I opened my eyes just to find it still dark outside my window, but something felt strange. I was blessed with not being able to see shit in the dark so all I could smell was the sweat of my bed.
Wait, I never sweat in my sleep, why is there- I reached my arm to turn on my lamp, just to be met with a large lump on the side of my bed. Wait, last night Smart Beavis had confessed his feelings for me, did I…. score?
I turned on the lamp on my nightstand and peeked across the bed, just to be met with Smart Beavis, who was peacefully asleep, with one of his hands resting on my chest.
This meant that… everything from yesterday was real, we were really together now! But…. what if the Supreme Leaders found out? Oh no, they would execute us on the spot, us being defects was one thing, but being a couple would be even worse.
Same-sex relationships were allowed on our planet, but as long as both people were infertile or banned from having children completely. But even with that law, they were mostly looked down upon and were considered “wrong” or “disgusting”.
I’ve felt love towards Smart Beavis for years, and now he feels the same towards me, I cannot lose this. I don’t care for my well-being, but I care for his.
He wanted this relationship and so did I, so I will do everything in my power to keep him happy and safe, and our relationship a secret. I looked down at him again, he looked like an angel as he slept. He felt so cold, yet, so soft at the same time. God, I had not felt his touch since our time… there…
Some fearful questions began to enter my mind
What if he suddenly remembers what happened? What if he recalls the pain we went through? What if it ruins everything we finally have and then he-
My thoughts stopped once I felt movement underneath the covers.
I soon heard a small yawn and felt pressure on my shoulder. I was met with a sweet, berry-like scent as snoring began to emit from where one side of my face was. No, I shouldn’t worry now, he’s here, and he’s comfortable.
I took a peek under the covers just to be met with Smart Beavis’ head on my shoulder, I leaned down a bit to give him a soft kiss on his lips. like what we would observe in the human movies whenever we had the chance. He was curled up next to me and his body seemed to warm up after I kissed him.
Maybe when he woke up, we could sit close to each other and observe middle-aged Beavis and Butt-Head for our amusement, and talk about their humorous attempts to do basic things such as opening a jar.
“..I…” A sentence began to form in my vocal cords but it felt hard to get out… “hard”… that was quite droll of me. I took a glance at my new lover once last time, and the sentence left my mouth.
“I love you.”
I covered my mouth quickly and stood frozen for a minute or two, I didn’t know it was possible for me to say that, especially this early into our relationship.
I slowly dimmed the light on the lamp and embraced Smart Beavis, nearly smothering him right before kissing him again on the lips.
Suddenly, Smart Beavis’ eyes snapped open.
I quickly flinched before pulling away and covering my face. He stared at me for a few minutes before opening his mouth to speak.
“My apologies, Smart Butt-Head, I should have told you that I was conscious starting from when you first kissed me. I appreciate you showing affection towards me, so I feel I should do the same.” He took my hands off my face before kissing me, but not pulling away until about 2 minutes and 32 seconds into the kiss. I stared at him before speaking.
“I believe we should go back to resting, you may be allowed to sleep close to me, or even on me if you would desire that.” He nodded in agreement before turning off my lamp and laying his whole body onto mine, with his face 1.8 inches away from my own. I took this opportunity to kiss him again.
I enjoyed kissing, it just felt like instinct to me now.
After a while of fighting over who would give the last kiss, Smart Beavis fell asleep, but not before whispering one last sentence in my ear.
“I love you too…”
I shut my eyes and began to drift off as well, I felt like the whole universe was gracing me in this moment.
Everything was fine, everything will be good from now on…
