Work Text:
Yoongu was peacefully making his way to the arcade where he was meeting Dan, this evening. They were close to beating the highest score on their favourite battle game, and were entering a crucial juncture in chasing their goal. He excitedly made his way inside and greeted the owner of the place. he noticed right away that Dan wasn’t there yet. Actually, there weren't many people here today. Thursday evenings were never full, but there were at least a dozen people. Today, however, there were only five. Among them, he noticed a new guy, he seemed lost as he looked around, a frown on his face. He was tall and had broad shoulders, with a pretty face and pinkish blond hair.
He kinda looks like Dan hyung, in passing. He thought. And Dan was gorgeous. He could recount at least ten instances, just this year, where random people had come up to him to ask for Dan’s number or his socials.
Yoongu himself, was never asked out, but people usually came to him when they were too shy or intimidated to go to his friends directly. He hadn’t thought much about it at first, but now that Dan was dating someone, he was often third wheeling. And it wasn’t very nice to feel like you were too much. Dan’s boyfriend, Jaekyung, didn’t miss a chance to let him know he was in the way too.
His friend would never tell him that, because he was too nice, so he decided to voluntarily take himself out of the equation. The issue was, he didn’t have many friends outside of Dan, or at least ones that were close by and free to hang out. He used to have roommates he got on very well with, back in college, and they had even lived together for a while after graduating. But as they all got jobs and started getting into serious relationships, they had all moved out. And sicne he couldn’t exactly pay for a two-bedroom apartment in Seoul on his own, Yoongu had had no choice but to move out.
There was something depressing about the fact it hadn’t been his choice. Unlike his friends he hadn’t gotten the job of his dreams, or a partner or both. Instead, he was working ina restaurant because he wasn’t good enough to go professional as an athlete, and every night he went back to his studio apartment where the water tasted like shit, the heating didn’t work and the neighbours were loud starting 22h.
He felt lonely, to the point he even started envying the arguing neighbours. At least, they weren’t alone. And they always made up in the end. Loudly, did they make up.... A week after moving into his new place, he had to invest in the best pair of wireless earphones his salary as a twaiter could afford. An expensive but crucial tool to help him survive in his new living quarters.
He shook his head to chase the unpleasant thoughts away and started a game. However, five minutes later, he could only sigh as his score blinked on the screen. He was still four points short from breaking the record. He was going to insert a new coin in the slot, when he noticed a presence right behind him. He saw from the reflection on his screen that it was the man with the strawberry blond hair.
He shrugged it off, the guy was probably curious about the game. This sort of thing could happen, and even if he didn’t really like it, it was harmless. But the more time went by, the closer it felt like the man was getting. Yoongu glanced at him as he was hovering around, he was standing a bit too close for comfort. Should he make a run for it? Dan was supposed to join him at the arcade but that guy was a bit too weird. Plus, it was hard to focus on the game, with him looking over his shoulder.
As he leaned to insert his coin, his instinct told him to check out the reflection, once again. That’s when he saw him, leaning towards him, eyes closed, as he hummed in his scent.
“What the hell are you doing?!” He yelled the question as he jumped to his feet to put as much distance as possible between the two of them.
“I knew it!” The man beamed. “ I could smell there was an omega in here.”
“A what?” He blinked. Had he even heard that right?
“Let me be your alpha.”
Yoongu looked at him, baffled. No way this was an actual conversation he was having right now. Especially as the only omega he had ever heard of, was the one in the fish.
“Are you crazy?” He asked, almost out of concern. “Or maybe drunk, or something?”
The man didn’t even bother to answer him, he just sniffled towards him.
“Let me help you with your heat!” He eagerly suggested.
Yoongu saw red. “Heat”? Was he a fucking dog or something? This guy was just trying to pick up a fight!
“Are you calling me a bitch?” He asked, teeth gritted.
“No, never! '' Heesung said horrified. “Just because you're lowborn doesn’t mean you’re a bitch, and I would have liked you even if you were a beta.”
Yoongu realised then that the guy was just crazy, and that there was absolutely no point in trying to punch him.
“Whatever.” He sighed. “Can you leave me alone, now?”
“But it could be dangerous for you!” The man said, looking genuinely worried.
“What could be more dangerous than you?” Yoongu asked. ”Because you’re the only weirdo, in this place.”
“I’m not a weirdo!” He explained gently. “Dominant alphas aren’t that much different from the rest. We just tend to have better physical and intellectual capabilities, and better stamina.”
Yoongu could almost laugh at the situation if it wasn’t a little scary that a crazy person was fixated on him. That’s just my luck. Dan hyung gets asked out by pretty girls and handsome guys and I get smelled on by lunatics.
“ If you’re on your own in this condition, an alpha might try and take advantage of you!” The man continued. Yoongu’s mind went blank, all these alpha, omega, beta or whatnot, was starting to give him a headache. Aren’t there supposed to be sigmas or something too? He felt his brain rotting by the second. Never in his life had he ever thought that showering regularly would cause him problems.
“I’m not defenceless, I’ve been doing martial arts for seventeen years, I can handle myself.”
“Really?” The man seemed enchanted to hear that. “That’s amazing. I’d be even more honoured if you let me be your mate.”
Yoongu was left speechless. He was starting to worry for this guy’s mental health.
Dan arrived as he was blankly staring at the man in front of him. His friend glanced at the two of them, wary.
“Hey.” Dan started. “Is this a new friend of yours?”
“Oh, your friend is an omega too!” The man grinned, sniffling towards Dan before he could even answer. Leaving his hyung baffled, as he shot him a horrified look. “Oh I see you have an alpha already.” He nodded appreciatively.
“Yoongu what the hell is going on?” Dan whispered hurriedly to him. Eyes wide open, and nostrils flared. The situation was bad, but the terrified look on his friend’s face made him look like a hamster, which was kinda adorable.
“He’s crazy, let’s just make a run for it at three.” He whispered hurriedly.
“What are you guys whispering about?” The pink-haired man tucked his head to the side. He could have looked cute if he wasn't totally crazy.
“Now!” Yoongu yelled, giving the signal for their escape. They started running as fast as they possibly could. The man was too stunned to react, and did not seem to even attempt to follow them. They stopped once they figured they were far enough and they wouldn’t cross paths with him again.
“Who the hell was that?” Dans asked, looking horrified.
“I don’t know, I think he was one of those red pill podcasters.” He frowned. “But then again, I’m pretty sure he was trying to hook up with me…”
“What's a red pill podcast?” Dan asked, dumbfounded.
“It’s where your boyfriend gets his dating advice from.” He teased him, complimenting it with a slap on his back. Dan made a face.
“Well, that’s concerning.” He admitted, making him laugh even harder.
“I can’t believe you’ve never heard of those crazy macho guys podcasts.” Yoongu chuckled.” It’s little things like that that show your age, hyung!”
“Hey, I’m only thirty.” He puffed his cheeks.
“I’m joking!” He said as he hooked his arm around Dan’s shoulders. “Let’s go to the pc café, since the arcade is off limits today.”
“Oh great, we can co-op the dungeon, to level up our weapons!” Dan grinned.
“Then let’s go!”
They had a fun late afternoon, despite the weird encounter at the arcade. Yoongu always had fun around Dan, because even if he was the oldest of the friend group, he was the only one that didn’t treat him like a kid. And there were certain things he was only comfortable to tell him, and vice versa.
So in times where he was feeling a bit lonely, he wished Jaekyung would stop coming out of nowhere to steal him away. He understood though, they wanted to spend as much time together, as possible. It made sense fro a new couple. It was unfortunate that Jaekyung didn’t seem interested in hanging out with anyone else but his boyfriend, because then Dan wouldn't feel like he had to choose between them. And the last thing Yoongu wanted, was to put his friend in an awkward position, so he just bowed out whenever he needed to.
And tonight was one of those days where he wished they could have hung out longer. He happily chatted with Dan as he walked him home. It was on the way to his place anyway and the truth was, he didn’t want to go home yet. He'd hoped they would go out to get drinks and maybe crash together at one of their places, while watching movies or something. Alas, Jaekyung had called. But the pink hue on Dan’s cheeks and his little smile the closer they got to his house, it was all too adorable. They must really love each other. He thought fondly, before wondering what that was like.
Dan hugged him goodbye and Yoongu went on his way. He saw a convenience store from afar and since he had nothing to eat at home, he decided to stop by. The perfect excuse to go in and get a drink, to get his mind off of things.
He entered the small shop, took instant noodles, 2 wrapped kimbaps and a bottle of soju. Luckily for him there was a free table right outside, he sat down on the plastic chair and waited for his noodles to simmer in the boiling water.
That’s when he noticed someone sitting on a concrete block. With the body frame and the unusual hair colour, he immediately recognised the freak from the arcade. But he wasn’t smiling anymore. He was looking gloomily at the floor, while munching with difficulty on a stale piece of bread. He looks even more pitiful than me. He observed him in silence for a minute. The pity he felt for the man took over, and suddenly, he had forgotten all about the crazy talk from earlier.
“Are you following me?” He asked, knowing full well, the other man had been there first.
The man frowned before turning to look at him, then his eyes widened as they recognised him.
“You’re back!” He said, surprised.
“Were you waiting for me?”
“No, but I was hoping I would see you again.” He smiled.
“Why are you sitting on the ground?”
“The owner didn’t want me to take the seats reserved for clients.” He pouted. “But I have no money on me, it seems like I lost my wallet. “
“Maybe you left it at home.” He said.
“But I don’t remember where my home is…” he sighed. “Maybe I don’t even have one, maybe I'm a beggar on the streets.”
Yoongu glanced at the designer clothes and shoes he was wearing, his perfectly styled hair and his blemish free skin. There wasn’t a single thing out of place on him. Fat chance.
“Were you in an accident or something, today?” He asked.
“Well, I woke up in the middle of the day, on a park bench, if that’s something.”
“Maybe it’s exposure that’s messing with your memory then.” He suggested.
“But I feel fine.” Heesung subconsciously leaned towards him. “The only thing that’s been bothering me, is finding my mate.”
Oh god, not again! Yoongu wanted to run away but he couldn’t with his boiling hot noodles.
“Ever since I woke up I’ve had this unbearable feeling in my chest.” The man explained, frowning, as he clenched his shirt. “Like my soulmate is just around the corner and yet he’s out of my reach… I had been looking for my omega for hours until I crossed paths with you. I immediately was captivated by your divine scent.” He said fervently, making Yoongu cringe. He was going to throw his soap away, first thing, when he got home.
“It suddenly felt like I had always known you! I was sure in that instant that I had found my other half, the one I could finally entirely devote myself to, someone to love, cherish and protect. But I only frightened you.” He said regretfully. “ As I saw you run away, my heart sank and I thought I could never be happy again.” He swallowed hard.
And it suddenly all made sense to Yoongu. Behind the weird story about omegas, what he was saying was simple. He felt sad and lonely and was looking for some company. Just like him.
“But then you came back.” The man smiled as he looked at him.
Yoongu knew better than what he was about to do. But desperate people don’t make for the best decision makers. What’s the fuss about sharing a meal with a stranger anyway? “Nothing.” The half empty bottle of soju answered him.
“What’s your name?” He asked.
“Heesung.” The man answered eagerly. “What is yours?”
“Yoongu.”
“Enchanted to meet you, Yoongu.” Heesung said with soft eyes, cheeks flushed.
“Do you want to share a meal with me?” He asked, before his brain could make him stop this nonsense.
“I’d be happy to.” Heesung beamed.
“Then sit at the table, while I go get you something to eat. Do you mind noodles and kimbap? Soju is fine too, right?”
“Anything’s fine.”
“Alright, I’ll be back.”
With each step, his brain was screaming at him to get back to his senses and leave without saying a word. But he didn’t want to. Being lonely and miserable wasn’t a crime. He wished there could be someone to keep him company and help him chase the bad thoughts away. But there wasn’t. So maybe, he could at least be the one to do that for someone else.
He set the food and alcohol in front of the man, who bowed deeply in gratitude. He thought it was the end of it, but he grabbed his hand and kissed it. Shaking him off, he sat back down in front of his noodles and started eating.
Heesung. That’s a pretty name. His mind wandered as he watched the man in front of him.
Heesung sighed in contentment as he munched on the kimbap. It looked like he hadn’t eaten in a while and somehow he felt a sense of satisfaction at seeing him enjoying his meal.
“So, have you met other omegas today?”
“Yes, most people are betas, but I still crossed paths with a couple of them, as well as other alphas.”
“Won’t any omega do?”
“No!” Heesung exclaimed. “Being an alpha or omega doesn’t do everything, we’re not that different from regular people. I fell for you at first sight, and I never had that before” He said, grabbing his hand. “Well… it’s more like love at first scent, in this case. “ he tenh added with a chuckle.
Yoongu blinked a couple times, before slowly retracting his hand. Yeah that guy was a little crazy, or on drugs. He seemed harmless though.
“So, you’re saying you fell in love with me?”
“Absolutely, I would rather die than be separated from you again.”
“Alright, let’s calm down for a second. No need to go to such extremes.”
“Sorry, my instinct as an alpha tells me to claim you right here, right now. Just the idea that anyone could steal you away from me, before I have the chance to make you mine, is unbearable.”
“Yeah, that’s not gonna happen. I’m definitely not the popular type, so don’t worry about that.” He shrugged.
Heesung frowned at that. “It makes no sense, you’re the most adorable person I've ever met.”
“That’s not true, you met my friend Dan earlier, and he’s way cuter.”
“Maybe…” Heesung shrugged. “I only like you though.” Yoongu couldn’t help but react at these words, his face burning up. It was nice hearing this for the first time. Even if it was pathetic that it could only come from a maniac who’d lost his head.
It might be the alcohol getting to his head, his loneliness, the compliments or all of it. But Yoongu did something incredibly stupid next.
“Wanna come over to my place?” He asked.
“Can I?” Heesung asked, his eyes widening, as a grin broke on his face.
“Well, I can't just let you sleep outside. That’d be cruel.” Yoongu cleared his throat, cheeks burning. Heesung eagerly nodded, and Yoongu was relieved he wasn’t questioning him. He downed his last glass of soju and got up.
“Come on, it’s getting cold.”
Heesung jumped up from his seat, running to him like a puppy, a stupid grin plastered on his face. But as everything that concerned Heesung, something weird happened next. A van that had been driving next to them slowed down and backed up until it was at their level. The driver rolled the windows down and called to them. Yoongu ignored him, but then the man got out of the car and stopped them in the middle of the sidewalk. Yoongu positionned himself between Heesung and the man.
“What are you doing? Do you know how worried I was?!” The man said as he sighed deeply. “I almost went to the police to report you missing. Come on, let’s go home.”
But Heesung didn’t seem to want to follow the man. He just looked him up and down.
“I'm already taken.” He wrapped an arm around Yoongu.” I have an omega, I'm claiming him as mine tonight.”
Yoongu frowned, he didn’t even want to know what that was supposed to mean.
“You…” The man seemed flabbergasted. “Is this your so-called “method acting”?!” He asked, dumbfounded. “Let’s just go back to the company, I'm tired.”
The man moved towards Heesung, who stepped back.
“I’m sorry but he doesn’t seem to want to go with you.” Yoongu said. This man was very suspicious and that big van he was driving wasn’t any better. The pink-haired man was gorgeous and vulnerable, the perfect prey to all sorts of creeps. And he wasn’t going to abandon him to his fate. “Don’t you think you’re being a little weird?!”
“Huh? But you’re the stranger trying to lure him away.” The man accused him.
“Excuse-me?!” Yoongu was outraged. “Who’s the creepy middle-aged man trying to make him board his suspicious black van?! You’re only missing the candy and you’d be the perfect predator!” He said accusingly. “He’s not all there and he’s a bit creepy himself, but I'm’ not gonna let you kidnap him!” He said , pointing at Heesung who was looking at him with hearts in his eyes.
Was he not worried, at all?! How could he be so relaxed?!
“Ok, I see. This is some sort of sick roleplay.” The man sighed. “I’m out, you’re a big boy, you can take care of yourself. You better be on time tomorrow.”
The man finally left in his shady van and Yoongu turned towards Heesung.
“What did he mean? Do you really not know him?”
“I know him.” Heesung shrugged.
“What?!” Yoongu choked on his spit. “Couldn’t you say something sooner?!”
“Well I just know that he was there when I woke up in the park. He asked me if I was okay and I told him I was looking for my omega, so he said he would help me. I followed him but it was a trick and he tried to lock me up in his van.”
“Oh my god! We should have called the police. Why weren’t you scared?!” He said, horrified.
“Well I easily ran away the first time, and I'm thrice his size, he doesn’t exactly pose much of a threat.”
“He’s probably one of those creeps that pretends to be casting actors and models! Do not go anywhere he told you to. It’s probably a place where he has back-up. He must be really trying to get you if he searched for you for hours.” He said, alarmed.
“Okay, I'll stay with you.” Heesung smiled.
“Come on, let’s go to my place before we see him again.” He grabbed the man’s hand and led him through the streets.
As he opened the door to his studio room, he remmebered the state he had left it in this morning and regretted not cleaning before leaving. Cheeks flushed, he invited Heesung in, but the man didn’t make any remarks nor any grossed out expressions.
“Do you want to take a shower?” He asked him as they got home. “You were sitting on that curb for a good minute, back there.”
“If you don’t mind.” Heesung nodded.
“It’s that way, I’ll try to find you some clothes that fit.”
“I don’t mind going around naked.”
“I’ll find something” He insisted. Because he minded very much.
Twenty minutes later, Heesung came back, buck naked and Yoongu had to throw him the pants he’d found and make him dress.
“I don’t want another alpha’s pants!” Heesung complained as Yoongu was trying to force him to put his leg in. “Just give me one of your pairs of underwear.”
“They won’t fit you!” Yoongu raged, his cheeks flushed from the effort and the bouncing phallus just centimetres away from his face.
“I don’t want alpha stinking pants!” Heesung childishly exclaimed.
“He’s not an alpha! Ugh!” He felt like he was going crazy. “There my friend’s, we used to live together with other friends and he forgot to take those back after he moved out, so I keep them for when i have people crashing over at my place. Like when his girlfriend throws him out of their apartment, for example.” The last bit of information, appeased Heesung and he finally agreed to put the pants on. After that, Yoongu went to take a well deserved shower. The upside of all that craziness was that it had kept him from thinking about all the ways in which his life sucked, right now. So really, he couldn’t complain.
He got out of the shower to find Heesung tidying up his place. He had cleared the table and kitchen counter and was now swiping the floor.
“You don’t have to do that.” He told him. So embarrassed he felt like dying.
“No, I need to earn my keep.”
“Fine, then don’t forget the bathroom.” He teased him.
“Okay.” Heesung grinned as he went to clean the bathroom too. Yoongu watched him go, stunned, it felt like ordering a dog around.
“Heesung, come back here! I was kidding.”
“You were?” Heesung passed his head through the door frame.
“Yeah, come here.” He patted the seat next to him on the couch. Heesung happily joined him and sat straight, hands on his knees as he looked at him eagerly.
Yoongu let out a laugh, this truly did feel like he was taming a huge puppy.
“Good!” He ruffled his hair. “Do you want to watch something or do you want to play games?”
“I want to cuddle with you.” He said honestly.
“Not now, I'm still a bit unsure about you.”
“Fine, then let’s play something.”
Yoongu decided to go for a good old fashioned fighting game. They had fun and with the alcohol he had earlier, it didn't even feel awkward to have the stranger at his place. That probably wasn’t a good thing though. But he still couldn’t find a way to care.
“How old are you?” He asked after a while.
“Twenty six, I’m pretty sure.”
“Do you know what you do for a living?”
“No, it’s all a bit blurry. But maybe modelling or something, since I'm so handsome. ” He winked at him, but Yoongu was unfazed.
“It’s weird you don’t remember anything aside from your name. I should have probably taken you to a hospital.” He realised, a bit late.
“We’ll go tomorrow if I still don’t remember anything. But I'm sure that cuddling in bed with my omega will heal me of all my troubles.” He batted his eyelashes at him.
“What’s an omega like, anyway? You said earlier that alphas were stronger and smarter than most people, so there must be something that makes them special too.”
“Well, first of all, they can bear children, men and women alike.” Heesung eagerly explained. And Yoongu felt like he had been dosed in icy water. “They’re delicate and beautiful, caring and nurturing. They have a great sense of family and loyalty and fiercely protect the ones they love. The last one is a shared trait with alphas, they just tend to go about it in a more “refined” way. If you get what I mean.”
Yoongu observed him in silence, he seemed so happy to explain all of that to him. Unaware of how unhinged, he sounded. And should he be insulted or happy that he saw all those qualities in him?
“Doesn’t sound like me, to be honest. I really think you made a mistake.”
“It’s not possible. And even if you’re not an omega, it doesn’t change a thing. By instinct alphas tend to look for omegas but it can happen that their faithed pair isn’t one. You have a lot of qualities that I love. And one thing is sure, alphas don’t make mistakes when it comes to their mates.” Heesung insisted. “I mean, you fed me and kept me company, even after I freaked you out. You even invited me into your house so I wouldn't spend the night outside and defended me when a stranger tried to kidnap me. If that’s not proof of how amazing you are, I don't know what is.”
“Hmm…” Was all he could mutter as his heart was beating so loud in his chest, that he felt dizzy. I’m getting butterflies from an unhinged lunatic that thinks he can get me pregnant. Shows where I stand in my life, right now.
He turned off the game console to put on a random channel on the tv.
“Are you upset?” Heesung asked, worried. “I didn’t mean to offend you, I’m sorry if I did.”
“No, you didn’t upset me. It’s just a lot.” He chuckled awkwardly. "I mean, you don't even know me!"
And he hated that it sounded like a reproach. Like he was mad at Heesung that they didn’t really know each other, like it was his fault. And he knew that wasn’t fair but he just wanted someone to care for him, to love him for real. Not because they were confused and out of their minds.
“We can get to know each other.” Heesung replied, as he started playing with the little hairs at the base of his neck, making Yoongu shiver.
“What if you forget all about me? What if you only care because you’re confused and think you’re an alpha?” He said, sounding bitter.
“I don’t know, maybe you’re right and maybe all those details are just in my head.” Heesung conceded. “But what i feel here.” He took Yoongu’s hand and held it against his heart. “Feels pretty real. It was aching all day until I met you, and since you started talking to me it’s been warm and threatening to burst from happiness.”
Yoongu felt his own heart skip a beat as he felt the rapid rhythm of Heesung’s heart.
“Maybe I'm crazy, or maybe I’m just a helpless romantic but I do believe in fate. And no matter what, I think there was a reason we met today. If I can only ease your pain for one night, then so be it. It’s much more than I could ever hope for, already.”
Yoongu flinched, surprised by his word. So Heesung wasn't as unaware as he looked, he had noticed he was having a bad day.
“It’s kinda crazy if you think about it. I’d be an idiot to believe you.” He said, turning to him.
“Idiots are happier from what I‘ve heard.” Heesung chuckled.
And the man was lovely when he laughed. Yoongu contemplated his options, and he wasn’t sure of anything aside from one, he didn’t want to let the man go.
“You’re really lovely.” Heesung sighed in amazement after a while, unknowingly speaking aloud, the way Yoongu felt about him too.
“Thanks.” He snorted, trying to act detached despite his cheeks and ears radiating with heat.
“Can I hold you in my arms?”
Yoongu pondered, his reason was screaming "No", but his body thought it would be a shame to turn down a try in the big muscular arms.
“Mmmh… only for a bit.” He agreed. If things went wrong, he would just blame the alcohol for all his bad decisions, tomorrow.
Heesung’s smile grew broader and he didn’t wait for a second, before wrapping an arm around his waist to pull him closer. Acting fast, like he was scared Yoongu would change his mind.
It was warm, being in Heesung’s arms, his bare chest was firm but comfortable and Yoongu had to use all his might, to not cave in and nuzzle his face right in the middle of it. He couldn’t even tell what the show they were watching was about, he’d been dozing off as soon as Heesung had embraced him. They ended up lying down on the couch, facing the tv. Yoongu’s back was resting against Heesung’s chest, while the man had his face buried in his neck. He planted a few kisses there, and Yoongu felt his skin burn everywhere his lips touched. More than that, it gave him butterflies in his stomach. Is it just me or does it feel really intimate? He wondered, whole body burning a couple degrees hotter.
“Can I scent you?”
“Smell me?” He cocked an eyebrow.
“No, put my scent all over you.” He answered, whispering in his ear.
“What, you’re gonna pee on my leg or something?!” He snorted.
“Ugh, of course not!” Heesung whined.
“Whatever, you’re the one asking weird shit.” He laughed.
Heesung pouted for a couple seconds, but he was soon kissing him again. Yoongu felt tingles go down his spine every time the lips grazed his nape, the little hairs at the back of his head standing up. Was that what he called scenting? It just felt like caresses. It's not so bad. He sighed in contentment, closing his eyes. There was something so comforting about the small caresses, it made him feel appreciated. He let out a giggle from his throat as Heesung’s hair tickled his shoulder.
“You're going to hurt your neck if you stay hunched like that, any longer. “ He said.
“You’re so lovely, worrying about me.” Heesung said in an enamoured voice. “Don’t worry about me, I feel the best I've ever been.”
Yoongu let him do as he pleased, if it was okay with him, he wasn’t about to complain. After a while, Heesung hovered over a specific part of his neck, his nape.
“Can I bite you?” He asked, rubbing the tip of his nose gently against it.
“Why, are you a vampire?” He joked.
“Of course not!” Heesung chuckled
“Oh right, if you’re an alpha, you must be a werewolf.” He rectified.
“A werewolf?” Heesung repeated, snorting at how ridiculous it sounded. “Of course not, this isn’t a fantasy, this is real life.” He laughed.
“Right, cause that would be ridiculous.” Yoongu raised an eyebrow, baffled by how unselfaware the man was.
“You’re so funny.” Heesung chuckled before lightly biting his ear.
The action sent tingles through Yoongu’s body, lower than his stomach this time. He squirmed, feeling self-conscious about his body’s response to all of Heesung’s attention. The soft kisses against his skin turned into light biting and sucking, and he knew he would be left with marks tomorrow. But that was the least of his problems as the tension was growing in his groin, and he started aching for the soft pink lips to touch his. He tentatively turned to look at Heesung and their noses bumped. They stared at each other for what a minute, before their lips finally met. Yoongu hadn’t even felt himself move forward, it was as if he’d been pulled by an invisible force.
Their lips moved slowly at first, then a tongue licked his lips, asking for entrance. He waited until there was a tug on his lower lip, before he granted access. His toes curled as the tongue explored his mouth. He felt his body burn, he was discovering so many new sensations. Heesung’s soft and cold fingers stroked his cheek, giving a much needed relief to his overheated skin. A familiar scent filled his lungs the closer they got, it was his soap and yet it seemed different and refreshing, mixed with Heesung's natural smell.
Heesung pulled away from the kiss, and Yoongu realised that he was desperately gasping for air. He shifted to his other side, so that they were now facing each other, their chests touching. The man did not stay away for long though. Heesung contemplated his body for a second, and dived right back down to his neck. Inhaling deeply.
“You smell amazing.” He muttered between two kisses.
“It’s the soap.” Yoongu felt the need to point out, making Heesung chuckle against his neck. It sent alother salve of tingles down his spine, all the way to his toes. He ran a hand through the gorgeous strawberry blond locks, it was so soft he couldn’t resist the urge to nuzzle his nose in them.
Heesung was now leaving fluttering kisses all over his collarbones, tickling him. A giggle escaped his lips and Heesung looked up at him, smiling.
“That was cute.” He said before capturing his lips again.
Yoongu was starting to feel lightheaded, he could still feel the tingles everywhere Heesung had kissed him, and the way his tongue was moving against his was exhilarating. And the warm hand against the back of his neck, was soft and reassuring.
He tentatively tried to move his tongue around, to convey he was havign a good time. The clumsy attempt made Heesung chuckle.
“I’m trying.” He mumbled, frowning.
“I’m not making fun of you. I think you’re adorable.” Heesung grinned. “I don’t mind teaching you either.”
“Then show me.”
Heesung smirked and closed the distance between them. It was more eager this time, more passionate. They both desperately gripped at anything they could put their hands on, their need for proximity taking over any last bit of good judgement they had. It came to the point where their bodies were so intertwined, that each movement made Yoongu's crotch rub on Heesung’s abs, sending a wave of pleasure through his body. He couldn’t help the moans that escaped his lips as they moved frantically against each other. Their lips parting only for a few seconds at a time, to catch their breaths. He could tell Heesung was just as excited as he was, if the bulge in his pants was any indication.
Despite all the madness he had been rumbling about, Heesung had been kind and patient with him, tonight. It might be all because of his confused state, but it was the first time he had been treated this way, and he wouldn’t forget about it, even if it didn’t last beyond tonight.
Heesung shuffled their positions on the couch, so that he was now on top of him and between his legs. Yoogu winced as their lower halves bumped against each other. It felt so good, he lost his mind and his hips started moving on their own.
“You’re so eager.” The man chuckled, pleased.
“It feels good.” Yoongu groaned as a hand slid between their bodies to stroke his toned abs.
“I can’t wait to put babies in your belly.” Heesung whispered seductively in his ear.
Killing the mood.
Yoongu’s eyes shot wide open, a cold shiver running through his body.
“Why the hell would you say that?!” He exclaimed, sitting up as he pushed Heesung off of him. “That’s horrifying!”
“Oh… sorry.” Heesung said apologetically. “I couldn’t help it, my instincts took over.”
Yoongu crossed his arms over his chest, as if to protect his body. “I can’t have babies, and I’m way too young for that, anyway!”
“I know, I know. I’m sorry. “Heesung pleaded, coming closer to him.
“Stay on your side.” Yoongu pointed at him, as a warning.
“Oh ok…” Heesung said, sitting on his knees, hands resting on his thighs. He looked kinda dumb sitting like that with a massive erection in his pants.
Yoongu wanted to keep the crazy baby talk at bay but the dejected look on Heesung’s face, made his heart throb. It felt like he was punching a puppy.
“Let’s go to bed. I think that’s more than enough for today.” He cleared his throat as he got up.
“Can I sleep on the couch at least?” Heesung asked him, looking at him with big sad eyes. Ah, come on, don’t make me look like the bad guy! Like I was going to make you sleep on the floor!
Yoongu knew he was getting played by the tearful act, but how could he resist? The man was gorgeous, courted him all night, was an amazing kisser and he still couldn’t forget the intense desire he felt as their bodies rubbed together.
“The couch is too small for you to sleep on, we can just share my bed.” He said in a detached way, like his whole body wasn’t flushing from embarrassment.
“Really?” Heesung beamed.
“If you didn’t hear it the first time, forget it!” He huffed, stomping his feet on the ground as he walked to his bed.
“No, I heard it!” The man cheerfully said as he joined him under the covers.
“Can I hold you?”
“Sure.” He shrugged. He was acting indifferent but as Heesung wrapped his arms around him from behind, and rested his head against his, he felt his heart skip a bit and his stomach churn. You idiot, don’t fall for the unhinged maniac that thinks he’s half wolf! Was the last thing he told himself before he fell into a deep slumber, and for the first time in a long while, he slept soundly.
A ray of light fell right onto his face, as morning slipped in the room through a gap in the curtains. He frowned, groaning as he flipped on his other side. He sat up, rubbing his eyes until he could open them. Then he noticed him. Silent, at the end of the bed, Heesung was looking through the small opening in the curtains.
He felt his heart sink at the sight and knew before he even asked.
“Do you remember everything?”
Heesung turned to him, a sorry smile on his face.
“Yeah…” he sighed. “I just remembered everything as I woke up.”
“I see…” He felt disappointed to hear that, he might have sounded insane but thanks to last night’s Heesung, he had felt much better.
“I’m not an alpha…” Heesung said awkwardly. “I’ve been reading a new novel, and I don’t know… I fainted in the sun during my shoot yesterday, and I must have confused the novel with real life when I regained consciousness. I’m so sorry…”
“It’s fine.” Yoongu snorted. “It’s not like I believed you were.” He bit his lip, feeling ashamed with his own actions himself. “I’m sorry too. I shouldn’t have asked you to come over, I should have brought you to a doctor.”
“Don’t be. I had fun.” He smiled. “And thanks for not punching me when I talked about putting babies in your belly, I will probably remember this embarrassment for the rest of my life.”
“I was pretty close to doing it, to be honest.” He chuckled.
“Well… I should probably get going now, they’re waiting for me at work.” Heesung hesitated. “The man from yesterday wasn’t trying to kidnap me by the way, he’s my manager. He probably tried to lock me up in the van to keep me from doing something stupid. Like I ended up doing.” He scratched the back of his neck.
”So you’re like an actor, or something?” He asked.
“I’m a model, actually. But I’ve been meaning to try my hand at acting, so I've been auditioning here and there.”
“I see.”
Heesung got up and Yoongu did the same.
“Hm, do you want to eat something before you leave?” He offered.
“No, it’s fine.” He said as he grabbed his clothes and started putting them on. “I’m going to be late if I don’t leave now.”
“Sure.”
Yoongu walked Heesung back to the door, and the man turned to him one last time.
“It was nice meeting you.” He said.
“You too.” Yoongu said, his stomach churning. He didn't want to say goodbye, not if they would never see each other again. Could he ask for his number or would that be too much? But he didn’t make up his mind fast enough, Heesung was already disappearing at the end of the hallway, when he emerged from his thoughts.
Disappointed, he closed his door and stood still for a moment. He had grown way too attached to a stranger he’d met the night before. It was pathetic to say the least. He was so starved for love and affection, he was falling for the first lunatic that showed a bit of interest in him. He contemplated his life for a minute, but there was no point wallowing in self pity. He was about to go take a shower when the bell rang.
His heart skipped a beat. Had Heesung come back?! Excited and with butterflies in his stomach, he went to the door. He hated how giddy he was, but he couldn’t help it.
However, his joy was short-lived. As he opened the door, his smile dropped at the sight of his friend, Dan.
“What are you doing here?” He asked, feeling guilty for being disappointed.
“You didn’t seem to be doing very well yesterday, so I wanted to check up on you.” Dan said, frowning. “Yoongu… I crossed paths with the weirdo from yesterday as I walked up your street. Did you see him again after I left?” And as he said that, his eyes looked down at his neck and collarbones, where there were love bites.
“Yes, at the convenience store.” he truthfully answered as Dan followed him inside. “We ate and then got to talking, he wasn’t so bad so i invited him back to my place…” He let Dan connect the dots.
“Yoongu…” And he could hear the worry in Dan’s voice. “That could have been dangerous.”
“So what?! I’m fine, aren’t I?!” He snapped, emotions spilling out. “It’s not a crime to be sad and lonely, I just wanted some company and he was kind to me. It was the first time someone ever complimented me. I know it’s nothing to normal people, but it meant a lot to me.”
“I’m not judging you.” Dan said, trying to appease him. “I’m just worried about your well being because I care for you. You’re an amazing friend and anyone would be lucky to have you in their life. I just don’t want you to put yourself in danger for some reconfort.”
“You don’t get it.” He said, biting his lips.
“I do.” Dan frowned. “Before meeting Jaekyung I had never known any of this either. I know how painful and heartbreaking it is to feel lonely. I do. That’s why I’m here.”
Yoongu felt like a total ass, he knew all that and yet he still had been a jerk.
“Sorry.” He said, looking down. “I’m just so ashamed of being like that.”
“There’s nothing to be ashamed of.” Dan closed the distance between them and hugged him.
“Thanks.” He mumbled, hiding his face in his friend’s shoulder. “I wish I had met him normally, maybe we could have gotten to know each other then.”
Dan was about to say something to him when the doorbell rang again.
“Oh this is probably the postman, give me a sec.“
Dan nodded. “I’ll start breakfast.” He said, shaking the bag in his hand.
He put on his slippers and went to open the door. He gasped when he came face to face with Heesung. The man was panting, like he’d run to get here.
“Hey.” He said betweens two gasps of air.
“H-heesung?!” He managed to say, eyes wide in surprise.
“I realised I didn’t have your number.” Heesung explained, grinning. “We said we were going to get to know each other right? Or have you changed your mind?”
“Right…” he said, cheeks flushing. “No, I'd love that.”
“Great, because I meant every single thing I told you yesterday. You're lovely, Yoongu.”
“Well, I thought you were a bit weird, but all in all, you were pretty kind.” He said, making the other laugh.
“Look, I’ll take you on a real date, no alpha talk, I promise. And I’ll have my wallet with me, this time.”
“No smelling strangers either.”
“Oh god…” Heesung paled. “I forgot about that! I promise, it won’t happen again.”
“Alright.” Yoongu smiled, handing his phone over to him.
“Done.” Heesung smiled as he handed his phone back to him. “I’ll be waiting to hear from you.”
Yoongu nodded, face red.
“I should really get going now, or my manager will kill me.”
“See you.” He mumbled, heart pounding in his chest.
The man disappeared after shooting him one last smile, that left him in a daze. He was insane for even entertaining this. But if it was crazy, why did it feel so right?
