Work Text:
Satoru had a tough day.
He felt down, and it didn't help that he was mistreated by almost everyone that day. Finally, after coming home, he curled up into a ball and hugged his pillow. He remembered all the stuff that he had been told -- that could only be described as simply rude -- and tears threatened to spill out of his eyes. He didn't like admitting this, and only Randal knew, but deep down, he was very sensitive.
He tossed and turned, unable to get some rest. It wasn't really a nice feeling, plus Randal wasn't even there to comfort him. A lot of thoughts rushed onto his mind, what would Randal think if he knew how pathetic Satoru really was? He would definitely leave him. God, he didn't even want to think about that.
It had been what? 30 minutes now? Satoru didn't know, and he didn't really want to know what time it was now. But finally, he heard a knock on the door, and he simply knew it was Randal.
His heart was beating fast now, it was obvious he had been crying softly for a while now. Well, it wasn't that obvious, but it was really easy to tell that something was off. Satoru was like a piece of glass, a really pretty dark purple colored one.
Randal walked in and spoke in a his usual manner, something that didn't seem to bother Satoru. "Satoruuuu~ what's up? Did I make you wait again?"
Satoru smiled softly and sat down on his bed. "I guess you did. I really did miss you..." even though he said that with a smile, it was obvious something was not right.
"Heeeey. You don't have to hide your feelings around me, I know somethings wrong. You can talk to me about it." Randal smiled.
They both sat in an awkward silence for a while, until Satoru sighed and decided to speak. "I was simply treated badly by everyone today, and you know how that makes me feel..."
Randal smiled softly, it wasn't a smile that seemed malicious or anything, but more or so a smile that wanted to comfort him. Randal took a few steps closer to the person who held a special place in his heart, and kissed his forehead softly before sitting down next to him.
"Everything will be alright, Satoru."
Satoru trusted Randal.
And he knew everything was going to be fine, if Randal was by his side.
