite thunderbolt." Lincoln said "havik moonblast."
both pokemon released their attacks and one shot both of Kieran's pokemon
"What?!?" Kieran yelled
"talk shit get hit." Lincoln said
Kieran growled as he sent out porygon Z and grimsnarl
"blood moon." Lincoln said "dark pulse."
both attacks hit both pokemon and knocked them out before they even got a chance to attack
"This is impossible!" Kieran growled
the other elite four members were stunned
(has he been holding back this whole time?) Lacey thought to herself
"I won't lose!" Kieran yelled as he sent out hydrapple and incineroar
"This is everything I worked for!" Kieran yelled as his terastalized his hydrapple
"Wicked blow." Lincoln said "Shadow force."
Havik gut punched incineroar and malachite vanished and hit Hydrapple with a devastating blow
and with that the battle was over
"Wha- how-" Kieran began to say as he held his head and fell to his knees
"He did it!" Crispin yelled
"Crispin not a good time." Lacey said
"No no no no no no." Kieran began to repeat as everyone began to walk away "I gotta get stronger... must win..."
carmine looked worried at this
"oh don't give me that." Lincoln said as he walked over
"i beat you before how could I've have lost?" Kieran said
"clearly you don't know who the fuck I am so let me remind you." Lincoln said "I am lincoln mother fucking nobori, world champion, grandson of drayden, son of subway boss Ingo, nephew to subway boss emmet, and the master of the original dragon who shaped unova, so put some respect on my fucking name."
"wha-" Kieran said
"a true champion doesn't only see pokemon for strength they see them as friends." Lincoln said "you can keep your title but if you don't listen to my advice you will keep losing."
"I-" Kieran began before he was cut off
"save it. I only did this so you would learn a lesson about being a champion if you don't listen it's your fault." Lincoln said before he walked away
Kieran was left there stunned

"hey lincoln." Carmine said
"oh hey carmine sorry I was a bit rough with your brother there." Lincoln said
"no it's fine that loss actually got him to talk to me and know he's looking to better himself." Carmine explained
"oh well good for him." Lincoln said
"I just wanted to say thanks." Carmine said
"thanks for what?" Lincoln asked
" for helping him see straight." Carmine said "it was starting to worry me."
" no problem just take it easy on him alright?" Lincoln said as he was about to walk way but Carmine stopped him
"how did you know that he was going down a dark path? I mean I'm his sister and I thought it was teenage rebellion." Carmine said
"simple. I've seen it." Lincoln said thinking back to Volo and Lynn jr
"well thanks for helping him." Carmine said "see ya later."
"see ya." Lincoln said before walking away
