The Avengers undertake a crucial mission with Bucky Barnes, now a Muslim convert, fighting alongside them. During the mission, Bucky's phone unexpectedly plays the adhan.

Work Text:

The Avengers were on a mission of utmost importance, their resolve unyielding as they faced off against a formidable enemy. Bucky Barnes, once the Winter Soldier, now fought alongside his teammates with a renewed sense of purpose, his faith guiding him through the trials that lay ahead.

As they infiltrated the enemy stronghold, tension hung heavy in the air, each member of the team poised for action. Bucky, his senses heightened by years of training, moved with purpose, his metal arm a formidable weapon against their adversaries.

But amidst the chaos of battle, a familiar sound cut through the clamor—a sound that sent a jolt of surprise through Bucky's veins and brought a flush of embarrassment to his cheeks.

His phone, tucked away in the depths of his tactical gear, began to emit the haunting strains of the adhan, the Islamic call to prayer, echoing softly against the backdrop of gunfire and explosions. Bucky's eyes widened in horror as he fumbled to silence the device, his heart pounding in his chest with a mixture of embarrassment and frustration.

Sam Wilson, alias Falcon, shot him a knowing look, a mischievous twinkle in his eye. "Looks like the Winter Soldier's got a new mission—finding a quiet place to pray."

Bucky's cheeks burned with embarrassment as he muttered a hurried apology, his mind racing to come up with an explanation. "I—I forgot to silence it. It won't happen again."

Tony Stark, hovering above the battlefield in his Iron Man suit, couldn't resist adding fuel to the fire. "Maybe we should install a mosque in the Avengers Tower, just for you, Bucky."

Natasha Romanoff, ever the voice of reason, interjected with a pointed glance at Tony. "Enough, Tony. We have a mission to focus on."

Despite his embarrassment, Bucky couldn't help but feel grateful for his teammates' lighthearted banter, a reminder that even in the midst of danger, there was still room for camaraderie.

As the battle raged on, the Avengers fought side by side, their resolve unwavering in the face of adversity. And though Bucky's phone had disrupted the mission, it served as a testament to the strength of his faith—a guiding light in the darkness that surrounded them.

After the mission was successfully completed and the team found themselves aboard the Quinjet, Bucky took a moment to retreat to a quiet corner, his thoughts turning to the prayer he had missed amidst the chaos of battle.

With a sense of determination, he unfurled his prayer mat and knelt down, his movements fluid and practiced. Closing his eyes, he allowed himself to become fully immersed in the ritual, his heart filled with gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon him.

As he completed his prayer, a sense of peace washed over Bucky, his spirit renewed by the act of devotion. Rising to his feet, he rejoined his teammates, a sense of contentment settling over him as they prepared to return home.

For though the road ahead may be fraught with danger, Bucky knew that with faith as his guide, he would always find the strength to persevere—both on the battlefield and beyond.
