Chapter Text

Issei was not having a good day, first he was cheated on and betrayed by the ones he love, then for an additional kick to the nuts that his own parents decided to disown him! Issei just sat down on the bench (with bags full of his clothes, a laptop and it's charger and wired mouse, a PS5 and PS4 and video games as he took them undetected) unable to process what happened.

That way no one can bother us again, plus those cheating betraying bastards will get what's coming to them anyway!]" Ddraig yelled with clear amusement. "Now the problem is...how do i make a portal without getting detected?" wondered Issei with a look full of worry.

"I can help with that. You said a portal right?" asked a mysterious man walking towards Issei. "Yeah. I want to get out of this world. Can you help me?" asked Issei expectantly. "No prob. Here, this portal leads you to Planet Gaia, it's similar to Earth but it's culture is slightly medieval but there's some technological advanced places." replied the mysterious man while opening a dimensional portal. "Thanks...and who are you?" asked Issei before entering the portal to Gaia.

"...I'm just a passing through dimensional traveler. Remember that!" replied the mysterious man with a smirk. "Oh okay, and thanks for giving me a new life!" thanked Issei entering the portal and as soon as Issei entered the portal it closed on it's own.

"Good thing you decided to leave this world Issei Hyodou, because someone's released the barrier containing Trihexa, for once i'm not gonna destroy this world, this world can destroy itself because of one redhead's stupid idea and one family's fatal mistake. Heh. Have fun Issei, may your new life on Gaia be full of love and comedy." chuckled the man who was none other than...Tsukasa Kadoya a.k.a. Kamen Rider Decade the destroyer of worlds.

"Well, i guess i better leave this soon to be hellhole soon. Trihexa's about to rampage. You done fucked up Rias Gremory, your mistake of cheating and betraying the man you love shall end in your demise. The night was only filled with small sounds...sounds that would lead to the complete damnation of Rias and everyone else, by betraying Issei, they signed their death warrants of damnation. And Trihexa was now released from the barrier from an unknown person. 

But that didn't matter to Issei or Ddraig, for their new life in a new planet had begun.

Chapter Text

1. Issei Hyodou

After the defeat of Trihexa and being betrayed and cheated on the ones he loved and being disowned by his family. Issei along with Ddraig decides to make a new start in a new planet thanks to a mysterious man. There he realizes that this world is full of monster girls and realizes that a great adventure beyond his wildest imagination before him awaits. Issei despite his emotional hangups, is the strongest Red Dragon Emperor to ever exist and can even go beyond than that.

2. Viola the Crimson Fatalis (OC)

A monsterized Crimson Fatalis who escaped to the world of monster girls who seeks to find a proper mate, by a twist of fate and stroke of luck she meets Issei and soon finds herself in an adventure she never expected. She might be a haughty high and mighty dragoness, but she truly loves and cares for her mate Issei and her new allies and friends. She also fills the role of a sister to James who had sister issues.

3. James Kyuzashikawa (OC)

A young man who encounters Issei and Viola during their journey. He along with his companion Nineball came from another dimension and want to get revenge on the ones who attacked the facility in his home dimension and presumably killed his father. James doesn't look like it, but he is a master survivalist and monstrously skilled pilot that even Issei in Diabolos Dragon found himself on the ropes. James can be quite skilled in strategizing and planning and has a knack for cunning trickery.

4. Nineball (you heard that right! a Nineball who is heroic!)

A sentient A.I. placed in an Armored Core or AC for short who accompanies James on their journey with Issei and Viola. Nineball is equipped with state of the art technology: heat seeking missiles, advanced targeting system, special scanning system, KARASAWA laser rifle, linear pulse laser rifle, Moonlight laser blade, armor piercing rounds, custom assault rifle with an added flamethrower attachment, foldable shoulder mounted bazooka that can double as a grenade launcher, explosive shells, AC sized submachine guns, Overboost, Quickboost and chest mounted turret. Much like James, he also wants revenge on the ones who attacked the facility and killed his creators (James' father presumably being one of them). Despite his lack of tact or being blunt and sometimes being rude when it comes to words, Nineball genuinely cares for James and his new allies.

"Man this place seems nice, though the sky is kinda purple tinged." commented Issei looking at his surroundings. "[Agreed partner, this place looks beautiful for a new life. "Ddraig!" yelled Issei charging all four cannons as the chest section of the Scale Mail opened to reveal another cannon which also began to charge. "[Copy! "You'll have to do better than that." growled the young man as Issei resumed fire with several Dragon Shots as the red mecha quickly evaded them with extremely fast dashes to the sides, front and back. 'It dodged them quickly!? what kind of mecha is that!?' thought Issei in shock as the red mecha fired a salvo of missiles from it's missile launcher mounted on the right shoulder.

"AUGGHHH!!!" Issei could groan in pain as several of the missiles hit their mark. "80% of the missiles hit. At least i'm learning." commented the red mecha immediately narrowly dodging a fireball from from an enraged Viola, "You'll pay for that!" she screamed as she launched more fireballs as the red mecha dodged them repeatedly and fired his beam gun again to disperse some shots. "Nineball, use the KARASAWA!" yelled the young man in urgency. "No need to tell me twice!" yelled the red mecha pulling out another gun from it's back. The other gun looked very different.

"Let's see if you can dodge this!" yelled the red mecha as it fired the KARASAWA at Viola who dodged but the laser was able to do some damage to her tail. "Agh!" Viola winced in pain as the red mecha slammed it's fist into her which sent her flying into a tree. "Viola! you'll pay for that!" screamed Issei in rage while glowing a red aura. "Ddraig! let's show this red tin can who's boss!" growled Issei as the aura grew larger. "[Darn right!]" growled Ddraig in agreement. "Diabolos Dragon!!" both shouted as Issei switched to Diabolos Dragon.

"His armor changed!? Nineball we gotta be careful!" yelled the young man in shock. "No need to tell me twice! If he tries anything, we'll just think of a counter strategy!" replied the red mecha tightening it's grips on it's two beam guns. "Let's see if you can dodge this!" growled Issei firing stronger Dragon Shots as the red mecha began dodging even faster but some got good hits on it. "Urgh!" growled the red mecha after taking several hits. "Nineball!" yelled the young man in concern. "I'm alright, thanks for your concern by the way. Good thing my Primal Armor was switched on before it hit us." replied the red mecha assuringly. "Yeah, but your armor is quite tough. Not even my old AALIYAH could dent you." remarked the young man as the red mecha laughed at his pilot's remark.

"Ddraig, can we fire another Infinity Longinus Smasher?" asked Issei clearly feeling the barrier weaken. "[Well yeah, but in your current state of exhaustion, it won't be as powerful, not to mention the charging time will be longer.]" Ddraig replied clearly worried. "I'll take that chance!" growled Issei charging once more.

"Nineball! he's charging up again!" yelled the young man noticing something. "Yeah, i noticed. I think i have an idea, let's shoot those cannons on the shoulders and the waist and let's smack him while he's disoriented!" commented the red mecha while making a counter strategy. "Good idea! Nineball, aim the pulse beam rifle set to single shot at the four cannons!" ordered the young man preparing to press the trigger. "Copy that James." replied the red mecha taking aim.

"Fire!" the red mecha heard his pilot's shout and fired at the four cannons in quick succession which caused them to explode. "He fired at the cannons!?" yelled Issei shocked as he stunned state made him wide open to attack. "NOW!" yelled the red mecha using a Quickboost towards Issei and gave him a strong punch that knocked the winds out of his lungs. "GUAH!!!" gasped Issei in pain as he fell to the ground and the red mecha immediately stomped it's foot on him to make sure he didn't move. "Now don't move! Or i'll blow you to nothing!" screeched the red mecha aiming it's pulse beam rifle at Issei. "AC? what's that?" asked Issei confused. "AC is short for Armored Core. mechas that some people like myself pilot. I don't want him to die!" i begged as Nineball entered the portal. "I promise! I will keep your father safe! Until then...protect Nineball and the data of Project Nineball no matter what!" promised Lord Arceus as we fell into the portal.

POV Flashback end

"And that's how we got here." said James finishing his narration. "But your dad...is he okay?" asked Viola worriedly. "I don't know...for now he's presumed deceased...but i won't believe that he's dead...Lord Arceus promised me that he'll keep dad safe...but once we head back to my world...i'm gonna kill, no slaughter those bastards apart!" James shrieked in rage. "Same here too! All those people who worked on me were innocent people! I'm going to make sure those terrorist bastards pay with their lives!" snarled Nineball slamming his fist to the ground. "I don't want my family to broken further..." muttered James who started crying. "Where is your mother then?" asked Issei curiously. "...She disappeared when i was 14...since then dad became more focused on his research...which is Project Nineball..." James replied bitterly.

"......" Viola wordlessly hugged James who just cried even more. "You must have it rough don't you? it's alright...let your sorrow pour..." whispered Viola rubbing James's hair as he just cried. "Thanks...you gave me a sisterly hug when none of them would..." muttered James in Viola's embrace. "Your sisters must be jerks huh?" asked Issei peeved a bit. "Kinda, they don't show it, but they're nice...but we don't get along most of the time." muttered James breaking away from Viola's hug. "Don't worry about them for time being. You have a revenge to fulfil right?" asked Issei seriously. "Yeah. me and Nineball's revenge is more important. But for the time being, mind if i stick around you guys?" replied James wiping his tears away.

"Why not? we need more company." said Viola with a smile. "Great! Oh it seem that the soup is ready! Get your bowls, and let's eat!" chuckled James knowing he found new friends and allies.

-several minutes later-

"Can we have some more!?" asked both Issei and Viola with sparkling eyes, awed by the flavor of James' chicken noodle soup. "Aw shucks guys, but we all ate it up! Sorry!" apologized James sheepishly. "Aw man!" complained Issei knowing that the soup was too good to last! "Maybe next time, we need to go the next town to get a job, since we don't have money." said James carrying the pot, bowls and spoons to the river for washing. "Good idea, but we got to be careful. Since the Order is against all monsters, it's best that we need to keep Viola safe." commented Issei as James grimly nodded. "Don't worry about me, i'm quite good at hiding. Besides, the order won't find if i'm not with you guys." replied Viola assuringly. "Even so...we need to be careful..." added Nineball serious.

-after washing the bowls, spoons and the pot and packing them in one of James' bags-

"Alright, shall we go to a town or a city?" asked James slinging a bag on his shoulder. "Let's." replied the rest as Nineball nodded in response. "Alright, let's go find a place where we can be hired!" grunted James as the four walked towards to a new beginning and a new adventure. One where their very presences will change the fate of Planet Gaia forevermore.

As the four were walking, a signpost which they missed said: go north of this road and you will head for the kingdom of Lescatie. They were in for a big start and an even bigger journey that lied ahead of them.

Author's notes: Finally at last, James and Nineball have made their explosive debut! Now the four are headed for the kingdom of Lescatie. what kind of things will they see while getting work?. But for now, let's go see what happened to Earth after Issei had left. Find out in the next chapter. Until then, see you all later.

Chapter Text

-note: this chapter is set sometime during Issei and Viola's first encounter-

Rias was not having a good day, first she kept getting nasty looks from Sona and the Sitri peerage, plus a fallen angel mumbled: 'cheating skanks, hope you die' and her boyfriend Drew hasn't called in weeks! "Damn it...why hasn't he called yet!?" growled the redhead unawared that today was her day of reckoning. "Rias! Have you heard!?" yelled Akeno entering the ORC's room. "What is it? I'm thinking here!" growled Rias annoyed that her thinking was cut. "No time for that now! Trihexa...Trihexa's seal is broken! It's rampaging in the underworld!" Akeno explained while running out of breath. "What!? is my brother okay!? Scratch that! Let's go there quick!" yelled Rias as Akeno nodded and got the rest of the ORC (execpt Rossweisse who was in Valhalla while Ravel was in the underworld and was unaware that Issei left) and headed for the underworld via a magical circle.

By the time they got to the Underworld, Trihexa had broken from it's seal and was rampaging and destroying several buildings and blasting several hapless devils who got in it's way. "Grrraarrrrghhhhh!!!" roared the beast as it blasted the Great Council with a blast of it's breath! "We need to stop it's rampage! Why aren't we getting any backup!?" asked Rias getting aggravated that no one was helping them, some of the fleeing devils gave them hateful looks while one muttered 'How dare you cheat on the Red Dragon you skank!' while another snarled: 'I hope you get banished to Cocytus!'. "Why does everybody keep glaring at us that way!?" asked an annoyed Akeno starting to have a bad feeling in her gut.

"I believe i can answer that." said a man emerging from a portal while Trihexa was being repelled by various high ranking devils. The man's outfit consisted of a black suit with two buttons, but the most striking and notable was that he had a magenta buttoned t-shirt underneath, and a magenta two lensed camera hanging on his neck. "And you are?" asked Rias feeling dread and fear. The man just smirked at them despite it was a small one.

Koneko felt fear from that man's small smirk. 'Why do i feel like that smirk feels malicious?' thought the terrified nekoshou as the man cleared his throat. "Name's Tsukasa Kadoya, please to meet you Rias Gremory. Not." greeted Tsukasa in a sardonic and sarcastic manner. "What business do you have with us!? we have a beast to stop! and why are you smirking!?" yelled Rias angrily as Tsukasa's smirk grew bigger. "Because...no one's going to help you. Plus...not even Grigori or Heaven's going to help you cheating skanks!" explained Tsukasa while snarling the last part of his sentence.

"Ch-cheating? i-i-i don't know what you're talking about..." mumbled Rias in fear. "You heard me period head. You whores cheated on my friend Issei, remember that you guys kept getting glares from everyone?" sneered Tsukasa narrowing his eyes at the ORC. "Ye-yeah? What of it!?" asked Akeno getting scared. "Well let's just say...someone leaked your 'activities' with your boyfriends plus the idea to have Mr and Mrs Hyodou disown their son in place of you girls being adpoted in their family. That's the reason why you've been getting glared at and also being badmouthed behind your backs." replied Tsukasa with a malicious smirk. "It was you!? Then why!? Why did you do this!?" screamed Xenovia in horror. "Because, Issei did so much for you all and despite everything he did, you throw him like trash! Fools like you don't deserve his love, not after what you did." sneered Tsukasa with a frown.

"Wh-where is he? wh-where is Issei now?" asked Akeno wanting to know where Issei was. "I'm not telling you whores where he is. But i'll give a window to where he is and what he's doing now." said Tsukasa with an evil smirk as he opened a dimensional window which showed Issei...having sex with someone the ORC didn't know, and it was Viola.

The shock on the cheaters' faces was a gold mine to Tsukasa who smirked even more. 'I'll save the best for last, for now all they need is to digest the information and i'll strike after they're down' thought Tsukasa smirking.

"Who the hell is that bitch having sex with my Issei!?" roared Rias in hypocritical outrage. "YOUR Issei? Didn't you betray and cheat on him? So why would he be your Issei?" asked Tsukasa with a smirk. "Bu-bu-but..." Akeno stammered as her sanity began to slip down the slope. "Ever since you whores decided to cheat on him, he cast aside his dream of being 'Harem King', in fact, i heard their conversation after they fought. That this monster girl you called a bitch promised to never betray or hurt Issei and faithfully be by his side forever. Something you failed to do by cheating on him." added Tsukasa with a grin. "You lie! Issei would never cheat on us!" yelled Xenovia as Tsukasa just scoffed at the knight's words. "Big words coming from a cheater like you. Didn't you cheat on him right? Besides all you care is wanting strong kids from a strong guy, but Issei failed your expectations so you cheated on him with another guy." snorted Tsukasa as Xenovia was rendered silent by the man's words.

"Leave her alone!" yelled Rias angrily as Tsukasa scoffed. "Honestly if Issei knew earlier on that you were all hypocritical selfish and backstabbing whores, he would have just been brokenhearted but would move on with a different love. But nooooooo! You had just had to do all of that sometime after Trihexa was sealed! He broke his back protecting and saving you all, and this is all the thanks you give him!? Screw you lot!" shouted Tsukasa furious. "And one more thing, before the seal was starting to break, i told just about everyone you guys know, so don't bother." added Tsukasa with a smirk knowing one of them would ask. "Wh-what d-d-d-do you mean by that?" stammered Akeno as Tsukasa smiled malevolently, 'Hook, line and sinker.' thought the destroyer triumphantly.

"Well...while in the seal, i showed the leaders the footage i took. The same with the redhead's parents, then your father Baraquiel. Guess what the old crow said? I don't have a daughter, my daughter died the day my wife died. And the redhead's parents disowned her too and made her nephew the new heir, even her brother disowned her. The nekobrat's sister did the same thing too. The bluenette was excommunicated and exiled. In other words...you all got disowned just because you cheated on Issei plus making the idea of diswoning him just so you can get adopted by his parents!!!" explained Tsukasa with sadistic glee.

"You're lying! They wouldn't do that!" screamed Rias as Tsukasa held a voice recorder and pressed play which made the ORC freeze in horror realizing that Tsukasa was telling the truth. "It's true...hahh...hahh...AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!" mumbled Akeno before breaking into a fit of hysterical laughter mixed with hysterical sobbing. "Well look's like the half-breed crow snapped." commented Tsukasa as the laughing/sobbing Akeno starting walking towards...where Trihexa was. "Akeno! Stop her!" screamed Rias as Xenovia just slumped to her knees in despair while Kiba and Gasper walked away into another circle. "Kiba! Gasper! where are you both going!?" asked Rias in horror as the two gave their former king a cold indifferent look. "We traded our pieces to join Lady Serafall's peerage. We're longer part of your peerage. And one last thing before we leave...we also helped Tsukasa with the recording too." replied Kiba coldly as he and Gasper threw their pieces at their former king and left via the Leviathan magic circle. "NOOOOO!!!!" screamed Rias in despair. "Oi, aren't you going to save your friend?" mocked Tsukasa as he pointed towards the insane Akeno as Trihexa was already on the path.

"Koneko! Help me!" begged Rias as the nekoshou sat there but she reluctantly stood up. "Good luck." mocked Tsukasa as Rias and Koneko rushed to save the laughing and sobbing Akeno. "And as for you missy, you don't deserve this sword. Durandal needs a noble knight to wield this, yet you committed an ignoble crime. You don't deserve it." sneered Tsukasa taking Durandal away from Xenovia's back. "Well then, i guess my mission to break the ORC is a success. I couldn't even do it without another ally besides from the two." chuckled Tsukasa as he created a dimensional portal. "What ally?" asked Xenovia in a hollow voice. "Just between you and me, He can stop time, that saved me a lot of time explaining to the leaders about your actions. Plus he guided me where you cheating skanks are through his power to see the future. He told me the exact date when Trihexa's seal would fail. The Issei going to another world on the other hand was all me." explained Tsukasa with a smug smirk. "Who is he? The one who helped you?" asked Xenovia slowly falling further to despair. "The Kindest Demon King of Time and Space. That's all i can tell you." replied Tsukasa as he entered the dimensional portal leaving Xenovia alone who wept tears of despair.

"This is all just a dream! Just a dream! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!" laughed Akeno madly having lost her sanity from the reveal that her father disowned her and because of that. it made her lose her reason to live. "Akeno! Akeno!!" screamed Rias but it was too late. Trihexa spotted Akeno and with a low growl the beast of the apocalypse fired a breath of white hot flames that homed in on Akeno. "AKENOOOOO!!! NOOOOO!!!" screamed Rias as Akeno was engulfed in the white hot flames while laughing and crying maniacally. "HEHEHEHEHE...AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!" laughed Akeno as the flames burnt her to a crisp. Soon Trihexa stopped it's breath leaving the charred corpse of Akeno whose face was frozen in that expression of maniacal laughter and crying.

"AKENOOOOO!!!!" screamed Rias in despair as her own sanity began to slip. "No!" screamed Koneko lunging towards Trihexa, only for it to send her flying into an abandoned house breaking all of her bones upon impact. "Koneko..." sobbed Rias as she watched helplessly as Trihexa fired another breath of white hot flame. 'Senpai...i'm sorry...i only did that because i was pressured to do it...i'm sorry senpai...i'm truly sorry...maybe in another life where i can be reborn...i'll never leave you ever again...senpai, no Issei...i love you...' thought a remorseful Koneko who never wanted to betray Issei and hated herself for it as the flames engulfed her but this time unlike Akeno, there was no trace of the nekoshou...just ash.

"Koneko...everyone...hehehehehehehe...ahahahahahaha...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" laughed Rias as her sanity finally hit rock bottom. "Issei...where are you!? Come back to me! I'll do anything for you just to forgive me! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!" screamed Rias as her face became more and more crazed. "Where are you!? this must be a dream...just a dream! I'm still his girlfriend and we're all living in peace!! EHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEEE...AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!" laughed Rias as Trihexa charged another fire breath and blasted the insane disowned Gremory who kept laughing. "Issei...Issei...ISSEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!" screamed Rias as her body was burnt to a crisp leaving only nothing but a corpse with an insane expression.

Trihexa roared as it escaped to the real world and rampaged across Europe and wrecked several places including important churches before heading to Kuoh through teleportation and resumed it's rampage and killing several people before being restrained on the school grounds.

"This is bad! What do we do!?" asked Saji in Malbolge Vritra Promotion. "This might kill us, but Saji use your Absorption Line and transfer Trihexa's energy to me while i Divide it's energy for one hit kill." replied Vali in a grim tone as he transformed into his own variant of Diabolos Dragon. "You got it! Issei had done so much for us...even if it kills us...let's lay down our lives to stop the beast!" yelled Saji using Absorption Line to absorb titanic amounts of Trihexa's power which cause him immense agony but powered on and transferred the energy to Vali who Divided a huge amount of the beast's energy while in agony as well. "Blaze...Black...Flame...OVERDRIVE!!" gasped Saji as he ignited Trihexa with the flames of Vritra while using his life force to empower the flames. "(Vali! Use it now!!!)" shouted Albion as Vali gritted his teeth and with all of his demonic and life energies combined with the energy he absorbed. Vali let loose one last attack. Which was enough to destroy the beast in one shot:

Omega Satan Lucifer Smasher!!!!

"GRRRAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!" Trihexa screamed as Vali fired the attack which obliterated the beast to the point that not even atoms remained. "We...did...it...we...killed...the...beast..." gasped Saji forcibly detransformed and on the verge of death. "Heh...we sure did...Hyodou...sorry for not being there for you when you needed true friends the most...heh...i said it...you're my friend..." laughed Vali weakly as they were approached by...Tsukasa himself.

"Hey...who the heck are you?" asked Saji in pain. "A friend of Issei." Tsukasa replied somberly. "Really? Hey...where's Hyodou now? Is he okay?" asked Vali in pain. "He's doing alright. He's happy in the planet i sent him to. So you don't need to worry. I'll tell him when i visit him." assured Tsukasa with a sad smile. "Glad to hear that. Hey Hyodou...if you hear me...get stronger, not just for my sake...but that planet and whoever you meet...Hyodou...i'm glad to be you friend...sorry if i wasn't there...Hyodou...good luck wherever you are. Albion, go find a better host than me...if you get a new host...make sure he or she doesn't end up like me..." wheezed Vali in pain. "(Vali...even if i find another host...i will always consider you to be one of the finest hosts i've never had...but i promise you...i'll make sure that my new host will surpass you in every way...but you will always be my first friend...)" wept Albion knowing that Vali was dying. "Same here too...Vritra, go find somebody better than me okay? Issei...take care...Kaichou, sorry for making you mad one last time...heh. it was fun." Saji wheezed while in pain. "{Saji...yes, i'll do as you asked. But Saji...you were truly a host that made me proud. Never forget that.}" whispered Vritra in grief. "Hey mister...if you see Issei again...tell him what we said...pass on our messages...please promise us..." gasped Vali as Tsukasa held their hands while nodding silently. "Hyodou...i'm glad that despite our rivalry...you were my first friend..." whispered Vali as he breathed his last. "Issei...you take care now...Kaichou...go find a better man than me...heh. it was fun..." added Saji as he too breathed his last as Tsukasa slowly got up and saluted them.

"You two...you were truly Issei's friends until the end..." whispered Tsukasa as two spheres of light emerged from Vali and Saji's bodies, it was Albion and Vritra in their respective Sacred Gears. "So what will you two do now?" Tsukasa asked to the two dragons. "(I'm going to take a long rest. After all what's happened...I don't think i'm the mood to find a new host...for now...i've got to sleep...)" replied Albion as he entered a slumber as the sphere's glow died down. "{Same here too. I've got a favor to ask, when the time comes, can you bring us to where Issei is?}" asked Vritra somberly. "Sure, why not. Issei would also need to talk to you guys as well." replied Tsukasa with a bittersweet smile. "{That's good to hear, right now...all i gotta do is sleep for the time being...}" mumbled Vritra as he too entered slumber as the light from the sphere died down as well. "*sigh* Better hand them over to the Grigori for now, To make sure that no one uses them for evil." sighed Tsukasa sadly as he left for Grigori.

Many innocent lives were lost during Trihexa's rampage, among them was Miki Hyodou, Issei's former mother. Soon later after the damage repair to Kuoh, The four maous used hypnosis to make the public believe that was a bomb that caused the incident. Meawhile the angels took care of what happened in Europe, though the devils had to resort to memory wipe to make sure that the supernatural wasn't exposed. Afterward, Gorou, Issei's former father was confronted by an enraged Sirzechs who told him about what Rias had done. Gorou was not only filled with shame and remorse, he ended up disowning his son for nothing, a few days later he hanged himself in his home out of grief and shame and left one final letter for Issei should he ever return. Azazel kept the letter so that no one would take it while mourning Vali's death and making sure that no one steals the Divine Dividing and the Vritra Sacred Gear set and burying himself in his work.

Saji was given a proper funeral and was mourned by all. Serafall was so distraught from everything that happened and stepped down from being maou resulting in Sona taking her sister's place as the new maou Leviathan. Sona proved to be just as good as her sister, if not even better than her. "I may handle two things which is college and my sister's position as maou, but this is nothing i can handle." said the Sitri heiress turned maou. Vali was also given a proper funeral and was given a statue in his honor. The inscription said: 'In honor of the last Lucifer who saved us all'. Vali would have been embarrassed, but he would accept it nonetheless.

Kiba and Gasper were doing fine in Serafall's peerage, but both wished for the day for Issei to return.

Irina was stripped of her angel status and was disowned by her parents and suffered a psychotic break and was institutionalized in a mental ward and is clearly living in a fantasy where they never betrayed Issei and are living in peace.

Xenovia was punished and imprisoned in the underworld and exiled by the church and ultimately hanged herself out of sheer despair a few days later, but not before leaving a letter for Issei.

Asia was so distraught from the revelation and was so exhausted from healing many injured devils, angels and fallen (she wasn't aware of what the cheaters did) and fell into a coma, her sacred gear along with some medics are keeping her alive until the day Issei returns.

Ravel was upset at what happened and wished for the day for Issei to return.

Roseweisse was completely shocked by the revelation and drowned her sorrows in alcohol. She had to quit her teaching duties out of sheer sorrow and prayed for the day Issei came back. (she became a full valkyrie again after her pieces were removed to make sure that she cut off ties with the idiot Rias)

The underworld missed Issei greatly and was given a statue at some point. Later on, Millicas became the new heir of the Gremory clan in place of his disowned aunt who was remebered and vilified as a monster who ruined the underworld.

Everyone greatly missed Issei, all because of the cheaters they ultimately drove away the man who helped unite all three factions...Many hoped that Issei would be fine, but Tsukasa assured them that Issei's okay. He's just not ready to return just yet. For now Issei would have to heal in Planet Gaia with his new love Viola and his new friends James and Nineball.

And as for the cheaters? Their reputations was permanently ruined, and they were ultimately remembered as fools who broke the heart of the Red Dragon Emeperor. May their souls be burning in oblivion. (Well execpt for Koneko who deeply regretted it)

Author's notes: Whew, finally completed this chapter. This chapter shows what happened after Issei had left. The cheaters were punished and some of them dead and their reputations ruined. The next chapter will feature our heroes heading for the Theocracy of Lescatie to find work and unfortunately for them, it's a kingdom associated with the Order who hates all monster girls and that includes Viola. How it will turn out while keeping Viola safe from the Order? Find out in the next chapter. Until then, see you all later.

"So that's the place we're headed." James commented upon seeing a city with a castle. "Yeah, according to some sources. This is the Theocracy of Lescatie. A kindgom associated with...the Order of the Chief God." replied Nineball slowing at the last of part of his sentence. "You mean the organization that hates monsters and the Demon Lord who is responsible for the state of this world? shit." Issei cursed in dismay. "Well...there is a cave west of us, i'll go hide there for the time being. You boys in the meantime better get some work." commented Viola pointing a cave west of them.

"Yeah. Nineball, stay in a certain part of the forest until i have you called over. Copy?" ordered James a bit worried. "Copy that." replied Nineball as the three headed for the kingdom while Viola headed for the cave. 'Please be alright all of you...' thought Viola with worry as she looked at their retreating forms.

"Halt! State your business!" called a guard as James and Issei approached (Nineball hid per to James' instructions). "Uhh...we came looking for work." said James a bit nervous. "Hmmm...well since we need more men...alright we'll let you both pass. The place to get recruited is in the church." hummed the guard letting them pass. "Thank you sir." mumbled Issei relieved. "Come on." muttered James as he and Issei entered the kingdom and headed for the church.

-Church of the Chief God, Lescatie Branch-

"Hmmm...so you are the two young men seeking recruitment eh?" asked a priest which made Issei on edge as he rememebered some foul priests in the past (Freed and Valper the pricks). "Yes we are. We're finding work as mercenaries sir." James replied with an icy edge to his voice. "Hmmm...judging from your looks... you look like you've seen combat. Very well then. I shall have you two recruited as mercenaries. Quite the extra muscle we need to defeat the evil Demon Lord." commented the priest while looking at James and Issei. "Thank you sir. We'll do the tasks we are needed to do as long as it concerns mamono." said James thankful. "Ah don't worry. Mamono will be your concerns. No assasinations as they are a different work." commented the priest while making light of his words.

'I don't like this guy Ddraig' said Issei telepathically while frowning. '[Me too partner. His aura exudes...shadiness, a lot of it. We better keep to ourselves if we need more info.]' replied Ddraig telepathically while voicing his disdain as well. "But before we start our work. Mind if i bring my friend Nineball?" asked James hoping Nineball would be accepted. "Nineball? Such an odd name, what does he look like?" asked the priest curious. "We need to get out of the church first. He's too big for the place." said James as they went out.

"You both stay here. I'll go outside the gates." James instructed as he ran. "Your friend is quite the odd fellow." commented the priest. "More like acquintance. We just met a few hours ago." replied Issei bluntly. "Ahhhh..." said the priest a bit sheepish.

"Hey guard? If you see a large metallic red titan. That's Nineball." James said to guard while giving Nineball the green signal via a hidden earpiece. "Alright." replied the guard a bit confused.

-several minutes later-

Soon Nineball emerged from the horizon which made the guard stammer. "A-a-a-are yo-yo-you Nineball?" asked the stammering guard. "Yes sir. That's me." replied Nineball with a salute. "Y-y-y-you may enter sir..." stammered the guard as Nineball flew over the gate instead as it was too small for him. "You saw that!?" asked the guard to another guard who nodded in shock. "I think i better stop drinking. My wife's been nagging me to quit. Guess today's a lucky day." commented another guard in shock.

-in front of the church-

"Here he is sir." said James as Nineball landed in front of them. "My word! What is that thing!?" asked the priest in fright. "I'm not a thing sir. My name is Nineball." replied Nineball offended. "How did you get him anyway!?" asked the priest in fright. 'Well, i better make a believable lie.' thought James a he took a deep breath. "I found him in a ruin very far from here sir. Nineball was made by an ancient civilization long extinct. Nineball was the last of their creations. so i activated him and the rest is history." said James making a believable lie. "Hmmm...is that so? That means we cannot mass produce him?" asked the priest with a small glint in his eye which Issei and James subtly noticed. "No sir. All of the data and papers used to build him are all destroyed. So we'll have to make do." replied James a bit bluntly. "*sigh* such a shame. Guess we cannot do anything about it. Now...what shall you mercenaries shall be called?" sighed the priest a bit upset.

"Hmmm...How about 'The Ravens' sir?" suggested James while having a small nostalgic tone. "Hmmm...seems a good name. Henceforth the three of you shall be known as 'The Ravens'. I shall inform my daughter Wilmarina and the squad she leads while also informing Commander Merse about you three." said the priest with a nod. "Thank you sir." thanked James as they nodded. "Now head for the barracks and i'll inform you three of your tasks with the soldiers there. Good day." said the priest with a bow as the three headed for the barracks.

-entrance to the barracks-

"Oi, Issei it seems we have sleeping person here." commented James pointing a sleeping red headed young man. "What are you going to do?" asked Issei a bit wary. "This." said James kicking the young man in the left side of his gut. "OW! hey what's the big idea!?" yelled the young man kicked in the side. "We're the new guys recruited here. I'm taking you're one of the soldiers?" asked James unapologetic. "Yeah. Name's Elt by the way." introdued Elt with a bit of hostility to his voice.

"Sorry about kicking you. Why you sleeping anyway?" asked James a bit peeved. "It's been my problem since my young adult years, they say it's low blood pressure or something." Elt replied yawning a bit. "Huh. After we're done meeting the rest. I'm going to train you to avoid that problem." said James with a shake of his head. "Sure. By the way, your names?" asked Elt curious. "My name is Issei Hyodou and the slightly rude guy is James Kyuzashikawa, and the red metallic giant you see is Nineball." introduced Issei sheepishly. "Sorry, about kicking you earlier. But i don't like soldiers sleeping on the job." explained James feeling a bit guilty since he kicked a guy with a small cureable condition. "I'll try to improve." muttered Elt bitterly. 'Something tells me that he has quite the past.' thought James to himself as the four headed for the barracks. "Is it me or there's a shortcut to the slums?" asked Nineball noticing a beggar in an alleyway.

"Yeah...we have problems with the current way life here in Lescatie. If you live in the slums, it's the rule of the dagger and the strongest that is law there. None of us can't do anything about though." Elt replied sadly while shaking his head.

"Wha!? But why!?" Issei asked in shock. "You see, the government is lead by corrupt people not our king as anyone would believe. In fact...Wilmarina's dad is one of the ruling members of the government." explained Elt unhappily. "Wilmarina's...dad? You mean the priest?" asked Nineball letting the information process in his mind. "Yep. The priest you three talked to earlier was Wilmarina's father. I kinda have a small grudge towards him." Elt replied while gripping his fists. "I see...whatever happened in the past involving you and Wilmarina must've been bad enough to warrant a small grudge." mused James thoughtfully. "You got me there. Oh, we're at the barracks now." mumbled Elt and the four was at last at the barracks.

"Hey guys!" Elt called for the other soldiers, "We got new recruits!" a bunch of soliders came rushing outside. "Hey! Those guys look pretty tough despite their looks. I like them already!" commented a solider with a toothy grin. "Where's Commander Mersé?" asked Elt to another soldier. "She's being informed like the rest of us. Say, can you introduce these guys to us?" replied another solider with a chuckle. "Name's James Kyuzashikawa and this is Issei Hyodou and the red giant you see behind us is Nineball." introduced James a bit formally. "Hello. Pleased to meet you all." greeted Nineball waving his hand. "Speaking of which, when's the commander coming back?" asked Issei curiously. "She'll be back in a few minutes, you'll know her when you see her. She's got an eyepatch." Elt replied with a sheepish look.

-a few minutes later-

"Ten-Hut!" Yelled a woman with silvery white hair tied up in a semi-bun and hair ornament and held a halberd and wore an eyepatch. "That's the commander? Whoa, she looks tough." commented James in awe mixed with shock.

"Eep. She's tough looking." commented Nineball spooked. "Seriously Nineball?" asked James stumped. "So...you're the three new recuits. Pleased to meetcha, I'm Commander Mersé Dascaros. Just call me the commander if you'd like." greeted Mersé a bit cheerily. "Say ma'am, you really lead this unit?" asked Issei making a semi stupid question. "Dude! The fuck!?" asked James while facepalming. "Seriously Issei? She said she was the commander!" added Nineball annoyed. "Dang right i am kiddo. See my scars? I got them from some fights with mamono." bragged Mersé as Issei felt the urge to be slapped by James who seriously decided to do so.

*SLAP!*

"Ow. Thanks for the slap James." said Issei while rubbing his cheek. "Idiot!" James huffed angrily as Mersé sized him up a bit. "Say that's a nice scarf. And you look like you've seen stuff." commented the one eyed lady commander as she looked at James carefully. "Damn right i do. I did mercernary work before coming here. And i killed my fair share of people. Plus, this ain't the first time i was hired nor the first time i killed." James scowled while making a statement about himself. "Really? How many then?" asked Elt scared. "A lot of them redhead. Too many to fucking count." James replied with a semi-hollow expression. "Alright, that's enough questions! Alright men start training in a few minutes! We don't wanna be the prey of mamono now don'tcha!? Now get to work!" ordered Mersé as the soliders all yelled in response. "Are you going to train Issei?" asked James heading to a spot with a log. "Yeah. I need to improve my hand to hand combat skills." commented Issei sheepishly. "Sure, once i'm done shooting some rocks. Then i'll gladly help out."  chuckled James as Issei went to train by himself.

Mersé then looked at Nineball. "Aren't you goin' to train?" asked the one eyed woman as the sentient Armored Core shook his head. "Nah, i don't need it. I'm already built for combat. And i know how to fight even without James piloting me." retorted the annoyed AC. "Alright then redboy." teased Mersé. "It's Nineball! Sheesh...women." muttered Nineball indiginantly. "Hey Elt! Wanna get some drinks while at it?" asked Mersé as Elt shook his head. "Alright. Then i guess i'll help you with your exercise! Now get that shield and sword up!" commented the one eyed woman as she began to spar with Elt as Nineball watched carefully. "Hey big fella, you just going to watch us?" asked a curious soldier to Nineball. "Yeah. I'd like to see how you guys train and improve, and if any of you would like, i can assist by giving out combat advice." Nineball replied while observing the soldiers. "That sounds nice!" said the same soldier with clear excitement.

"This seems like a good spot. Alright." James mused pulling out a 357. Desert Eagle and loaded it with 357 Magnum bullets.

"Just need to arrange some rocks." James said as he placed some rocks of equal size in a row. "Okay. now then..." whispered James as he took aim at the rocks and pulled the trigger.

*BANG! BANG! BANG!*

James shot three of the rocks and also showed severe damage to them. "Heh. 357 Magnum bullets, always the go-to bullets for serious damage." he chuckled as he shot the rest of the rocks.

"Hey Ddraig, what should i do?" asked Issei while wearing some weighted armbands and gloves. "[First you need to improve your hand to hand combat, you can't just rely on your energy blasts most of the time.]" advised Ddraig as Issei nodded and began punching and kicking the air. "So after that, what next?" Issei asked while making an axe kick followed by a double karate chop. "[We need to do some sit-ups and push-ups and the occasional jogging and letting James help us train.]" replied Ddraig as Issei nodded and resumed training.

"Oi, that's not how you use your broadsword like that." scolded Nineball noticing a soldier sparring against another soldier. "Why so?" asked the confused solider as Nineball carefully adjusted the soldier's stance (yes. and he did that with his fingers). "First your posture screams 'open to attack' and the way you hold your sword above your head is asking for a quick smack to the face. When the enemy strikes hold the broadsword slightly in front of you. Then if the enemy swings first use the crossguard on your sword to block it!" explained Nineball while making some stances and gestures. "Huh, didn't know that." said the same solider in shock. "Alright, now do as i told you to." said Nineball crossing his arms. Soon the soldier did as Nineball instructed to do. "Hey! You're right! I was able to block the blade!" said the solider in shock and glee. "Good, now a piece of advice, when blocking the sword through the crossguard, use your gauntled hand to grab it and yank it off the enemy. Now. Give it a go." instructed Nineball sternly.

Soon the soldier did the same thing as well. "Whoa! That's effective!" said the solider in awe. "Now you have two weapons to use. One last advice, since your hand is protected by the gauntlet. Grab the blade." Nineball instructed causing looks of confusion. "Why?" asked the soldier confused. "Just do as i say, and since your fellow soldier is wearing a helmet, he'll be fine. Now use the sword as an axe!" instructed Nineball as the soldier reluctantly did as he was told and to surprise a small dent was formed on the other soldier's helmet! "By using the sword's crossguard, you have a makeshift axe to use when you need to deal concussive blows to the head or other body parts." explained Nineball to the soldiers. "Thanks for the advice! Those mamono won't see these coming!" said the grateful soldier in gratitude. "You're welcome, now put my advice to good use." said Nineball. "Yes Sir!" said all the soldiers as they resumed training.

"Well i'll be, you actually improved their sword training. Color me impressed." commented Mersé walking towards Nineball. "Thank you commander. I just needed to do what was needed to do. And where's Elt?" explained Nineball humbly while asking a question. "He's currently having a hand to hand combat moment with Issei over there. Say where's James?" asked the one eyed commander looking for James. "Knowing him, he might be busy training himself." Nineball explained as James emerged from the woods behind the barracks and ran towards Issei and Elt.

"James wha-!?" Issei had no time to finish his sentence as James swung his fist and did a sweeping kick which Elt narrowly dodged. "Hey what's the big idea!?" Elt yelled as James smirked at them. "Rule no 1. Never let your guard down when the enemy is about to strike unexpectedly. Suprise attacks will always catch you off guard. So never let your guard down." James explained as he got into a fighting stance. "I see...then...here i go!!" yelled Issei lunging towards James who just grinned and evaded the brunette's punches and countered with several strikes. 'That style of fighting...that's...Krav Maga!? Did James learn that martial art!? And one of the strikes...they were from Judo too! Now i'm really getting pumped!' thought Issei as James did a sidestep followed by a few kicks and elbow strikes. "Ow! That stung!" yelled Elt in pain as James gave him a small twist of the arm. "Martial arts training requires some pain, and trust me...you'll need that pain!" snarled James as he gave Elt a thwacking by using Xingyiquan at the poor redhead. "Xingyiquan!? Oh man...no one's going to be safe if James fights them in a tight corridor!" commented Issei in fright.

"I'm going to like this place. So when's the mission eh boss?" asked James while dodging Issei and Elt's blows. "In five hours or so i guess. So you better prepare yourselves." replied Mersé as James nodded and knocked both opponents down. "Training's over! now get some rest and get ready for a raid on a mamono group that's been spotted a few miles from here!" ordered Mersé as everyone yelled in agreement. "First job on first day eh? Can't wait to get paid." Issei chuckled as he dusted himself while James got Elt up. "You need some training, i'm going to make sure you overcome that sleepiness of yours so be ready!" said James sternly to Elt who gulped and nodded rapidly. "Alright. Let's get a move and let's rest." added Nineball as the three nodded and took a short rest for the following mission.

'Our first battle against mamono...this will be tough...but as long as i've got people to protect...i will find a way to save this world once i've gotten enough info and answers...' thought Issei as he and James sat on flat rocks and drank water and prepared themselves for the upcoming battles in the future. A future where monsterkind and humanity will truly coexist. And to end the status quo that plagued Gaia for millenia once and for all...

Author's notes: finally completed this chapter, now Issei and James finally get themselves recruited as mercenaries and meeting new allies. Now they will begin their first mission as mercenaries and eventually find more information about the Order and The Demon Lord but it won't be that easy for them. How will their first mission along with getting information go? Find out in the next chapter. Until then, see you all later.

(Approximately 4 hours and 40 minutes later)

"Alright, you ready Issei?" asked James finishing loading the bullets of his M4A1 Carbine with Grenade Launcher and Silencer and Scope.

"Yeah, I got Ascalon with me. But you think Elt's okay? He heard that Wilmarina was coming along and he didn't feel good." Issei commented while putting on some gauntlets and greaves and putting Ascalon in a sheath. "That may be true..." James began a bit carefully, "But he needs to remember that this is a mission, he can't screw it up, and the same goes for us as well." finished the gun toting mercenary as Issei nodded and went out the door. "You boys ready?" asked Mersé as the two nodded while Nineball grunted in response. "Alright men! Let's go!" ordered the one eyed lady commander as everyone roared and went out.

-Near the meeting site and the entrance to the mamono hideout-

"Oi! Big brother!!" called a reddish pink haired girl with a wand while approaching the group that consisted of Elt, James, Issei and Nineball. "Who's this brat?" asked Nineball a bit miffed. "That's Mimil, one of the most talented mages of the kingdom. Can't believe she's tagging along." replied Elt while explaining as Mimil approached them.

"Hey! So you're the new recruits?" asked Mimil noticing James and Issei and Nineball. "Yeah? And you are?" asked James a bit unnerved. "Name's Mimil Miltie! Magical girl at your service!" greeted Mimil while Issei had a nostalgic look which didn't go unnoticed by Nineball. "Something on your mind Issei?" asked the sentient Armored Core looking at the wistful Sekiryutei. "Nothing...just reminiscing something..." muttered Issei remembering Serafall and missing her magical girl act. "Hey, mind if i ask you something?" asked James a bit concerned. "Sure! Ask away!" replied Mimil a bit cheerfully. "How old are you?" asked James warily. "She's 12...12 years old...due to her being a prodigy at magic...she was conscripted into being a hero..." explained Elt as James and Issei had looks of horror on their faces.

"WHAT!? TWELVE YEARS OLD!? YOU HAVE GOT TO BE SHITTING ME!!!" screamed James in horrified shock. "But why!? Why would she be a hero at that age!?" added Issei mortified. "Well...it's the law here in Lescatie...if you've got great talent...then you are conscripted into a hero to aid in the crusade of the order...if you're good at magic no matter how old or young you are...you've got no choice..." muttered Elt. "Oi, big brother stop being a sourpuss! I'm fine with it!" scolded Mimil as James wanted to puke. "Oh fucking hell...is there another child soldier amongst your ranks!?" asked the aggravated mercenary while trying not to hurl. "Well...there's Parshe...but she's 2 years older than Mimil." replied Elt as James finally decided to puke behind a bush next to Nineball. "Seriously, this theocracy is fucked up in the head..." mused Nineball angrily. "We can't do anything about it...that's the law here..." Elt sighed sadly as Issei clenched his fists in anger. "[I have never been so disgusted...to think that the Order of the Chief Goddess would stoop this low...it makes my blood boil thinking about it!!!]" snarled Ddraig as Issei was speechless to say anything while James threw up in the bush (and thankfully it's not his lunch).

James finally finished throwing up. "Oh sweet cream corn...let's just get this over with and meet up with the rest!?" the rest nodded and continued their way. 'Magic huh? I better ask the kiddo if she can teach me, i always wanted to try actual magic...' thought James a bit curious on how magic works on Gaia. 'Child soldiers...i can't believe how corrupt Lescatie is! Damn! Not to mention from an offhand comment from Elt is that the heroes are treated as weapons rather than people! This is so fucked up!' thought Issei in dismay and anger. '[I can't believe that Issei's former perverted hobbies would contain such a deep and dark storyline...if MGE's storyline regarding Lescatie is dark on it's own...then it would get possibly darker because of us...i sure hope that the invasion wouldn't happen yet...that mysterious man sure is strange in sending us where works of fiction are reality in different worlds...first Viola came from the world of the Monster Hunters...then James came from a world where humanity created powerful machines called Armored Cores...but there is no such fictional work in our world of Earth...this adventure is going to be weirder than i thought...]' thought Ddraig deep in thought while thinking about about so many things so far...and clearly getting weirded out by it.

(small note: the Armored Core video game series doesn't exist in this universe of DXD, well execpt for the prime universe or several alternate ones)

-at the meeting site-

"Huh? Primera's here too?" wondered Elt seeing an archer in the other group. "Primera? a friend of yours?" asked James curiously. "Yeah, she's a half-elf archer. you can easily tell who she is." replied Elt while pointing to where Primera was.

"Hey! Primera!" called Elt as the five approached the half-elf archer. "Oh, Elt. And you're with Mimil and the three new recruits eh?" asked Primera a bit miffed. "Yeah, glad that you joined us for the attack on the hideout." commented Elt with a chuckle. "Hmph! as if i joined to help you at all idiot!" huffed Primera a bit haughtily. "Tsundere." whispered a snickering James to Issei who snickered in return. "Danm right she is!" added Nineball with a snicker of his own. "Hey! What are you three jerks talking about!?" yelled Primera angrily as James, Issei and Nineball shook their heads. "Nothing!" they all said in unison while stifling their chuckles.

"Hey, what's going on here?" asked Mersé approaching the aggravated Primera while James and Issei were able to contain their chuckles and composed themselves. "Nothing commander. Just meeting new faces that's all." James replied while coughing a bit. "Hmph! I don't like you three new recruits..." sneered Primera while James smirked back. "At the end of the day, you'll come to know us better..." taunted James as he and Issei and Nineball went past the fuming half-elf. "Don't worry Primera, you'll eventually grow to know them." assured Elt sheepishly. "I don't like the way the guy with the odd weapon talked..." commented Mimil a bit wary as James sat on a rock. while Issei stood next to him and Nineball just stood there.

"Hey commander, is Wilmarina part of this group?" asked Elt a bit meek. "Yep. Luciana and Alameria are with her too." Mersé replied with gentle smirk. "Hmmm...he seems a bit wistful regarding this Wilmarina...i've got a ill feeling about this..." commented James with an observant gaze. "What do you mean James?" asked Issei equally observant. "We'll see...for now, let's see this Wilmarina and let's find out why Elt felt wistful..." James explained a bit curious.

(a few minutes later...)

"Is that Wilmarina?" asked James curious upon seeing a girl with white gray hair with a headband. "Yep. The strongest hero in all of Lescatie. That's her alright." replied Mersé with a nod. "Alright...now let's see why Elt feels wistful..." mused James silently. "Hmmm..." hummed Nineball noticing Elt interact with another girl, namely the blonde one with a large sword behind her back while the other blonde in the hat was eyeing Nineball strangely.

"Oi. You in the hat. Stop it. Stop looking at me." called Nineball miffed at the blonde in the hat's stare. "Oi! Don't be mean to Alameria! She's just observing you!" yelled Mimil annoyed by Nineball's words. "Well pardon me missy brat, but i'm not one for politeness! I'm meant to be blunt and rude as possible when i'm peeved! So take it!" snarled a peeved and aggravated Nineball. "Really? A sentient mecha with an attitude and with blunt honesty...man this is getting more interesting..." commented Issei as James sighed and watched and heard a conversation between Wilmarina and Mersé. "Quiet you three. I'm listening on something." shushed James as he began to focus on the conversation between the two women. "Commander Dascaros, why did you include Elt in this?" asked Wilmarina a bit miffed. "Sorry bout that. He kinda wanted to come along and see how the new recruits fight." Mersé replied confidently. "Are you sure? The one with the strange weapon seems untrustworthy, while the brunette...something's off. While that...err...metal titan...i don't have the words." mused Wilmarina somewhat unconvinced. "Trust me. They're special. I just know it." assured Mersé as James nodded to himself and took a deep breath.

"It seems Miss Noscrim is very hesitant to see Elt fight...plus with us being somewhat untrustworthy, plus she's on to Issei about something." mused James thoughtful. "You mean Ddraig and the Boosted Gear?" asked Issei in a whisper. "Yes. Nineball on the other hand...it's complicated." replied James with a nod. "I did hear what she said...she's kinda right, everyone doesn't have the right words to say about me. Not that i give a shit." commented Nineball with a shrug which made Mimil wince at Nineball's words. "Language!" scolded Alameria who approached. "You can't tell me what to do hat bitch!" yelled Nineball angered. "Wow. Nineball's made a friend already." commented Elt a bit sarcastic. "You think?" deadpanned James as Nineball and Alameria started to exchange some barbs at each other.

"Alright that's enough!" yelled Mersé which put a stop to the argument between Alameria and Nineball. "Look, we're about to attack the mamono hideout and you two are arguing like children here!" scolded the one eyed woman annoyed at the two. "Sorry commander..." mused Nineball sheepishly. "*Sigh* Honestly...you need to be a little more nice when it comes to your allies Nineball. And Alameria, please don't give Nineball a headache will you? My goodness..." sighed Mersé pinching the bridge of her nose. "Alright, now here's the plan..." Wilmarina began as she explained on where the mamono hideout was and what to do to make sure they wouldn't lose any soldiers. "Does that sound good to you all?" asked Wilmarina as everyone grunted in agreement. "You three. I'd like to see your combat performance by going first." ordered Wilmarina to James, Issei and Nineball. "Yes ma'am! You won't regret it!" said the three in unison.

-hideout of the mamono, a few minutes later-

"Ugh, when are gonna get out and get some husbands!?" asked an impatient imp while a succubus paced back and forth. "I don't know either, but maybe if some people dumb enough to head here i suppose?" replied the succubus while a hellhound snorted in response. "Hey d'you guys here that!? People outside! We can get some hubbies!" yelled a devil scout. "YIPEE!!!" cheered the mamono unaware it was their last day alive. "Let's get em!" cheered a demon as they all went out.

"Alright, Nineball use the smoke bomb!" James ordered as Nineball threw a smoke bomb while James used a smoke grenade via the grenade launcher attachment on the M4A1. "It's smoke? What's going on?" asked a succubus as she heard James yell a word that would send chills down her spine. "Now!" James screamed as he opened fire on several mamono who screamed in fear and pain as the bullets of James' M4A1 tore through their bodies while some who managed to escape the fog were mercilessly cut down by Issei though he did struggle a bit against a salamander. "Come on, stop struggling and be my husband!" tempted the salamander. "Sorry, but i already have a lover, and she'll burn you if she was here!" retorted Issei as he struck down the stunned salamander as James kept opening fire. "Shoot! I'm all out! Nineball cover me and Issei while i reload!" ordered James as he began to reload the M4A1's magazine.

"Copy that. Switching to combat mode!" growled Nineball as he fired his linear pulse rifle to several mamono who tried to fly and blasted an unlucky hellhound with a round from his shoulder mounted grenade launcher bazooka. "Let's strike the others!" growled a demon as a small group who avoided the carnage unfortunately went face to face with Wilmarina and the rest. "Attack men!" ordered Mersé as the group attacked the small mamono group.

Sounds of Nineball's rifle and KARASAWA and screams of terrified mamono filled the air as James finally reloaded his M4A1 and resumed firing. "Issei, how are you doing!?" asked James turning a devil into swiss cheese via gunshots. "Doing fine! I've cut down a lot!" Issei replied while dodging a furious werewolf's swipes and counterattacked it by slashing it's tail off and stabbing it in the chest. "Good. Same here with me and Nineball." mused James as Wilmarina and the rest were easily mowing down the small group. "Elt! Remember what Nineball taught you and the rest!" yelled James as Elt and the other soldiers heeded the former's words and held the swords by their blades and used them as makeshift axes to stun the shocked mamono and deal fatal damage. "Good! Whack them good!" yelled James as a wounded succubus lunged towards James who was stomped into a bloody paste by Nineball's foot. "Thanks for the save Nineball." thanked James as he fired an explosive grenade round. "No problem." Nineball replied as he resumed firing too.

Soon the screams stopped. "Hold your fire!" James yelled as the fighting stopped. Soon the winds blew and showed all the mamono that were gunned down and cut down. "Ugh...this reeks of blood..." James commented looking at a succubus corpse whose body was riddled with bullets, one devil was incinerated by Nineball's shots and most likely from the KARASAWA and a hellhound corpse was barely recognizable due to amount of bullets fired at her and most especially a demon whose body was reduced to bloody chunks by Nineball's grenade launcher bazooka. "Nineball. Scan the area if there are survivors." James ordered as Nineball scanned the area. "One lifeform detected. What do we do with her?" asked Nineball as James found the survivor: a shaking bloodied weeping succubus who was grabbed by the hair by James. "Who sent you? Answer!" James growled holding the terrified succubus at gunpoint. "L-lady Druella sent us..." stammered the succubus in fear. "The Demon Lord's fourthborn daughter!? The nerve of that extremist lilim!" shouted Wilmarina angered. "Tell her this...The group she sent here were all slaughtered...except you...now go. Tell her and the Demon Lord! Tell them what happened here! And don't you dare come back!" snarled James as the weeping succubus nodded and ran away crying. "You think it was safe to let her go?" asked Issei as James spat on the ground. "Yeah. We did a pretty good job didn't we?" James replied with a smirk. "Congratulations, you actually impressed me. Earlier i doubted you three, guess i was wrong." apologized Wilmarina walking towards the three. "Apology accepted. Now then, let's make a report." said James accepting the apology.

-a few hours later-

"Good job you three. You made an excellent showing of your skills on your first day no less!" praised a priest to the three. "Aw shucks. It was nothing! We did what we had to do." said James blushing in embarrassment. "Uh sir, where is the priest who recruited us?" asked Issei noticing that Wilmarina's father the priest from earlier was no where to be found. "Well, Priest William had to leave for some...err, personal business. That's all i can say." said the priest apologetic. "It's okay." said Issei with an offhanded wave. "Now for your rewards. you two since Nineball doesn't need money, shall recieve a bag of 8000 gold." said the priest handing two bags of gold to James and Issei. "Th-thanks..." mumbled James quite humbled by the amount. 'Compared to what i earned as a former Raven this is basically mid-tier salary.' thought James reminiscing his days as a Raven. "James, you're spacing out again." said Issei nudging James in the arm.

"Sorry." breathed James a bit sheepish. "Now since you have earned your rewards, you may relax for the time until we call upon your services again." said the priest humbly as James and Issei nodded and left the church. "So how did it go?" asked Nineball outside the church. "Well...we got 8000 gold respectively." explained Issei still in shock. "8000? That's huge!" exclaimed Nineball in surprise. "Meh. Compared to what i earned in my work as a mercernary in the past, this is mid-tier salary." commented James a bit derisively. "You did mercenary work before?" asked Issei quite surprise. "Yeah. But i can't trust you full yet to tell my full story as a merc. So that's all you need to know for now." intoned James seriously which made Issei gulp and nod. "Alright, now what?" asked Nineball now wondering what to do. "I'll go buy some food and some vegetables and some spices too." replied James heading for the market. "I'll go hit the library and see if i can get any information." said Issei heading for the library. "Can i come along too? I need this info as well." asked Nineball. "Why not? James is it okay if Nineball comes with me?" asked Issei as James nodded wordlessly.

"Sweet. Alright Nineball let's hit the library." said Issei as he headed for the library for some information.

-several hours later-

"Whew. Got some tomatoes, turnips, potatoes, carrots and onions. I got some chicken, fish and beef. Lastly i got salt and chili peppers. And i still have 7000 gold in my bag." commented James looking at his basket full of food. "Issei. I guess you and Nineball got some information." said James seeing Issei and Nineball approach him. "Yeah, currently i learned that there are towns located around this continent we are in. Most importantly i found some books about Gaia's entire geography, so we can know where to go." explained Issei with a nod. "Not to mention that there was a lack of a book involving mamono. But since the Order's view on mamono, it probably won't be there." added Nineball. "I see. Alright, let's go head back to the cave. Viola might be worried sick." commented James as they walked to get out of the place.

-outskirts of Lescatie-

"Issei! I'm so glad you're back! Do you know how worried i was!?" asked Viola clearly angry with worry. "Sorry dear. We had to mercernary work. We got paid too!" apologized Issei while James prepared the pot. "Good thing there's a natural spring here and an undergroud river too." commented James filling the pot. "You two learned anything?" asked Viola as James and Issei nodded. "Well tell me during dinner okay?" added the monsterized Crimson Fatalis as the two nodded again and Issei assisted James in lighting the fire while Nineball stood guard over the cave. 

'Whatever happens in the following days...i've got an ill feeling about this...not to mention that there are a lot places that were conquered by the Demon Lord and her army...but why is it that i sympathize with the mamono? We still don't know anything about this world or the demon realms surrounding them...dark or bright green...still...we need to keep our guard up while gathering information...for now we need to have this small moment of respite...until we have enough information we can't do anything for the time being...even so we need to learn more about Gaia and it's inhabitants...but for now we shall have this moment of respite...' thought Nineball still processing the information he gathered, all he can do was watch his companions while wondering what should they do next. 'Tomorrow we will gather some info and maybe learn a few things or so.' thought James while chopping the potatoes.

For now the four had nothing else to do but have dinner. Even then they still have much to do in the coming days...

For now...all they could do was eat. But with hearts full of determination, they might just learn things that may save Gaia and it's inhabitants in the future...a future where humanity and monsterkind walk hand in hand.

(The next day. approximately 7:50 in the morning)

"Oi, you two. You done fucking yet?" asked an aggravated James outside of the cave as Viola's moans were heard from it. "C-can you wait for just a few more minutes? Ahhh! Issei! Fuck me more!" moaned Viola as Issei was busy fucking her first thing in the morning no less! "Fine, but hurry it up okay? The food's getting cold!" scolded James rubbing his nose im frustration. "You'll have to get used to it dude." commented Nineball as James shot him a dirty look and sat down and sighed. "Mamono...sometimes i just don't get them!" James grumbled as he sat on a stump. "Me too James. Me too." added Nineball as Viola's loud orgasmic moan just made James grumble in irritation and closed his ears.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting James!" Issei apologized sheepishly as he and and Viola finished having sex and smelled of it and sweat. "*aggravated sigh* Just...make sure you tell me before i cook okay?" sighed an aggravated James while pinching his nose. "We're really sorry James..." Viola muttered sheepishly as James sighed and gestured for them to sit down and eat.

-a few minutes later-

"So, you two heading back to Lescatie eh? I'll be by my lonesome again..." sighed Viola sadly but understanding why the two must go. "We'll be back for lunch dear. So don't worry about it!" Issei assured with a smile as James made a curt nod and the three left heading for Lescatie again. "*sigh* Be careful you hear!?" called Viola as the thee replied with 'yeah' and 'will do!' as Viola sighed again and entered the cave and went to sleep.

-Lescatie army bunkers-

"Sorry, we're late." said James as they approached some soldiers. "It's alright, we don't got a mission for the time being, but hey let's all train!" mused Elt assuredly as James went looking for Mimil. "I know you can you use magic, can you teach someone like me?" asked James to the young mage. "Well...i need to see if you have the capability for it, if you do...well...i'll teach ya." replied Mimil as she began to sense if James had any magical power within and the capability to do it.

Mimil's eyes opened wide when sensed magic within James, a lot of magic potential within and was greatly surprised. "Whoa! You do have the potential to do it!" cheered the magical girl in joy as James smiled in relief. "Okay then, get ready for your first few magical lessons! I won't be easy on you!"

James nodded in excitement and nodded rapidly as he liked a challenge. 'First day of training's the hardest like they all say.' he thought in gleeful excitement as Mimil left to get a chalkboard and some books about magic.

-a few hours later-

James blew Mimil's expectations out of the water, much like her, James was an instant expert and mastered several spells like the standard fire spell or the water spell or the ice spell and so on! Even the advanced level though James struggled a bit, was able to master them quickly. "Wow...you exceeded my expectations James...honestly i'm impressed." commented Mimil as she wiped her sweaty head with a cloth. "Thanks, you're not too bad for a kid yourself." James snarked as Mimil pouted a bit and James just laughed while looking a spell in the spellbook.

"Hm? What's this spell?" asked James looking a spell he never saw before. "That spell? That one's called "Never Run Out Spell", it's spell when casted on an object filled with something like for example a jar of water...it will never run out ever again. Hence the name." Mimil explained while James looked in amazement. "Has any one mastered this spell?" asked James curious as Mimil sadly shook her head. "No one has mastered it yet i'm afraid. Even me a prodigy of magic has difficulty understanding it. Not even my rival Parshe could master it." said Mimil sadly as James looked carefully at the spell's writing and began to attempt to cast it on a container full of cracker biscuits. "James stop wasting your time, you can't master that spell." groaned Mimil attempting to dissuade James from casting the Never Run Out Spell.

Suddenly a magical circle appeared in front of James' hand and a soft light shone brightly for a few seconds and disappeared. "Did it work?" asked James nervously. "...James...how...HOW THE HECK DID DO YOU IT!?" yelled Mimil in shock as James did the impossible: he easily mastered the Never Run Out Spell, a spell that even talented mages had difficulty in mastering it! "It wasn't that hard, you have to look carefully at the writing on it's page. Then read it again and see for yourself." explained James as Mimil took the spellbook from James' hands and began reading carefully. "Of course! How can we be so stupid?! We kept overlooking an important part of the page! James come with me, i'll tell the entire magitech section about this breakthrough!" yelled Mimil in shock and amazement. "Okay, but mind if we tell the rest first?" James asked as Mimil nodded and he left to tell the others about the good news.

"That's...impressive! I knew you were special kid, but this is something else!" praised Mersé in amazement as James sheepishly scratched his head. "You give me too much credit commander, i just read the spell carefully and that's it." muttered James sheepish. "Don't be sheepish James! She's praising you!" chided Mimil as James just looked to the side in embarrassment. "Uh oh, i think you making him shy." commented Nineball in amusement as James shot the red Armored Core a glare. "Alright. Shall we go to the magitech section about this development?" asked Mimil as James nodded quietly and headed for said place.

-magitech section-

"Seriously!? I can't believe we overlooked something so simple! Thank you James for making something impossible into the possible." said a mage with relief in his voice. "You're welcome, i just did what i had to do. Besides, you guys might have some spells that need a careful check as well." James replied with a sincere smile. "James, you should be proud of your achievement. I mean you finally solved a riddle that we mages have trying for several years and yet you did it." commented a female mage which made James blush harder. "Aw shucks, you give me too much credit." said the blushing mercenary making an awkward wave of his hand.

"C'mon James, don't be so sheepish! I mean everyone is praising you even if you are shy about it!" chided Mimil as James just nervously scratched his cheek while other mages began reading some of the spell they initially had difficulty with. 'Man, small things make a difference alright, good thing i always read carefully before doing anything.' James thought with a sincere smile while looking at a few items.

"Say...mind if i buy this book of spells?" James asked while looking at a spellbook. "You can have it for free. You can take that sword that comes with it as well, i mean that sword is used for spellblades after all." replied a female mage while James gave a surprised look. "Really?! Okay then! I'll take this spellbook and this sword too." said James gleefully taking the spellbook and sword.

(what the sword looks like, and yes it's also from Final Fantasy, specifically...Crisis Core. i don't own anything!)

"Cool! So you're going to use that sword eh? Go find Parshe, she's going to train you how to use spellblades." commented Mimil amused. "This Parshe...is she a rival?" asked James curiously. "Well...she keeps saying that, i don't see her as one though, i see more as a friend." Mimil replied a bit slowly. "Alright, take me to Parshe and i want to learn some spellblades." James mused with a nod as Mimil hummed in response and the two went to find Parshe.

"So...this is the guy who somehow made the 'Never Run Out Spell' possible to use?" asked a white haired girl with a sword sheathed to her left hip. 'That must Parshe, she's 14...two years older than Mimil...eck...despite that...she could almost pass off as 16!' thought James very much disturbed.

"Indeed he is! He also made some difficult to master spells a lot easier to master too." said Mimil with a look of pride. "Is that so? So why did you bring him to me then?" asked Parshe miffed. "Well...Mimil said you're an expert in spellblade techniques, and i want to learn from an expert like you." explained James as Parshe looked at Mimil and smirked. "Is that so? Then you've come to the right person!" said Parshe in a grandiose way as Mimil made an exasperated sigh. "Something wrong Mimil?" asked James noticing Mimil's exasperated look and sigh. "It's nothing to worry about James. And make sure you heed Parshe's spellblade lessons well." sighed Mimil as James just nodded.

-a few minutes later in the training grounds-

"Wow...you mastered a lot of basic spellblades just by watching me. That's sorta impressive..." commented Parshe upon seeing James flawlessly execute some of the spellblades she demonstrated. "True...but i did had difficulty when it came to the light and dark element ones." James said while scratching his head. "Well true, now...i'll show you the advanced elemental spellblades followed by the effect spellblades. So have a good look at them okay?" said Parshe prepping another spellblade as James nodded.

-another few minutes later-

"...How do you learn so quick!?" asked a stunned Parshe after Jamed did the elemental spellblades followed by the effect spellblade in quick succession and easy mastery. "Maybe i have good intuition and semi-supernatural instant mastery i guess?" James replied a bit sheepish. "Really? Then again, Mimil told me you have a good eye, so maybe you learn pretty quick. Okay, the next is the expert level of the spellblade mastery. You ready?" asked Parshe readying a stance. "Please show me." said James sincerely as Parshe smirked as the display she was about to show.

-not another few minutes later...-

"Okay, you get all of that?" asked Parshe after her display of skills at expert level. "...So it's possible to mix elements as long it's not the opposing elements am i right?" hummed James thoughtfully. "Yes. As long as you combine and mix the proper elements, good. Now show me what you saw!" commented Parshe impressed by James' analysis. "Oh i'll show you alright." James grunted as readied a combined spellblade technique.

-30 minutes later-

"How did i do?" asked James a bit winded from after all those combined spellblades. "You really did well, even better than i did...i mean it took me weeks to master combined spellblades but you, you mastered them in minutes...i'm really impressed." Parshe replied clearly impressed and a bit envious. "Good to hear, now then...shall we finish this? with a one on one duel?" asked James getting up. "I thought you never asked!" chuckled Parshe ready to fight her student.

The two spellblade knights took their stances and stared at each other for a short while and lunged towards each after making their respective shouts of challenge. "I might be 14 years old, but don't underestimate me!" shouted Parshe ready to fight James. "Don't worry about it! I might be a newbie...but don't think i'm weak! I'll show you what i'm made of!" yelled James equally ready to fight.

"Here i go! YAAAAHHH!!!" screamed Parshe as she used an ice spellblade while James used an earth spellblade to block the attack and followed up with a lightning spellblade and water spellblade. "Water conducts electricity!" yelled James as Parshe cried in pain from the attack. "Clever! But i won't let that stop me!" growled Parshe using a fatigue spellblade followed by a slow spellblade to fatigue and slow James's movements. "Kuh! You got me good! how's this!?" growled James feeling the effects and used a blind spellblade followed by a lightning spellblade to stun and blind Parshe.

"GAH!" Parshe screamed as she blinded rendering her vunerable to James' following onslaught. "Even if i'm a bit fatigued and my movement slowed, i won't lose to you!" screamed James unleashing a flurry of flame and lightning combined spellblade followed by a combined spellblade of wind and ice and several advanced level fire spellblades. "KYAAAA!!!" Parshe screamed from the sheer might of James' onslaught. "I'm only getting warmed up!!" James growled using an expert level fire spellblade. "BURN!!!" roared James swinging his sword and wounding Parshe but he wasn't done yet as he prepared one last attack.

"Take this! Element Cross Slash!!" screamed the raven haired mercenary as he combined all seven elements (fire, water, earth, wind, lightning, light and dark) in one devastating combined spellblade attack. "GAAAAHHHH!!" Parshe screamed as she was hit by the full force of the attack. "Heh...hah...hahhh...I win." James gasped as the attack drained a hefty amount of his mana. "Urkkk...ugh...You stunned me again...combining all seven elements...very good. I've nothing left to teach you..." wheezed Parshe getting up from the pain. "You need help?" asked James walking towards her. "Sure..." murmured Parshe with a grateful smile as James helped her up.

"Whew! That was fun! Let's duel next time okay?" asked James feeling tired. "Of course! But i won't be as easy next time! I'm going to train next time with my defeat as a motivator!" Count on it!" replied Parshe happily as she found a new rival and possibly a new friend too (she'll never admit that Mimil is her friend). "Good. Train hard, the same goes for me too." said James clearly amused and motivated to fight Parshe in the future again.

-45 minutes later. library-

"I better hit the books so i can learn more about Gaia..." mused Issei holding a book about Planet Gaia and it's history. "This will take a while..." muttered Issei knowing how long this is.

(Author's note: Sorry if i can't write all of that down. But it would burn my brain out again!)

"So the cycle between the Chief God and the Demon Lord contined until the 13th Demon Lord who was a succubus named Lilith broke the cycle into the current status quo of the present day...I know that Lilith is trying to break the cycle of death and bloodshed that plagued Gaia for millenia...but with how mamono are which involves the extremist faction...humanity's going to be extinct if something can't be done!" muttered Issei wanting to find a different way to ensure humanity survives while mamono also survive but be a lot less lustful and truly coexist with them. "There's gotta be a way..." he groaned in dismay. "[You're right partner, if we don't find a way...Gaia and it's inhabitants will undergo a slow demise, even if it's a pleasureable one...it's still a mass extinction event.]" mused Ddraig clearly terrified of the implications. "Yeah...but let's look at the other books about Lescatie's history okay?" agreed Issei before getting another book.

-at the barracks where Nineball is-

"Say Elt, i see that you are going somewhere. Are you going to visit someone?" asked Nineball noticing Elt. "Yeah. I'm gonna go visit Sasha to help her out. You want to come along?" Elt replied as Nineball shook his head. "Sorry, but i have a lot to learn for the time being, so how about next time? I'll tell James to come along too." Nineball apologized as Elt nodded in understanding. "Alright. See you!" said Elt as he left the barracks as Nineball waved in goodbye.

"Why didn't you come along with Elt?" asked Primera approaching Nineball who sighed (which is odd). "Look, this place is quite the interesting one, i need some time to fully learn my surroundings and this world's entire structure. Call me weird, but i need to learn you know?" mused Nineball as Primera was somewhat confused but understood what the red colored Armored Core had said. "Now then...can you tell me all about the culture of Lescatie?" asked Nineball curiously. "I'll get some people, but i'll give a small rundown." said Primera as Nineball nodded and sat down.

-the cave hideout-

"Alright, since i'm all alone, i've got all the time in the world to think some stuff." mused Viola thinking on how she came to Gaia. 'I was once a simple blacksmith's daughter, until our village was attacked by a Dalamadur which killed many people in my village, thankfully my father and i some people i knew survived.' thought Viola remembering her past. 'Then, i signed up to join as a monster hunter, for two years i racked up several kills, including that Dalamadur that wrecked my village. Then came that fateful solo quest which i undertook alone...the solo quest which involved a Crimson Fatalis...whose remains became my newest armor and weapon...the very things that would turn me into the very thing i killed.' added the monsterized Crimson Fatalis shuddering at the horrific memory.

'Then one day all of a sudden...i began to spasm, writhe and scream in pain...and in a flash...i became the very thing i killed...a Crimson Fatalis...for some reasons unknown, i retained my sense of self and sanity and fled my fellow hunters unaware of the monster i had turned into...for three months i was able to avoid detection and capture...but my mind was slowly eroding and my sanity was slipping fast...luck befell me one day when i saw a portal...the very portal that lead me to Planet Gaia and transformed me into my current form...there i learned several things about Gaia from a wandering mamono fortune teller. Through her i learned about the Demon Lord Lilith, the Order of the Chief Goddess and so many more...then she told me of my destined mate...my beloved Issei who came to Gaia six months after my arrival...' thought Viola with a happy smile. 'But...i still want to learn more...about Gaia and it's inhabitants, more than just the monster hating order, more than just the hedonistic mamono, i want to learn more about this beautiful world...' added Viola with a look of determination. "When the three come back, i'm going to ask a lot of questions!" said Viola determinedly.

-back to where the three are after several hours later-

"So? How was your days guys?" asked James curiously. "Ddraig and i hit the library learning a few things." Issei began while holding a stack of books. "On my part i learned about Lescatie's culture, in fact...in a few days we will be requested to go the castle. The king wants to speak to the three of us." said Nineball voicing his part. "I see...me on the other hand learned some magic spells and i got a free sword and spellblade lessons too!" commented James with a snicker. "That's good to know. So...let's all hit the market eh?" asked Issei with a smile as James and Nineball nodded as well.

-several minutes later-

"Okay, we got the usual stuff, plus we also bought some fresh fish too! Hey Issei, you want some fish?" commented James in awe while checking their purchases. "Yeah, why not? Let's go. Viola's gonna be worried." Issei replied with a smile. "Yosh! Let's go!" said James raising a fist to the sky as the three walked back to the cave hideout.

As the three headed for their cave home/hideout, the information they learn both combat and non-combat would prove useful to them in the upcoming trials they will face. An idea slowly took root in their heads...the idea to save Gaia in a way no one had ever seen before. This idea will finally unite humanity and monsterkind in a far more ideal way than union through hedonistic pleasure or utter extermination of monsterkind. But for now...the four strange people had to gather strength to face the upcoming battles...For they were not prepared...yet.

Author's note: finally finished this as well. First we learn of Viola's backstory and we meet more people from Lescatie while James learns how to use a sword plus spellblade techniques and an extremely useful spell that will help in the long run. Issei and Ddraig learn about Gaia's history and their clear worry about the current status quo while finding a much more safer way to help monsterkind. While Nineball learns about Lescatie's history and culture (albeit offscreen). The following chapter is set a few days after some mamono exterminations and also meeting the royal family. (a few weeks later, barracks)

"Hey Nineball, can you teach me how use a sword the way you do?" asked Luciana approaching the red AC. "Hmmm...that depends...do you have some leather belts and rope? And can you tie well without bothering your arm?" asked the sentient red AC in curiousity. "Well...we have a lot of those things you said, and yeah i can tie pretty well." Luciana replied while fetching said items. "Looks like you got an apprentice." commented James to his AC partner. "True. I would like to help others and help them improve." Nineball mused with amusement in his voice.

Soon Luciana came back with some leather belts and some rope. "Okay, i have the items needed, am i ready?" asked the blonde swordswoman eagerly. "Hmm...not just yet. your sword is too big to be used, either a broadsword or a longsword will do." said Nineball looking carefull as Luciana thankfully found a broadsword. "Good. Now follow my movements." instructed Nineball carefull as Luciana began tying the broadsword to her arm as Nineball activated his arm blade.

"Now...watch closely." said Nineball as he made his movements with his arm blade as Luciana watched carefully and imitated the movements step by step. "Good. you're learning. Now try this." praised Nineball who did a leaping slash and several leaping attacks which Luciana had some difficulty imitating while performed it nonetheless. "Excellent. Now this one." said Nineball who did a series of rapid slashes and rapid stabs. "Can you do that?" asked the red AC as Luciana gulped but did it nonetheless. "Perfect! Now redo what you have seen and keep practicing until you improve. Now class dismissed!" praised Nineball de-activating his arm blade as Luciana jumped in happiness. "Yes! i've gotten better! well now i've got another means to use a smaller sword!" said Luciana in happiness as James just smiled. "Good for you! at least your swordsmanship skills have gotten better!" commented James with a chuckle.

"Aww...thanks James! but good luck on your spellblade training!" Luciana chuckled as James made a sheepish chuckle. "Ehehehehehe...yeah...i know..." said James sheepishly as Nineball snorted in amusement. "Alright, be seeing you two!" said Luciana who then left to train. "Say James, where do you think Issei is?" asked Nineball. "He told me to go on ahead, he'll be here at lunch." James replied as Nineball had an inkling feeling on what Issei was doing...fucking Viola silly. "Yeah...he did say that he will be late..." commented Nineball as James just sighed. "Mamono and their sex drive, once they get horny, they just can't stop." groaned James irritably as Nineball nodded in agreement.

"It's about to be lunch soon...*grumble* hurry up you horny jackass!" grumbled James while stirring the soup filled with potatoes and carrots and tomatoes. "Is the soup done James? we're all starving!" said a nervous soldier waiting for the soup. "Hold your horses, it's almost done! just give me 10 more minutes!" James groaned while stirring the soup while trying to calm his nerves. "*sigh* the downsides of having a friend with a mamono lover..." muttered James irritably which thankfully no one heard, well execpt for Nineball. "Sorry i'm late! i had some things to take care of!" said Issei arriving at the barracks. "Good thing you came, i was about to finish the soup, now take seat you tardy nitwit!" seethed James getting a tick mark as Issei knew James was very upset and pissed off. "[Partner, keep it in your pants next time okay?]" scolded Ddraig as Issei slumped down in embarrassment. 'How can i keep it in? Viola's so damn fuckable! and she clearly loves me so much, so much that i can't say no when begs for sex!' wailed Issei internally.

-after lunch-

"Issei, James and Nineball. may i speak to you three for a moment? it is quite urgent." asked Wilmarina in an urgent tone as the three perked up. "What is it ma'am?" asked Nineball politely. "You see...the king himself asks for your prescences to personally come to the royal palace. he wants to thank you three for successfully dealing with several mamono attacks lately." Wilmarina explained as the three looked at each other and looked back at the heroine. "When are we being called?" asked James curiously. "In a few hours, the three of you must be on your best behaviour got it?" Wilmarina replied sternly as the three grunted in affirmation. "Good. i and the Order of the Ice Flower and my personal guard knight shall personally escort you three to the royal palace. good day to you three." said Wilmarina who left after that.

"Now why would the king ask for our prescence? does it have to do with our efforts?" asked Issei curious as James and Nineball shrugged. "That might be the reason why, but i've a feeling that i need to bring something..." James replied who checked his bag and saw some nanomachine syringes that contained a potent healing medicine which can cure several illnesses and even heal people who had long term sicknesses. "Aren't those your nanonmachine syringes which were given the 'Never Run Out Spell'? what are you going to do with it?" asked Nineball as James closed his bag and had a contemplative look. "Call it a hunch...but i have a feeling that i might use it today..." James replied cryptically which made and Issei and Nineball tilt their heads in curiousity.

-a few minutes later-

Soon Wilmarina returned along with Alameria, Luciana and three women whom Issei, James and Nineball hadn't met yet. "Who are those three? and two of them have similar hats to Alameria..." commented Issei who looked at the other two who have hats.

"You must be the three mercenaries i presume? i am Vermut Rosnair, lady Wilmarina's knight." introduced Vermut bowing before the three. "No need for formalities. Bowing is a bit too much for us." said Issei while frantically waving his hands. "But i must be corteous. It would be rude if i did not." Vermut protested as Paula just laughed. "You must be Olivie, Alameria told me about you." said James turning to the ash blonde woman. "Well i do must say i have heard about you who unlocked two spells. It seems that i would have a student soon!" chuckled Olivie as James scratched his head. "Yeah...i'd like to have a teacher in sword skills, and i suck at fencing. Would you teach me how to improve my skills besides from just spellblades?" asked James nervously. "Of course. it would be my pleasure." Olivie replied as James smiled.

"...Do you wish to speak to me?" asked Nineball a tiny bit irritated by Paula staring at him. "Whoa...never seen something this huge, and i wanna say sorry about Alameria, she really thought you were untrustworthy." Paula replied as Nineball sighed. "All is forgiven, but tell your friend to be a lot less judgemental next time." said Nineball as Alameria huffed. "Thanks a lot Paula..." grumbled the fencer annoyed as Nineball just laughed.

Wilmarina then coughed to gain everyone's attention. "Is everyone ready? Now remember, the three of your are to be on your best behaviour got it?" asked the white haired woman to the three mercs. "Yes ma'am!" said all three mercenaries in an attentive salute. "Heheh. Alright, we shall now escort you three to his majesty the king." said Wilmarina in an authoritative tone as the three mercs nodded seriously. "Lead us the way o great hero of Lescatie." said James with sincerity in his voice. "Follow us, and we'll guide you three there." Wilmarina replied with a smile as the group began to escort the trio to the royal palace.

-Lescatie Royal Palace entrance-

"Here we are." Wilmarina announced as the group finally arrived. "The king may see you all now." said a guard. "Well execpt for me that is." snarked Nineball as the guard made a look of sympathy. "Well you are huge cosidering your height..." snarked another guard which got him a dope slap to head. "Not now Collins!" groaned the guard irritably as James just laughed. "Will you be fine here Nineball?" asked Olivie to Nineball who nodded. "Affirmative. I'll be alright here, plus i'll get to observe some conversations between guards." Nineball replied reassuringly. "Alright then, be safe buddy." said James with a smile as Nineball stood outside and looked at the two guards.

"So...care to introduce yourselves?" asked Nineball curiously to the two guards. "I'm Patton and this dimwit here is Collins." said Patton while making a gesture towards Collins. "I'm not a dimwit!" yelled Collins indignantly as Patton didn't look back or care. "But the way you say it, makes it clear you are a dimwit in sheer denial." snarked Patton as Collins angrily grumbled. "I think the three of us we'll get along just fine." commented Nineball as Collins and Patton began to argue.

-Royal Palace throne room-

As the group (sans Nineball) approached the throne room, Issei saw a man with greying hair with a crown atop his head. 'That must be the king.' Issei thought as he looked carefully. "We are in the prescence of his majesty, King Castor." said Wilmarina as she and the others knelt before the king. "Do we have to kneel as well?" asked Issei as James shot him a dirty glare. "Isn't it obvious? Now kneel you irreverent jackass!" replied James irritably as Wilmarina and the others stifled their snickering and unbeknowst to them, the king as well. "Ahem. On behalf of the people of Lescatie and myself,  i thank you three mercenaries for helping us stop the monsters from attacking our kingdom." said the king in gratitude. "You are welcome your majesty. We're doing everything we can to fight the mamono to protect this kingdom." James replied with a smile. 'Yeah...but i have an ill feeling that this peace won't last for long...' thought Issei worriedly.

"I may ask you three...will you keep helping our kingdom until the day we defeat the Demon Lord?" asked the king with a weary expression. "Your majesty...do you even need to hear our response? damn right we do. we will help until that day comes...count on it!" James hissed with clear determination. 'But...whatever happens...we might have a change of plans should something happen in the future...given what we know about so far about the war between the Order and the Demon Lord...for now we will have to keep working for them until we get away to start our real mission...' thought James clearly conflicted but clearly wanting humans and mamono to co-exist without lust overpowering all logic and reason and rationality. "Same here too!" yelled Nineball from the castle entrance. "Me three." added Issei resolutely.

"Thank you. Again i sincerely thank your sincere dedication to help our kingdom safe from the monsters." said the king a smile. "Now you are to explore my castle if you wish, well execpt Sir Nineball..." added the king while trying not to chuckle at the last part of his sentence. "I heard that!" yelled Nineball annoyed. "Well you are too big!" Collins yelled as Patton whacked him in the head. "Wow...do those two guards argue and get on each others's nerves most of the time?" asked Issei curiously. "Yes, though Collins often brings it upon himself due to him being a nitwit." Wilmarina replied with a sheepish chuckle. "Is that so? well...that's amusing to be honest." James mused with a snicker as he had a strong feeling to climb up the stairs on the east.

"Hm? Umm...your majesty where does the stairs on the east lead to?" asked James pointing to a staircase. "Ah, that staircase leads to my fourth daughter Fransisca...she is very much bedridden right now...but if you wish, you can visit her." the king replied in a sad tone. 'Why do i get the feeling that i was right in bringing those nanomachine syringes?' thought James as he climbed up the stairs. "Halt. State your intentions." said a guard near a door. "I came on the king's request, let me enter." replied James realizing he was at the door of the forth princess of Lescatie. "I see. a word of advice: please do not cause some problems for Lady Fransisca as her condition has worsened." advised the guard. "Condition? what condition?" asked James feeling that he was going to use the nanomachine syringes on a sickly person.

"Ever since she was a child, Lady Fransisca was ravaged by an unknown disease, her condition worsened as she grew older...to make it even worse, she was rendered infertile from it. And unlike her three older sisters, Lady Fransisca was born talentless...this along with her illness had made her quite the pitiable girl..." explained the guard bitterly and in the verge of tears. "...i see...thank you for the advice and the backstory." said James thankful as he entered the room. 'I knew i was right in bringing those nanomachine syringes! they would most assuredly cure Princess Fransisca of her condition! heck the medicine that in those syringes can even cure infertility!' thought James inside the room as he heard some coughing. "Wh-who's there?" asked a weak voice that belonged to the princess to get a closer look at her.

"Wow...you really look sickly..." mused James in pity. "*coughing* i know...you must be Sir James right? why would you be here wasting your time on a sickly person like me?" asked Fransisca with a cough as James put down his bag and opened it and pulled out some alco-wipes and a nanomachine syringe. "I had an inkling feeling that i'd need to use this on you...hold still now...this won't hurt a bit." said James as he carefully injected the nanomachine syringe into the left side of Fransisca's neck. "Ahhhh..." whimpered Fransisca as she felt James inject the medicine into her neck. "Alright. Now hold still again..." muttered James wiping the syringe with an alco-wipe and injected it on her left arm. "Wh-what did you do to me?" asked Fransisca after James finished injected her with the medicine and began scanning her with the medical scanner.

"I just gave you a medicine that would help cure your condition." said James plainly as Fransisca widened her eyes a bit. "Pardon? a cure? people said my condition is incurable...nothing could be done for me...my sickness ravaged my body for years...so why...how can you give me false hope?" asked Fransisca cynically as James frowned. "The medicine i gave you can cure your condition. The medical scanner said to me that this is a semi-rare disease that can be cured. The medicine i used on you is very, very, very potent. it's strong enough to cure you of your disease completely. How can i give you false hope?" asked James with slight anger mixed with sincerity. "I...i...i...never would have thought that i could be cured..." whimpered Fransisca in tears as James injected her again this time on the right side of her neck and right arm.

"The four injections i gave you will start working immediately, but you won't feel those effects not right now, it'll be gradual. But you will know right away." mused James as Fransisca felt something different. "I don't feel like coughing anymore nor i feel feverish." mused Fransisca getting up a bit. "It's already working, but don't get too cocky. Whenever i visit or i visit on your orders, i'll inject you four times to help accelerate your recovery and complete purging of your illness for good." said James with relief. "Thank you Sir James...send my regards to Sir Issei and Sir Nineball..." whispered Fransisca glad as James smiled back. "Of course, i'll tell my friends. Plus...i'll tell Elt about you too." James said with a coy smirk. "H-how did you know about my connection with Elt?" asked Fransisca shocked. "He told me about you...and...how about you three used to be so close before...i promise you, i'll tell Elt you're okay." replied James with a sad smile. "Thank you again...i'm going to have a peacful sleep for the first time in a few years..." whispered Fransisca with a sigh as she began to drift off to sleep. "Sleep tight sweet princess..." whispered James with a soft smile.

-a few hours later, back at the barracks-

"Hey Elt? can i talk to you for a moment?" asked James pulling Elt over to talk. "Yes what is it?" asked the crimson haired soldier to the Raven. "Well...i met Fransisca." said James to the point. "Oh my goddess...is-is she okay? is she alright?" asked Elt worriedly as James put a hand up to silence him. "When i checked on her, she looked like she hadn't slept in months. It was a good thing that i brought my nanomachine syringes containing a potent healing medicine to help cure her!" said James stating the facts. "Oh no...i should have visited her...i...i...i really should have talked to her..." Elt mumbled while sinking to his knees on the ground in shock. "Let me ask you a question...what's your connection to Fransisca and Wilmarina really? better spit it out." James demanded wanting answers.

"*deep breath* it might take a while..." sighed Elt as James shook his head. "I have all the time in the world...now spit it out." said James irritably. 

-a few miles away from the two-

"Look's like they're getting along." commented Issei with a small smile. "It seems so...hey Issei, since i can hear from great distances...want to hear what they're talking about?" asked Nineball with a glint of amusement. "As horrible that is...as it's eavesdropping...well...i don't mind." mused Issei as Nineball began to record what James and Elt were talking about.

What the two would hear (along with Ddraig) would give them sympathy and sadness for Elt and his past, while losing some respect for Wilmarina's father who was the reason for such sadness.

-Royal Palace, Fransisca's room-

For the first time in her life in a very long time, Fransisca looked at the afternoon sky and felt a little stronger than before. "Is this...hope? i haven't felt hope in a long time...Sir James...thank you...and i await the day you visit me again to help me with my recovery..." mused Fransisca with a soft smile as she went back to sleep as the healing medicine with the medical nanobots began their very long task of healing the fourth princess's body.

As such, life went as normal...but it would not be for long...as the storm loomed over the horizon...as the said storm would herald the beginning...of the battle that will change Lescatie forever...

Author's notes: another completed chapter. now our merc trio gets called by the king and James manages to meet Fransisca and giving her a gradual cure to her condition, now the next chapter is the slight calm before the storm. alright, see you all later.
