“ Promise me you’ll always be here? “ Stargazer said, looking up to the other demon. His gaze confused Stargazer, as if he was trying to say something else. He simply nodded with a slight smile. “ Of course. “ He responded. Follower knew he could not keep that promise, but he didn’t want to give false hope for him. Maybe they will be for each other every day.
That promise had soon grew to be a lie. Everyday the star tried to reach for him. There was no sight of him, only killed by a blade that seemed so familiar. But he could never give up. Stargazer kept fighting every single day just to even be a minute near him. And, he thought there was a chance. A close chance today. Yet , it was nothing. The star after his hundredth death, dropped to his knees and sobbed. He couldn’t feel anything but sadness and anger. Was it really.. anger ..? “ You could’ve just told me the truth. . . “ Couldn’t he? Would it be so hard to tell it? Or did he know he couldn’t live with any of those news. . ?
Was this his plan along?
Get Stargazer to like him, to love him, just to abandon him for the rest of his life?
Is this all a game to him?
And yet, even if he cried or couldn’t seem to think straight, he continued to try and find him.
This one peculiar day. It almost seemed surreal. “ Follower? Is that you? “ Stargaze spoke, walking towards him slowly. He tried his best to not startle the other demon. Follower’s gaze looked near him but he didn’t say anything in return. Just a cold, blank stare. Follower took a turn to leave — “ — Please! D - Don’t leave! I’ve been trying, forever just to find you. I don’t want you to leave. “ Stargaze sobbed, he felt his body shake “ — Please , Please . . . I’d do anything just to be with you again, just don’t go , “ He begged, falling to the ground , starry tears dripped to the cold, hard ground.
He felt small movements getting closer to him, looking up, Follower was in front of him. Follower had a smile plastered onto his face , it almost felt fake. “ You said you’d do anything? “ He asked, looking at him. Stargazer nodded his head in a yes manner, and sighed softly.
“ i just have one request, “ stargazer continued to listen. a moment of hope and peace. a day where they could be together . maybe this meant that he could be there for his birthday . he could only hope ; “ die. “ follower said , drawing out his sword and piercing his blade right into stargazer. “ wha - “ was all that he could say. his last breaths and last memories , all he could remember was follower laughing at him. for dying . . ? for being stupid?
follower looked down to stargazer’s body, blood quickly dripped out as he took his sword out of him. the last he would see of him.
