Chapter Text
As Chisato washed the last few plates and cups, she hummed a song she heard earlier on TV. She then put the last plate to dry in the sink and grabbed a towel to dry her hands. Walking into the living room where her two kids were playing on the coffee table that was in the middle of the room, she found her husband next to them on the couch, fast asleep.
She walked over to the armchair next to the couch and took a seat, then grabbed the magazine on the coffee table and gave her kids a small smile, which they returned before going back to playing. She opened her magazine and started reading it.
After a while, she felt something touch her leg so she put down her magazine to see her son climb the armchair and then take a seat on her lap.
“Got tired of playing with your sister,” Chisato said, looking at his son.
Rather than answering his mother, he pointed to where his sister went, and his mom understood what had happened.
“I guess your sister finally got tired and decided to go to sleep with your father” Chisato said as her son gave her a small nod.
“And I guess it’s just you and me for now” Chisato said with a small smile while tickling her son who giggled and smiled as he tried to get her to stop. With then Chisato going back to reading her magazine and her son playing on the armchair with his cars.
Her son wouldn’t stay long because after a few minutes he got up from her lap and got down leaving his toy cars on her lap. He then walked to where his father and sister were and climbed onto their father's chest, laying next to his sister before going to sleep. All the while, his mother watched him do it with a small smile.
Chisato grabbed the toy cars and magazine, put them on the coffee table, and walked to the end of the couch. She then grabbed a blanket and laid it over them while kissing her son and daughter's foreheads. However, as she fixed her daughter's hair, she noticed her husband's eyes opening and looking at her.
“Go back to sleep” Chisato said with a small smile and Basara returned the smile, and went back to sleep.
Chisato went back to the armchair and grabbed the magazine from the coffee table, continuing reading where she had left off but all the while thinking how happy she was to have a wonderful family.
