Y/ns P.O.V
It was the fourth of August and I was getting ready to move to Japan, well... emotionally, I still had about three weeks and a half until we flew there, but we were getting our things there first. My mother already flew there since he got a job there, which was why we were moving in the first place. So it was just me in the house along with my grandma, who was helping me pack the rest of our things and flying them to Japan.
Currently I was sitting ok the couch and watching TV, my grandma was asleep on the recliner next to me. I heard my phone ping.
'𝘩𝘦𝘺, 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘑𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘯?'
It was a message from someone online. I had posted something earlier that week, asking if there was anyone in Japan who was willing to be my friend, I was ecstatic to receive this message.
'𝘠𝘦𝘢𝘩! 𝘋𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦?' I responded.
'𝘠𝘦𝘢𝘩, 𝘐 𝘥𝘰! '
'𝘞𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘰𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘧𝘧'
'𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦!'
They sent multiple texts. I was happy to get a friend who lived near where I was moving.
'𝘈𝘸𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦!'
'𝘚𝘰! 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦?' I asked, trying to get to know them.
'𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭, 𝘐 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘐'𝘮 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘰𝘭.'
'𝘐 𝘥𝘳𝘢𝘸 𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥.'
'𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶?'
I thought for a moment before I responded.
'𝘚𝘢𝘮𝘦!'
'𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘐'𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘵'
'𝘐 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘢𝘬𝘦'
I sent, after that we texted for a few hours before I told them I had to sleep since it was well past my bedtime and we each said goodnight.
I got up and stretched, a couple of bones popped and I let out a satisfied sigh before I went upstairs to my room. I grabbed some pj's and began my nightly routine of showering, brushing my teeth, washing my face, and drying my hair before I flipped onto my mostly bare bed. I sighed, missing all my extra blankes, pillows and stuffed animals.
I yawned before I wrapped myself in the last blanket I have and quickly fell asleep.

In the morning I felt surprisingly energized, I had only gotten about 3 hours of sleep but I felt like I had slept all day. I got dressed and brushed my teeth before putting on some light makeup and doing my hair. I grabbed my schoolbag and kissed my grandma goodbye before I headed out.
Today would be one of the last days I go to school here since I need to focus on getting the rest of my things to Japan and learning more Japanese. When I made it to school I went to my locker and grabbed what I needed before I went to first period.

After school I cleaned out my locker of all my belongings and stuffed them in my backpack. I needed to return my textbooks to the school and take my supplies home. I walked to the principals office and knocked on the door. The large slightly hairy man opened the door and smiled.
"Oh, hello, I remember you told me you'd be coming by to return your books." He said and I nodded.
"Yup! Here they are." I said as I took off my backpack and took out the books.
He took them greatfully and placed them on his desk. "Thank you very much dear, have a good day." He said as he sat back down at his desk and got on his computer.
I nodded and left. I walked home feeling slightly tired, and a bit sad. All day my friends were getting upset and complaining about me moving overseas. We all decided to have weekly if not daily videochats once I moved. When I made it home my grandma was in the living room knitting while watching Hells Kitchen™️, she smiled and greeted me as I walked in and I gave her a hug and kiss before I went to the kitchen to grab a snack.
We had a lot of snacks here since we didn't go grocery shopping. I took a bag of chips and left to my room where I began texting my friend from Japan.
'𝘏𝘦𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘦!'
'𝘩𝘳𝘶?'
It took a few minutes but she eventually responded.
'𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘥, 𝘩𝘣𝘶?'
'𝘐'𝘮 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘵𝘰𝘰!'
'𝘛𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘸'𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 😭'

I smiled at that. I was already too excited to move, I couldn't wait to see my friend and meet her friends.

We chatted for a few more minutes before she said some stuck up rich kid 'scolded' her for being up late. I chuckled at that and said good night before we each logged off.
I sighed and ate my chips, I scrolled on social media boredly before I got a text from my mom.
'𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘯𝘦𝘸𝘴! 𝘠𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘑𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵!'
My eyes widened at the message. Before I could respond, another two pings came from my phone.

'𝘉𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘴, 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘴?'
I didn't know how to react. What would my friends think? They'd be so sad that their time with me was suddenly cut short. And I'm not even sure if I'm ready to move, my Japanese was still sub par. I shakily texted back.
'𝘈𝘸𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦'
'𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵!'
I was sort of panicking, and I couldn't even talk to my Japanese friend since she was being reprimanded for staying up late. I sighed and walked out of my room to see my grandma on her phone.
"Oh, great timing. I wasn't sure how to use this.. Doors dashing." She said as she held the phone screen near her face. "And I need to find my readers.." She mumbled.
"Dont worry grandma I'll do it." I said as I took the phone and ordered our food.
Soon enough we had some McDonald's and we watched a random scary movie before we both decided to head off to bed.

The next day I had to break it to my friends that instead of me being here for another week and a half, I'd only be here for two days which was today and tomorrow.
"This isn't going to end well..." I mumbled to myself.
I walked over to my friends and sat by them during first period and we chatted for a bit before I called their attendance.
"Guys, I have something serious to tell you." I said, they got quiet and I looked off to the side nervously. "I.. I'm going to Japan earlier than anticipated..."
I waited for a moment, they were silent, seemingly taking in the information, before they all began whining and crying. I tried to console them as they pleaded for me to stay and I explained why I had to leave early.
"Sorry guys, I love you all and I'll miss you." I said as we shared a tearful hug.
"I'll miss you too." One of them said.
"We all will." Another one said as she elbowed the first.
"I hope you love Japan." The third one said.
"Yeah.. and don't forget to call!" The first one said.
We hugged again and wiped our tears before we began to pay attention to the lecture.

At the end of the day I bud my friends farewell and promised to keep in touch before we shared a final hug and parted ways.
I walked home a bit crestfallen and I plopped onto the couch in the living room. My grandma came out of the hallway and smiled.
"Hey, sweetness, what's the matter?" She asked as she sat next to me and gave me a hug.
I hugged her back and sighed, "I'm gonna miss my friends.."
"Oh, I'm sorry sweetie.. I know it's gonna be rough.. but you'll get through with this." She kissed my cheek softly and I smiled.
We sat there on the couch for a bit until my grandma had me help with door dash again and we had more McDonald's and watched another shitty horror movie. After our dinner and the movie we both got ready for bed.
As I flopped onto my bed, I remembered to tell my friend from Japan about my sudden change in plans.
'𝘏𝘦𝘺! 𝘐 𝘨𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘸𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘶!'
After a moment, she responded.
'𝘖𝘰 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘵?'
'𝘐'𝘮 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘑𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘥!'
'𝘚𝘰 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵 𝘴𝘰𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘳!'

I smiled at the text.
'𝘉𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺, 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘰𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘳, 𝘔𝘺 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘴 Himari! Okaashi Himari'

We chatted for a little while longer before it seemed like someone else took her phone and sent something.

I giggled a bit at the message.

I blushed a bit at the compliment, but before I could respond another text came in.
'𝘚𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘪𝘥𝘪𝘰𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥 Denki.'

After that I yawned and put my phone on the charger before I went to sleep.

The next morning I got up early to get the rest of my things packed and ready to leave for Japan, I had to admit, I was kinda nervous, but I distracted myself by being productive. Once I finished packing it was already midday and i went to my favorite cafe for the last time before I got ready to get to the airport.
While there I was texting Himari to ease my nerves, she told me I had nothing to be worried about and that I'll be fine, but it wasn't really helping. I'd be on this flight alone, since my grandma was going to stay at her own house in the states. She had my uncles help move the couch and remaining things in my old house into a storage room.
As I waited for my flight to board, I was watching TikTok and sending some to my friends and Himari as well as sending memes every now and then. Eventually though, I had to face my fears and get on the plane alone, I know my mother would be waiting for me at the airport in Japan so that calmed me a bit but I was still nervous about doing this all alone. I texted Himari and asked her if she'd meet me at the airport to which she agreed. Although she did say she'd have to sneak out of training.
I sighed and sat down in my seat, I put on my headphones and listened to music on the way there.

When I arrived in Japan I got all my luggage and walked out to see my mother with a sign that read 'Welcome Home Y/n!' In large (f/c) letters. It was overly decorated with was very much my moms style, she always loved decorating and doing arts and crafts. Next to her was a girl about my height and a boy. The girl had long olive green hair and bright red eyes, the boy had bright yellow hair with a weird black streak and yellow eyes. All three of them waved as they spotted me.
"Hi mom!" I looked at the others. "Himari? And who's that?" I said to the girl.
"Yeah, that's-"
"I'm Kaminari Denki, you probably know a lot about me Himari's basically in love with me-" Himari elbowed his ribs, effectively shutting him up.
"He's the idiot who stole my phone that one time."
"Oh okay, I remember that!" I smiled as I remembered that conversation. "So why is he here?" I said.
Kaminari looked a bit embarrassed about that and Himari snickered, "He wanted to see the cute new girl.. and also skip training."
"It was my turn to spar against Bakugou! I'm not taking that risk!" He exclaimed.
Himari shook her head at his behavior, "you're just a pussy."
I chuckled at their antics before I turned to my mom. "So.. are we gonna go home?" She nodded and we all began walking.
When we left the airport Himari and Kaminari said they had to get back to school before Iida rips them a new one (again)
"This Iida guy seems like a real pain in the butt." I joked and they agreed.
"He is."
"Yeah that nerd keeps making us follow all the rules to a T!" Kaminari complained.
They soon left and I was left with my mother who walked me to our new house. It was decently sized with two floors, my bedroom was upstairs and I had to unpack all my things still. Luckily for me though, Himari agreed to come over and take me to some cool places around town and to U.A. which was where I'd be going from now on.
After about 2 hours of unpacking, Himari asked for my address and I gave it to her and within 5 minutes she was knocking at my front door.
As soon as I opened the door I was hugged by a pink blob. It backed up and apologized.
"Sorry! I was so excited to meet a foreigner! And you're so cute! And you're a girl! We need more girls in this class!" She smiled and patted my shoulders. "Oh by the way, I'm Ashido Mina!" Now that I got the chance to take a look at her, she was very pretty. She had light pink skin and short pink hair, she had two small horns on her head and her eyes were.. black.
"You're really pretty too!" I responded, her energy practically oozing onto me. "my names Y/n!"
Himari then spoke up. "Sorry Y/n, the whole squad wanted to come." She said sheepishly.
"Thats fine! The more the merrier!" I responded.
There was four other guys there, Kaminari, a guy with weird red hair, a guy with straight black hair and a guy with blond hair who looked like he wanted to destroy every he came into contact with.
"Thats Kirishima Eijirou, Sero Hanta, Bakugou Katsuki, and you already met Kaminari." Himari said. Kirishima and Sero smiled and waved as they were introduced, Kaminari smiled and Bakugou didnt even acknowledge it. Ashido gasped at Himaris sentence.
"You took Denki to meet the new girl but not ME!?" She exclaimed.
"He practically begged me to, and I was tryna go alone." Himari defended herself. Ashido pouted at this and Kirishima tried consoling her. "Well.. let's head out." Himari said as she began to walk away.
I giggled at the scene and I followed her along with everybody else. We idly chatted while walking around and we went to a few stores before we decided to eat at a cafe together.
"So, what're your guy's quirks?" I said curiously.
Kaminari spoke up first, "Electrification~" He said as he pointed finger guns at me, a small string of electricity lit up on his fingers.
"Cool!"
Kirishima spoke up next, "it's called hardening, I can basically make any part of me hard like a rock or something." He said as he showed me his arm with his quirk activated.
"Awesome."
Sero lifted his elbow, "Tape comes outta here, I'm basically spiderman." He shrugged nonchalantly.
"Wow."
"Me next! I can shoot acid from my hands!" She said as she was about to do it but Himari stopped her, whispering about not wanting to pay for another broken table.
Himari then turned to me, "I can grow plants, any kind, and I can manipulate nature." She said as she made the flower in the pot near us grow exceptionally.
"Incredible." I turned to Bakugou as he had been silent this whole time, only eating his food.
He glared at me before he spoke with a deep raspy voice. "Explosion." And that was all he said.
"A-amazing..?" I looked away, he seemed to not like me, so I'd keep my distance from him.
Himari patted my back "Don't worry about him, he's just grumpy because he didn't get to bed at his normal bedtime last night." He glared at her but didn't say anything.
"Oh okay." I responded awkwardly before Kirishima changed the subject.
"So! Y/n what's your quirk?" He asked sweetly.
"Oh me? It's just ice.. like I can make ice n stuff." I said a bit flustered at having all the attention.
"Cool! Like Elsa!" Kaminari said, referring to the Disney character.
"Yeah, like Elsa." I smiled and we all got back to chatting about random things, I was glad to have made some new friends here.

After I got home from that little outing I decided to chill before my first day of school. My mom made my favorite food for dinner and we watched some movies before heading to bed.
I laid in my bed, which was messy since I haven't finished unpacking, and I stared at the ceiling. I was nervous yet excited for my first day at U.A. I planned on waiting at the gates for Himari so we could get my schedule and so she could help me get around. I was happy to have a friend who could help me out, I would've been so lost otherwise. I fell asleep quickly as I thought about what I'd do tomorrow.
In the morning I got up and did my morning routine while searching for the nicest clothes I had since I didn't have the U.A. uniform yet and I grabbed my bag before I headed out.

The walk there was surprisingly short and quite peaceful. I got to enjoy a scenery that I wouldn't be able to see back at my old neighborhood and I was greatful for that. I stood at the gates as I waited for Himari and after about 3 minutes she appeared along with a tall muscular guy with blur hair and glasses. Himari looked tired and annoyed.
"Yeah I know, no more Mario Kart tournaments at 12 am." She spoke lazily.
"Okaashi-san! This is completely unacceptable and irresponsible! You say that everytime I tell you this, yet this is the fourth time I have to scold you for this!"
"Yeah yeah I'm sorry.." She responded before she noticed me. "Hey Iida, it's the new kid, doncha wanna help them or something." She said and Iida immediately came up to me.
"Hello there! My name is Iida Tenya! I am the representative of Class 1-A! It is a pleasure to meet you!" He extends his hand.
I awkwardly shook his hand and smiled, "um, I'm L/n Y/n.. nice to meet you."
"I can show you around if you'd like, I am an excellent helper." He stated.
I smiled and shook my head, "Thanks but Himari already offered." I smiled.
He nodded, "Okaashi? Since when was she helpful?" Himari rolled her eyes.
"Okay, go away four eyes, we'll see you in class." Himari said as she attempted to push him away. Iida chuckled a bit before walking off with perfect posture. "I shouldn't have voted for him as class rep..." Himari mumbled.
"He seems... interesting." I said with a slight giggle.
"Well.. let's get you to principal Nezu." Himari said.
We both walked through the gate and to the school. The school was giant and had a lot of windows, I stared up at it for a moment before I noticed Himari walking away. I quickly caught up to her and we made our way to the principals office.
When we walked in, Himari greeted the principal, "Oh Okaashi-san, what is it this time?"
"It's not about me Nezu, it's about the new kid." She ushered me forward and stepped to the side.
"Oh my mistake, you must be L/n Y/n. I am Nezu, your principal." He said in a cheerful tone.
I bowed slightly, "um, hello, Yeah that's me.. I was wondering if I could get my schedule." I said politely.
"Of course, here you are." He said as he handed me a small slip if paper. "Have a good day you two." He said before we left.
"Alright, you're in class 1-A! Cool you'll be with me! Just let me tell you a few things, first steer away from Mi- he who shall not be named, and second Aizawa sensei doesn't mean it when he says he's gonna expell the poorest preforming student, he just says that for motivation." Himari said cheerfully.
"O-okay.. who is he who shall not be named?" I asked curiously.
"It's this creep, he has balls on his head." She said while pointing above her head.
"Oh okay."
We walked through the large and long hallways and we eventually made it to out classroom, the door was ginormous like everything else about this school. I nervously walked in and stood at the front of the class. The teacher, Aizawa sensei, looked like he hadn't slept in 100 years yet also like he just woke up. I looked at all the desks, a bunch of curious gazes on me. I blushed in embarrassment and stood there awkwardly. Himari gave me a thumbs up and went to her seat, and from behind me Aizawa sensei spoke up.
"Oh yeah, we have a new kid. Everyone listen up, because I'm only gonna say this once.. This is the new student.."
"Um.. Hi, I'm L/n Y/n!"
