Work Text:

Harumi was alone, but his face was still red; he’s been looking at the picture of Aki for 5 whole minutes. He does it when Aki isn’t at his apartment to keep him company. He chose to make two copies of it, one to sit on his wall of fame, and one for him to have when he feels lonely. Harumi felt some sort of compelling emotions when his classmates showed him a picture of Aki, his perfect features, his slightly better build, his charismatic smile. Harumi had asked himself that day, why are they comparing me to literal perfection?! He wanted to think that maybe he felt this way because he was jealous of Aki, but he knew that it wasn’t the case.
That’s why he had approached him at the bus stop that day.
That’s why he had continued talking to him when they realized neither of them wanted to be enemies.
That’s why he invited him over to his apartment even though he had nothing to do other than watch TV.
That’s why he let him stay.
That’s why he’s holding his picture in his hands.
Harumi sighed, and he put the picture back into the drawer. Yeah, he’s totally not a weirdo, he only has a picture of his only real friend to look at. He put his hands over his face and groaned “What the hell Harumi?” he asked himself as his face was still red.
Suddenly, he heard a knock on his door. Tap TAP, TAP tap TAP, tap tap. It was morse code for Aki. He jerked up from his desk, crap I forgot he was coming over. He tried to control his face and went to open the door for Aki. “Hey, sorry I’m late.”
Harumi groaned, “Do you seriously have to apologize for everything?”
Aki shrugged at that, “Well, if I didn’t then nobody would.”
Harumi grinned at that, “What a gentleman you are, Bunny.”
He began to laugh as Aki’s face reddened in flames, “Why do you keep calling me that?! Would you like it if I called you ice prince Haru, huh?!”
Harumi got slightly ticked off at that. He hated his nickname more than anything, especially being called Haru. He lunged at Aki and pinned him onto the couch. Aki’s face reddened further as he was trying to catch his breath. Harumi leaned forward, his breath against Aki’s neck. He knows he should stop himself before he does something he’ll regret, but he doesn’t care, “Back off bunny, or Suisha won’t have a bright knight by the end of today.”
Aki was still gasping for air, “Not until Higasa’s ice prince stops calling me bunny.”
Harumi got closer, and his voice became more monotone. “Make me.”
This was not a good situation for either of them. Their legs were intertwined with each other, their faces too close to each other, their hearts were beating off the charts, and their faces were red from it. Harumi was on top of Aki, and it kept him from escaping this embrace he held.
Aki’s body began to tremble, it was obviously too much for him. They had held this position for a full minute, and nobody was moving. Harumi smirked at him and decided to get off, “So, I guess we’re even bunny?”
Aki sat down red in the face looking down as he said, “Yep.”
Harumi decided, just for the fun of it, to grab Aki’s chin and gently lift it up so their eyes would meet, “Come on, you can tell me you enjoyed it.”
Aki was staring at him with the most unreadable face. It made Harumi slightly nervous, as he can usually read all of Aki’s face expressions by now.
Aki suddenly let out a smile. A unique smile, and said, “Maybe.”
Harumi’s heart began to flutter. He couldn’t hold it in anymore, he couldn’t let this moment pass without him saying the words he’s been needing to say most. He is not the kind of person who acts on impulse, but this is different.
He grunted softly and said, “I swear to god Aki, you better not be joking because I like you.”
This flower may have bloomed a bit too early, but only time will tell their answers.
