I try to move, but something stops me. I struggle. Something seems to block my powers. I try to scream :
-Please... Someone, let me go !
-We will not let a monster like you run free !
Despite my monotone voice, I can't control something. Some water is running through my eyes. My nose is full. I don't know what is happening. I can just scream. I don't want to be sealed. I don't want to spend centuries again. I want to live.
Even if I don't know anything about it. Please, I need help. They put me inside a hole, throwing me like I am a waste. I cannot climb back... Water is still running, but my voice seems to get weaker. What is happening ?...
Qiqi opens her eyes. It's dark. She holds tightly the cocogoat plushie. She can feels her sheets being wet around her head, and some water on her cheeks. The zombie wipes off the water of her head, and starts to set on
the candle, using the few bits of memory that she managed to get without the notebook. After using an incandescent stick to ignite the small fire on her candle, Qiqi looks at her bed, and then go see herself in the mirror in her bedroom : she was crying. Her eyes are red, tears runs down her face, and her nose is full.
Why did Qiqi cries ? She usually cannot. She cannot feel enough emotions for her to be so overwhelmed to the point that she starts to cry. Qiqi looks at the cocogoat, trying to find answers in the toy's eyes... What has just happened anyway ? :
-Why... Why did Qiqi saw this ?
-...
-Why does Qiqi feels her heart being painful ? Why does she feels overwhelmed ?
-...
-You think that the notebook could guide me ?
-...
After her conversation with the plushie, she tries to read in her notebook anything about seeing scary things in her sleep... But nothing clear seems to appears. She then looks again in the cocogoats' eyes :
-The notebook didn't helped me... Do you know what else could help me ?
-...
-What did you said ? Doctor Baizhu ?
-...
-But... He must sleep. Humans... Sleep at night
-...
-No... Qiqi will try to sleep again, and without his help
The zombie tries to get back to her bed, blows the lights off with her small breathe, and sleep...
-Shut up, you monster, or else I'll hit you with my shovel !
-No ! Leave Qiqi alone... Set me free
I am in this hole. My vision is blurry. I can't seem to say anything. I feel helpless.
-Please, Rex Lapis... The Adeptis... Someone...
-Shut up ! A man hit my head with his shovel, Why can't you understand ?
-I don't want... Don't seal me !...
Qiqi wakes up again, once again with her eyes wet, and cocogoat plushie against her chest. She quietly says "I should see Doctor Baizhu, actually... You are right, cocogoat"
She walks with her small feet to Baizhu's bedroom. She quietly knocks. No answers. She push the door with her small hands, and see Baizhu, sleeping soundly. The zombie looks at him, not wanting to disturb him, but after a small look with her plushie, she grabs Baizhu vest :
-Doctor Baizhu...
-Mmmmh... Qiqi ? Says the doctor, slowly waking up, Are you alright ?
-No... Qiqi can't sleep. She is scared...
-Oh... Come here, Qiqi
-Okay, the zombie climbs on the bed, holding cocogoat. Baizhu holds her in his arms
-Can you describe me as precisely as you can what do you see
-I see... People trying to seal me, putting me in the ground...
-And you cannot set yourself free ?
-No, Qiqi nods, and I can't stop to think about it when I try to sleep... Why do I feel that
-Oh, Qiqi, Baizhu holds her closer to him, you had a nightmare
-A night... Mare ?
-It is when you dream, but it is a bad dream
-What is a dream ?
-You see, Baizhu smiles gently, when you sleep, you can see things that are not real, but you can be convinced that they are. That is a dream. They are often good, but sometimes, scary dreams can happens
-Like... The one I got ?
-Yes, Baizhu kiss her hair, and caress her back gently, but don't worry. They will not seal you. You are safe, in your bed, in the Bubu pharmacy
-So... They will not seal me ?
-No. No one will seal you. I promise
She stays in his arms, and holds him tight, with her plushie behind Baizhu's back. After a while, Qiqi feels her eyes closing. Baizhu lies down in the bed, with her, still keeping her in his arms
Qiqi seems to finally fall asleep again, and Baizhu decided, with a warm smile, to keep this zombie close, to reassure her that she is not alone
I am still struggling. These men tries to bury me. I try to scream again :
-Oh, you'll see ! I warned you...
-Seems like an emergency, says a light voice, before a green light starts to go around the men that attacked Qiqi
-Who are you ? Shouts one of the men
-I shall return the question. Why do I hear a little girl screaming ?
-Please, help me... I try to say to that stranger, that I cannot really see
-You... You have heard nothing ! So get out before we become ang...
-Pleasssse, Baizhu, let'sssss attack them !
-This... Your snake is talking ?!
-It's not a snake. It's Changsheng. Now... I let you five seconds to leave this place.
-YOU ! Stop being so... Aaaaagh...
I hear screams of terrors from these men, with them leaving the place. Then, a man with golden glasses, yellow eyes and green hair show himself, with a white snake around his neck. He gently asks to me :
-Who are you ?
-I... Am... Qiqi. I am a zombie, and I... Don't know what to say next
-A zombie ? The man seems to smile... It was the first time, but I feel weird. But in a good way, I am Baizhu, and this is Changsheng... But you are injured ?
-I don't really feel it...
-You have blood on your body. Follow me
I don't really know why, but I nod. He helps me to get out of the hole, and guide me to the city. I feel good
Qiqi holds Baizhu tight. She feels reassured that he is there. Qiqi's debut in the world of dreams is maybe difficult, but with Baizhu around her, she finally starts to have sweet dreams...
