Work Text:
One of the things that Sakai Moka has always wanted to change since she was a little girl but never did: Sakai Moka would always lose things. Can't find all sorts of things at hand. Sakai Moka also has frequent lucid dreams. There was no way to freely control the dreams, the ones on the internet were just too much of a bluff; for most of the time, Sakai Moka could only realize that she was dreaming, and then let the plot of the dream propel her to an unpredictable end.
How did one know they were dreaming in the first place? Sakai Moka wasn't conscious of it at first. But as time went on, she was able to realize something. For example, in her dreams, she was able to take care of everything properly, and never lost any of her belongings. See, that's easy, isn't it? If you feel suspicious, just check your pockets and bags. Cell phone, keys, cup, earphones, ID card... There's always one that's not there. That's what Sakai Moka now know that: if she hasn't lost anything, she must still be in an unknown dream, and conversely, if she has lost something, then she DO have really returned to a certain reality.
If it's known as a dream, would I be able to give myself a golden finger? As said at the beginning, Sakai Moka couldn't do that. In addition, she wouldn't do anything out of the ordinary in a dream, further more, she wouldn't disclose the information like "it's dream time" to anyone either. It's a precious way of symbiosis. Before gaining the above experience, Sakai Moka had actually experienced a long, long scare. It all started in an unnamed midnight. Rarely insomniac Sakai Moka was lying on her bed, when she suddenly heard a slight thumping sound from the closet beside her bed. Like elbow. Like knee. With the closet door still closed, Sakai Moka skillfully sought her cell phone near her pillow. It was still there. And then went to the charger. Also there. The bracelet was there. Everything was there. So it's a dream again... Fine. In that case, just follow the dream. Waiting with almost infinite patience for the closet to be slowly pushed open, Sakai Moka caught a glimpse of a small shadow walking out from inside. Shadow walked without sound, for sure. It circled the edge of the bed a few times. Finally, the end of the bed sagged slightly, up climbed a small humanoid critter with a slightly chilly body temperature. It was the first day that Hokazono Iroha had gotten into Sakai Moka's covers from the closet.
On the matter of sleeping with Hokazono Iroha alone, Sakai is not particularly frightened: after all, she already knows that it's a fake, so she's able to try to accept Iroha openly, whether she's a person, a ghost, or some other fantasy. Iroha herself said what her name was, and Moka just listened. Iroha's voice like herself, both small, soft, fluffy words lying in bed to listen to, were really helpful to sleep; more and more often, Sakai thought it actually quite good? Therefore Iroha came on time every night. Iroha's body temperature rose higher and higher: when they sleep together, the arms holding the body gradually tighten, the distance became ambiguous to the point that even wrapped into the legs. Unnie, unnie. Close at hand, Iroha's breath drove Moka nearly dizzy. Like a stranded fish, she had to breathe in Iroha's kisses in big gulps. If she suffocated in the dream. In that case, would I die? Or, would I wake up right away? Sakai Moka was fucked around, and shocked to realize that at this point she couldn't actually say which outcome was a little better.
Unnie, unnie. I really, really like you.. ha ....
Iroha's face enlarged some more. Looking down at Moka, her eyes were smiling, and the mole under her eye was as beautiful as ever.
Is it?... me like Iroha too...
Sakai Moka gasped shallowly and very quietly. She did like this girl.
Unnie. Aren't you afraid of me?
Not af.. not afraid of you.
Sakai Moka's smile looked kinda transparent. Hokazono Iroha tilted her head.
But. What if I were to kill you?
That would be fine...
It doesn't matter?
Because we're dreaming... So even if you... Kill me... would be less dangerous... No... ain't dangerous at all... . Sakai Moka organized her words intermittently. So... Not afraid of Iroha...
Hakozono Iroha's face was suddenly terrible. Her eyeballs became pitch black, and the whites of her eyes could no longer be seen. Black tears flowed from her eyes.
Unnie. Why did you say that?....
Unnie. What about now? Aren't you afraid of me even now?
Hokazono Iroha reached out, probed directly into Moka's chest. When fingertips touched the heart, she popped out a squeal happily, like a child finding her beloved toy. But she then tilted her head.
Why... beating so fast...
Is it because you're afraid of Iroha? Or do you like her?
I llike it so much... Could you give it to me,unnie?
Sakai Moka could no longer say a word. From within her body, she watched as Iroha took out the heart. Took it away. It was alive, blood streaming down from her fingers, and still beating. The heart that belonged to Sakai Moka.
Sakai Moka opened her eyes with very loud gasp.
Oh! That's it. So, things turn out that you can't tell other people in the dream world that you know you're dreaming, or else there gonna be serious consequences?
After listening to Sakai Moka's narration, Sakai's girlfriend hooked up her thin lips to take a sip of soda, and then summarized with certainty.
In my case, I've never encountered this kind of situation. I don't even realize that I'm dreaming... Oops...
Sakai Moka took a small bite of the takoyaki with somehow anxiety. The true story should be twisted appropriately depending on the identity of the listener, and THIS is what she told her girlfriend: Sakai Moka came home from work, Sakai Moka found a child lying on the couch, Sakai Moka wasn't frightened by the child, Sakai Moka told the child she was dreaming, Sakai Moka's heart was taken out by the child. Sakai Moka woke up.
Having sex, this part was never going to be mentioned because this can only be done with girlfriend. After cleaning up the dishes and watching a movie on the couch, that sort of thing happened naturally. Maybe it was because both of them were usually too busy with work to see each other very often, this time they had been making love until the late night, kissing, licking, caressing, and looking into each other's eyes. After it was over, being held tightly in girlfriend's arms from behind, a feeling of exhaustion swept through the body, Sakai Moka then realized she was so tired that she almost fell apart. So sleeeeepy. Love... It turns out that if you really make it... so tireeeeed. Sakai Moka thought of Iroha again. When she had sex with Iroha, she didn't seem to be as exhausted as right now. It's true. Dreams can never compare to the feeling of reality...
You always find yourself dreaming. Could it be possible that the dreams would actively become more and more real in order to keep you from realizing it?
The eyelid-fighting Sakai Moka vaguely heard her girlfriend asking the question.
By the way. It seems like you didn't tell me just now, did you? About how you find out how that comes every time... that you're actually dreaming about it?
.... I... Just look for something.... .
Looking for something?
Uh-huh. Don't I always lose things...? If it's all there... then know a dream.
Oh! That's it. Right. Now I know...
Roha's really... so careless... even made you lost the...
.. ?!
Sakai Moka shivered. The sleepiness was gone and she jumped up to look at her girlfriend, only to realize that there was no one around her at all. The moonlight shone through the window, and the large room suddenly seemed empty and cold. Sakai got up sharply, but found the kitchen was also clean, as if her girlfriend had never come to her house, even eating late-night snacks, watching movies and having sex were all dreams.
If. If this was all a dream. Then...
Sakai Moka suddenly crouched down and clutched her head. She began to be forced to recall her girlfriend's face. Her name. Everything about her.
... Then. Did she really exist in reality?
Bearing through the headache, Sakai Moka ran back to her bedroom while starting to roughly, one by one, rummage through everything. The cell phone was here. The charger was here. The bracelet was here. The ring was here. Everything was still there. It seemed like a dream... But still unbearable. If this also a dream, and that also a dream... then what on earth is real? ! Gradually calming down from the initial panic to the helplessness that flooded her mind, Sakai stood anext to the bed to catch her breath, looking at the empty, flat sheets, suddenly wanting to cry... Those moments that were as real as a pov handheld camera seemed to dissipate in the infinite silence of this moment. Sakai Moka looked to the ring held in her hand, and suddenly recalled one of those questions from the beginning.
Her name... Her name... What was it called?
Lee Youngseo.
It was then her breath hitched. Sakai Moka suddenly couldn't feel her heartbeat.
