Work Text:
Senku’s hands were handcuffed to a beam above him. Kohaku was circling him, looking serious.
“I must say,” she said in a low tone of voice, “I didn’t expect this sort of behavior from you.”
He scoffed and pulled at the handcuffs, trying to figure out what model they were so he could escape. “Guess you don’t know me as well as you thought you did. If I need something, I take it, simple as that.”
She stopped to the side of him and he turned his head a little so he could keep an eye on her. She had on her police uniform, modified to her request that it not hinder her movement. Very official. “Then I would have expected you not to get caught.”
His finger ran over a distinctive bump on the handcuffs and he instantly knew what he was dealing with. He just had to buy himself some more time to escape. “Lioness—“
She grabbed the front of his collared shirt and yanked him to face her, startling him. His hands lost their positions on the handcuffs as he changed his grip to hold himself up. She glared at him. “Don’t call me lioness, thief. I’m in charge here.”
His mouth twisted but he nodded and she released him. He stumbled back a little, then huffed.
Something touched his back, sliding from shoulder to shoulder as she walked behind him, sending shivers down his spine. “Something funny, thief?”
He shifted. “Nah. Just…interesting way to apprehend a criminal. Not going to call for backup?”
She circled around the front again. A few buttons on her shirt were undone. “To handle you?” She grabbed his chin to have him face her, then smirked. “No need.” Then her hand slid down his neck to his chest, then to his stomach, then to the waistband of his pants.
He swallowed. “Li—“ Her eyes snapped up to his, her expression promising pain if he said her nickname again. “…look, I think we can come to an agreement.”
She undid his belt. “Oh, I’m sure of it.”
He pursed his lips as she unbuttoned his pants. She was close enough that he could see down her slightly unbuttoned shirt. Dark blue lacy bra today—a favorite of his.
“Not protesting, thief?” she asked with a coy smile.
Right, in character. He swallowed again. “You often treat suspects like this?” His voice came out a bit rough.
“Just the ones that really annoy me.” Her fingers traced the skin over his underwear waistband.
Click! One side of the handcuffs was unlocked. His hands, free, grabbed her wrists to keep her teasing fingers away. “Don’t I feel special?”
She did something fancy and suddenly his arms were stuck behind his back using his lab coat, one of her hands holding them there. He froze, eyes wide. “Did it really take you that long to escape? Ha!“ Tilting her head with a smirk, she started tugging his waistband down. “I’m disappointed. I expected—“
There was the pitter-patter of little feet out in the hall and Kohaku’s expression changed to horror instantly. “Did you lock—?” She must’ve seen the panic on Senku’s face, because she leaped to the door and turned the lock just before the handle rattled from the other side.
“Daddy?” Then the owner of those little feet ran a little farther, shaking more doorknobs down the hall and calling out.
Senku groaned and pulled his coat back up. “Taiju was supposed to be watching him.”
Kohaku raised an eyebrow and walked back to Senku, unlocking the other side of the handcuffs while he rebuttoned his pants. “You know Taiju can’t say no to his sad puppy eyes.” She rubbed his upper arm. “Your shoulders good?”
“Ten billion percent fine.” He wasn’t that old.
She bit her lip. “I wasn’t too mean?” She worried about that, since she was so much stronger than him.
“I would have told you if you were.” He knew she’d tone it down if he needed her to. She didn’t scare him, although it was fun to pretend she did sometimes.
Senku wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her close for a second. He put his chin on top of her head and took some deep breaths while her arms wrapped low around his hips. Her hair smelled like the nice shampoo Amaryllis gifted her—she’d taken extra care to get ready for this afternoon and evening, as he had. Lots of planning and anticipation—he’d even left work early. All for nothing. He groaned. “I’m going crazy. We haven’t been able to do anything for weeks.” Who’d have thought that not having enough ‘playtime’ with his wife would be what made Ishigami Senku the most upset? Or that one little boy would take up so much of their time and energy?
Kohaku hummed, then pulled away and walked over where they’d set their things to grab her cell phone. She tapped out something, waited a second, then nodded. “Ruri can take him for the rest of the day. She’ll be here in ten minutes.”
“Wasn’t she busy today?”
Kohaku smiled. “I asked very nicely. Go on, ten minutes and we can have our fun. Make sure he doesn’t get into any chemicals.”
“Ten minutes. I’ll be back, Officer. Thief's honor.” He winked and then left. Kohaku laughed as he went.
Now then. Time to find his little rascal of a son and get him out front to hand off to his aunt. Then he could get back to whatever ‘game’ he and his wife would play next. Ten billion percent exciting!
