It started with curiosity.
She’d never seen her birth certificate so she went searching, her mother had always been so tight lipped on her father. She could guess that her father looked like her, Blue Eyes and Raven colored hair maybe the same bronze skin as hers, the same downturned nose that gave hint to his ancestry.
She had to give her mother credit the paper was very hard to find but she’d always been good at finding things out others didn’t want her to know, another quality she shared with her father.
The page was dust covered and buried under so many journals that had her mothers writing that goes back around the time her mom would have noticed her pregnancy.
The certificate has her full name and date and time of birth, March 31st 11:59 PM
The father listing draws her eyes quickly to its brilliance. The name draws her up short, Richard Grayson.
A few google searches and snooping through her mother’s journals later and she feels like she’s been slapped.
He has been part of multiple first responder forces and worked as a social worker, currently he’s putting all his time and money into bettering Blüdhaven. It didn’t take a genius to deduce he’s Nightwing the first Robin. Reading her mothers journal made her blood boil, her mother raped him then lied to him, almost destroyed a loving relationship between him and his now wife.
They deserved to know.
