Chapter Text
"SANS!" Yelled Papyrus. 'So cool' I thought, jokingly. Papyrus was my younger brother and was most likely autistic. (Very much so, if I do say so myself.)
"SANS!" Papyrus continued, "SANS THIS IS IMPORTANT! ER- AT LEAST, THIS MAN-"
"paps, what did i say about letting strangers in? god, i know monsters don't hurt each other like humans do, but you'll probably clean out the fridge," I sigh. I hate rambling.
"BUT SANS, THEY-" There was a moment's pause. "HE? SAYS HE KNOWS US!"
Yup, That's my bro. Definitely, 100%, Certified Autistic-
But gods, I did not expect the warm, stern voice I knew all too well.
"Sans. Stop scolding your brother- (Oh my stars, it feels weird having a conversation that is not entirely one-sided.)"
No. "g- wait, sorry- hold on!" I said as I took a shortcut downstairs, extending my hand. "sorry 'bout that, i-" and when I opened my eyes, there was no mistaking it.
"SANS! I TOLD YOU! (NYEH HEH HEH!)" A pause. "heh!"
~~
I watched as my son 'subtly glanced' (HARDCORE STARED) at me.
"so, uh, paps, we kinda need to talk.."
"Sans," I say. "Why are you being so conspicuous?"
"paps, go to your room."
"Who are you to-"
Papyrus still did not move.
"papyrus, go to your room."
"Sans. Answer me."
"I'M NOT GOING!!"
"papyrus, NOW." After those words had been said, the room dropped dead silent. Papyrus began to shake.
"SANS..?"
~~
Papyrus stormed off. It would have been the first big argument since D- GASTER.. disappeared.
I was furious, to say the least. "YOU." I spun on my heel, (Nearly tripping over my shoe,) "what is WRONG with you? that was the FIRST fight we've had since i was FOURTEEN!!"
"Sans, there was nothing I-"
"NOTHING? YOU FOUND A WAY TO ERASE YOURSELF, SO FIND A WAY TO COME THE FUCK BACK. GET OVER YOURSELF! GOD, I CAN'T BELIE-"
"SANS!" He snapped. Silence. "Listen to me. I was trapped in an empty realm of NOTHING. Sans, there was NOTHING I or anyone else could have done. Stars, and I thought you were the mature one."
I stared at my feet, avoiding eye contact.
Something wasn't the same.
