Chapter Text

Chapter 1 Summary: Hirasawa Taiga plans a romantic date for Arima Yuu

Chapter 1: What would he like?

I sat at my desk, in front of me was my computer emitting a white light, multiple tabs were opened, all of which were about dating ideas and spots around my and Yuu’s area. My mug halfway filled with black coffee was placed just beside my head as I stared blankly at it.

Now that the play was over and we currently didn’t have any club activities, wouldn’t tomorrow be the perfect day for a date? Considering Yuu was mostly free on weekends this summer whenever I visited him, he probably wouldn’t have any plans for tomorrow.

Thinking deeply; I paused my breathing while my head rested on my desk.

According to my research on how to plan a date, the first thing you should consider was the weather. I’ve checked the weather forecast this morning and confirmed that it would be a sunny day tomorrow—but that still wouldn’t be enough for weather preparation! If somehow, the forecast was wrong about tomorrow’s weather, I should have a back-up plan; like what our date spot would be if it suddenly rains and foils my plans.

I wrote on my notebook, drawing little boxes beside the list and ticking one of them off, that one being weather back-up plans.

Next, I should consider our venue. Perhaps we should go to an aquarium. I’ve heard it was a popular date spot from drama club, they even talked about how excited their girlfriends were to see all types of fish and aquatic creatures.

The corners of my lips unconsciously raised lightly, and before I knew it, I was smiling at the thought of Yuu pressing his face against the glass aquariums and wholeheartedly admiring fish.

How adorable would he look from the creatures perspective? Seeing Yuu with his cheeks plumper as it pressed against the glass, and his admiring eyes looking at them with awe..

Slap!

I slapped myself with both of my palms as I realized I was getting distracted by my imaginations.

But, I realized it myself.

Damn it.

I really do love Yuu, so much..

Infront of me was my computer reflecting my face.

My cheeks were red, but I couldn’t tell if they were red because of my slap, or the fact that my cheeks felt hot just thinking about Yuu. I shook my head and composed myself. I had a date to plan! I couldn’t risk our perfect date just because I ran out of time thinking about Yuu, could I now?

The pencil I had dropped on the floor when I sent myself back to reality appeared between my fingers once more after I picked it up from the carpet.

As I held it, my hand seemed to have started writing on their own, it wrote my thoughts and ideas on my notebook while I envisioned the scenes appearing before my eyes. These scenes that I conjured was different to those that I would see when I read my script, unlike those scripts, these scenes were derived from my own emotions and feelings, not something that could be explained by mere letters.

I woke up and found myself resting my head on the table,

I fell asleep.

Immediately, I picked up my notebook in panic, with countless pages filled with last nights plans, my eyes hurriedly scanned through all of it.

Only when I finished reading it did I relax as I sigh out of relief.

”I finished it.”

Our perfect date for today, it’s all planned!

First, I’m going to pick up Yuu with my bike (which I’m a bit embarrassed about) and impress Yuu with my driving skills as we head to the aquarium!

Then, when we’re inside the aquarium, I’ll take Yuu all around and look cool by explaining the fishes that I find him looking at.

Third, I’ll get him a gift!

I want to get him something memorable, something that would remind him of me.

My bike was just outside of Yuu’s home, outside their gate. I sent a text message to him earlier and told him to be ready when I arrived, but..

Wasn’t this too extreme for an aquarium date?!

Yuu was wearing a brown, leather coat, he had a black turtleneck on with black pants as well. His clothes really complimented his shiny blond hair. ‘Arima looks so cool..’ But there was a feeling rising inside my heart that clenched it, before I realized, I was having a bad premonition.
